I love this restaurant but I wish they have more vegetarian options like tofu curry or something like that. The owner is super sweet, so kind that its even hard to impose on him once you get to know him better. They have made errors a few times on my orders but Ive learned to be very specific when placing my orders now so they do not replicate the mistakes. The skinny girl with the glasses is the only thing that annoys me at this cute little restaurant, she always seems to have a bit of an attitude or say something unnecessary, and chooses not to use the calculators right in front of her and tries to to basic math in her head but falls short on change sometimes. Like why not just use the calculators instead of asking your customers? Efficiency and time is a thing too, your customers dont have all day to wait for you to play 3rd grade math in your head. Some might not mind but she certainly is annoying if youre a regular.

I have spent a great deal of time hunting down the best Indian cuisine in town. When Tandoori Night moved in I was excited to finally have an Indian restaurant in north Fresno. I have tried nearly all their dishes and have never had something I didnt like. Newbies should look at getting Chicken Tikki Masala or a Lamb Korma. Both are flavorful dishes you will be most pleased with. For the more adventurous, try the Chicken Kashmiri (the perfect spicy/sweet with pineapple chunks) or the Saag Panner (creamed spinach, it tastes better than it looks, I promise). The best accompaniments are a mango lassi (to cool your tongue when you order your dish spicier than you can handle) and onion kulcha or garlic naan. Tandoori Night also does take out. The restaurant is always very clean and the staff always helpful when you have any questions.

I had a roast grill or bbq craving and ordered the $15 sheez kabob we all know how that looks and taste. well they gave me hot dog process meat that is dry it was wrinkle and heated on top a skillet. IT wasnt on a skewer. i had to ask them to bring me my rice and salad after 15 minute, i was starting to wonder if it was included or not. They are Asian and Asian don’t eat until the rice is on the table. Service way slow food old and process no flavor. Hot dog meat will not taste well dry and will not cook well . the store hot dog is more juicy. Juicy is how sheez kabob. i got the mango lassi it not that good either like the cheapest frozen mango they can get it a bit sour and tangy. Double the price of McDonald but not better. Will never go back and will only talk good of this place. they fill up my cup after the bill. All wrong

I almost tried all the Indian restaurants in Fresno till now and I think it is the best place so far in Fresno for authentic Indian cuisines. The owner (the turban guy) is really friendly and they always make food depending on our choices as I really like my food spicy (but they also make it mild for my friends who cannot eat too spicy). And one thing more, the best thing about the restaurant is that they are even open on Sundays (dont know why it says here that they are not), as I usually like to eat mostly on Saturdays and Sundays as well. So, if you are looking for one of the best Indian restaurants to dine on Sundays too, you are at the right place.

@Ammar, I dont know what bad food you had in Tandoori night but i am totally not with you. I have had food in all of the Indian and Pakistani restaurants in Fresno and Tandoori night is by far the best. They recently opened a new restaurant on Shaw and Marks too. I never had a less than perfect food at this place and the owner is a very friendly person. if you are in Fresno and looking for an Indian food, I would recommend this place anyday... Cheers

We are from Santa Barbara and we were fortunate to find this fantastic "FIVE STAR" restaurant on our way though Fresno, 10/04/08. Indian food is a delicacy that we are not unfamiliar with and this is the place that you would want to experience. Very nice interior, extensive menu, and of course great food. We met the chief, a gracious, and most generous gentleman. We look forward to this experience again. Robert & Yolanda

Went there yesterday (Sunday) afternoon with a serious craving for Indian food and this was terrific - the food was soooo good and freshly made and satisfying. The owner was super friendly and asked us for our preferences and explained the different styles to us then brought us our order based on that. Then he brought us a complimentary dessert. I will definately be back and soon! My mouth is watering just thinking about it again!

This place exceeded my expectations for food and the customer service was the best Ive ever had at any restaurant. The owners are the most authentic and honest people, they personally come and greet you and treat you like youre family. I eat indian food often at home so I can say with authority this is the best and most authentic Indian food you will find. 10/10 food 10/10 Service 10/10 cleaniness

Superior service paired with delectable food. Prices more than reasonable - I made two-and-a-half meals out of their luncheon special! Courteous and accommodating servers, beautiful white linen on the tables, many choices: meat and vegetarian. Having missed the excellent Indian restaurants I knew in London, I can tell you that it is a thrill to find Tandoori Night here in Fresno.

Our favorite Indian food! We have traveled to LA, San Diego, Sacramento, Carson City, Reno, Ogden, UT and Feldkirch, Austria and this is the BEST! Great family-owned gem in Fresno of all places. I want them to move to LA, where I live. I wanted to take a picture but you already know what empty plates look like. Maybe next time we can wait and take that picture. Dont miss it!

Careless people who are not supposed to own any kind of business. Lacks professionalism. Two days straight in row and had to move elsewhere to satisfy our hunger. Place is supposed to close at 2200 hrs but these people feel a sense of accomplishment and pride by closing their doors at 2130 and without any shame. Never going back again. Twice is enough.
