I have eaten at MANY Indian restaurants (I tend to seek them out wherever I go) and this is among the very best Indian food Ive ever had. Its incredibly flavorful, with subtle spices and fresh ingredients, all prepared by the husband half of the husband/wife owners. They are friendly and welcoming, and obviously proud of their delicious food, and they have every right to be! Try the wonderful samosas for SURE before digging into your main course, and definitely try all the sauces. If you are a fan of spicy okra like me, get the Bindhi Masala. The mango lassi (its a yogurt drink) is delicious too. Ive loved the vindaloo, biryani and tikka masala, and now were looking forward to exploring some of less common dishes. Word of warning: its in an odd location, and theres really not much in the way of ambiance. To us, it absolutely doesnt make a difference, because the food is so amazing! If you love Indian food, eat here for sure!

If I had an option I would give this a restaurant a zero stars. Very poor service. We went to eat dinner at the taste of India. The lady came to take our order. While in the middle of taking our order, her phone rang. She excused herself from the table for a minute. We sat there waiting for her return but she took forever on the phone. She did not appear to be in any rush to finish her conversation as we could see her. 10 mins or so later we just left. Let me offer you a piece of advice, serve your customers that are present in your restaurant first than busy attending your phone. Just some business etiquettes. No wonder this place had one other couple present there. We went to kabab and curry and had great service.

A little hard to find, but the food was amazing. I just happened to notice the sign on my drive to work, so a co-worker and I decided to try it. We both went with the buffet because that is a great way to try out various menu items. We both enjoyed everything they had to offer. We both will be going back! I am excited to have found a good Indian food restaurant in Reno. The staff was very friendly and attentive. While we were there I noticed a customer that had a problem with the item she ordered being too spicy for her, the owner came out and gave her a new dish. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Indian food or has been looking for a good Indian restaurant.

For a place that just opened a few months ago, this place has a good thing going. The dining room is large and you can see the Reno city skyline from just about any table you sit at. Our server seemed proud of the business as well as the chef in the kitchen. The Kheer (rice pudding) was really good--it had macadamia nuts in it and the red chicken was my favorite. There were still some things I didnt like at the buffet as much as other Indian lunch buffets in town like the Tikka Masala and spinach saag... the Masala was sweet with a thin sauce and the saag had a goofy consistency... The buffet price was at $10

Love this place! Im so glad Reno got another Indian restaurant! Staff is friendly & attentive. The chef will frequently come out to ask how customers like their dish. Once the staff gets to know you they will believe you if you tell them you really, really would like it spicy. I do wish theyd start making onion chutney. I recommend the matar paneer and the vegetable samosas. They are just getting off the ground so please go support this wonderful local business!

My wife and I went to Taste of India for the lunch buffet during our recent trip to Reno/Lake Tahoe from Oregon. What a nice place with excellent Indian food! The buffet had almost a dozen different dishes to try and the food tasted amazing. This seems to be a family-owned restaurant and they appear to be very nice and pleasant people. And the place was spotless, including the buffet area. We loved everything and will certainly come back next time were in this area.

India food with flavor! I am so happy with this place. We tried it for dinner and were super surprised with how tasty and savory all our dishes were. The masala was well seasoned and the sagg and veggie korma were delectable. The service was great and the prices were what you would see at any other India restaurant. I will be going back to try the lunch buffet in the next couple of days! Im adding this one to my list of go to places.

Delicious and authentic Indian food! Its right next to the closed down bowling alley off of Keystone and stardust. Easy to find and truly yummy! We did not do the buffet, we ordered from their menu and it was plenty of food. We had the mango chicken and shrimp Masala, garlic naan and vegetable samosas to start with. Plenty of leftovers for one adult and two twelve-year-old boys. Delicious food, well definitely be back!

Didnt try the buffet, but dinner was fantastic. Best Indian restaurant in Reno, in my opinion. Seems like theyre still trying to get the restaurant together though, but the place is clean, staff are super nice, and the food is totally on point, which are just about the only three things I care about in a restaurant. Give this place a shot for dinner sometime and you wont be disappointed.

Fake reviews! They call it a Buffet... they then count the number of plates you use. They want you to take the same plate that you are eating in for a refill. They even charge full price for 3 year old kids. On top of that they are rude when they talk. Taste of the food was okay.. not that great (That is the only reason I give them 2 stars not 1). Never going there again!

We love this place! Staff is very friendly, food is consistently good, love the navratan korma especially. They will actually make it very spicy once they believe you. They have very little business presently so I highly encourage you to go so they dont close. Buffet is lunch only currently and they are closed Tuesdays. I believe they even have free delivery.

Average Indian restaurant, naan was really good, buffet costs 10 bucks per person on weekends, fruit salad in buffet consists of watermelon and cantaloupe. Chole bathura poori is pretty thick, curry is served hot. Service was amazing, really nice to customers, even lets you go just for restroom. The restaurant was not crowded when we went.

This is the best Indian food in Northern Nevada. I love Indian food and have been disappointed in the offerings in Midtown. Who knew that wonderful food would move in just down the road from us. Service is good, the food is flavorful and cooked to your level of spiciness. All served in a clean and friendly atmosphere. Best in Reno.
