India sweets and spices is not really a restaurant, it is actually an Indian grocery store with a tiny kitchen at the back and a small menu. The few times that I have tried the snacks here such as samosa chana or tikki chana, the food has been just fine, though nothing to write home about. The store as such carries a fairly decent variety of Indian grocery items, but could definitely do with some variety. The owner of the store is a fairly decent guy who asks after me and my family every time, but his wife is another matter altogehter. The service I have received from this lady sucks, for lack of a better word. This lady rather rudely refused to even let me buy a dessert once because the amount came to smaller than $ 5 and she wanted only cash (even though they supposedly accept credit cards). After that incident, I have more or less stopped going to this place, even if I need Indian groceries. I go to the other grocery store now open on the way to 99 south called Shaan E Punjab. This lady kowtows to Americans but does not seem to give a damn about fellow country people.

I was a Customer. Ive been searching for a place with better Customer Service. Because, as good as some of the cake is, Because, their mannerisms, are horrible. All of them except the young guy. Ive never been anywhere with such rudeness in my life. The Customer Service, is hor ri ble. Horrible. And I mean it. Absolutely horrible. So, they have to have good cake. Or else Id never ever go back. I dont know if theyre prejudice (ignorant) or just mean. But, what ever it is, its very unnecessary. So my star is for the flavor of the cake. If the Customer Service was great, or at least good, Id rate them a five. But, I cant! Because, itd be a lie. Have a wonderful night.

They are the most disgusting people to deal with - greedy and totally unscrupulous. Their products are way overpriced compared to their competitors and invariably expired / out of date. In their presence one always feels as if they are being conned. Their whole modus operandi is to oversell, overcharge and fleece the unsuspecting customer as much as they can. I am surprised that they have escaped the clutches of law thus far. A total disgrace to the Indian community here in Fresno !!

I love the food I love the atmosphere I love their jewellery and their henna absolutely love everything about their store, sometimes I go in there just to get spiritual enlightenment is absolutely an amazing experience to go there. theyre friendly kind caring and helpful, amazing flavors of food amazing everything I could never complain about their store I even love the music I find myself dancing with the music as Im shopping.

My partner and i frequent there regularly, my partner loves one of their pastries. Not sure of the name but they are small round pastries that are soaked in a syrup. He just loves them!. We used to go to one in the L.A. area, So Thank you India Sweets and Spices for being here in Fresno too!

Food is not bad at all ....only thing that upset me last time was when they tried to overcharge me for the same item that i had bought before .... and also tax me on some non taxable items... so dont forget ur receipt i would recommend ... cool people but greedy as hell

Really bad service. The staff is very rude and they charge very high compared to other Indian stores here in Fresno. The receipt is not even an actual professional one. The food is good but we have stopped going there because of the the rude owner and staff.

We came in for a late lunch. Food took almost half an hour, and wasnt particularly tasty, and the portions were on the small side. When we ordered dessert to go afterwards, the guy behind the counter got two out of three orders wrong. Avoid this place.

Overpriced Desi grocery products. They did not have prices labelled on the johar joshanda boxes. When I took the box on the counter and I gave him my card to pay. I was charged $6 more for the same product compared to another Indian grocery store.

I purchases an item for 6 dollars but the total came out too be $8. These guys charged me $2 for tax. .thats a quarter on a dollar. .this place is a rip off. Gready owners. Dont go here.
