As an American going into a truly authentic Chinese restaurant, I might be biased with my peculiar tastes. I only ordered 4 items and can say I really enjoyed 1 of them. The eggplant was possibly overcooked but definitely had terrible seasoning. The "satay sauce" could hardly be called a sauce; its call it more of a pile of bland seasoning mixed with some water. (My girlfriend from China admits that real Chinese cuisine rarely uses any sauces and her friends have never bothered to order sauce for their skewers.) The beef tendon can certainly be called an authentic Chinese delicacy in that the Chinese love it while the average American would spit it out. The lamb chop in curry sauce was pretty decent though grisly. Id say the service was pretty good, because the server asked us a few times if we were ready and the food was brought out after only a short period. TL;DR: If youre Chinese, Im sure youll love it. If you arent, good luck finding something you enjoy.

I gave them a second chance today, and am disappointed again. Their soup noodles are below average. Materials are good, but the soup taste usually isnt right. I had lamb noodles, lamb was good but soup was bland and very spicy. I eat fairly spicy. But that was the first time I had bland and spicy. And it wasnt good. Today I had beef noodles, or 紅燒牛肉麵, and I got educated again on how bland 紅燒牛肉麵 can be, and how bad it would be if bland. My wife orded 擔擔面, it is tasty, I have to give that. So it is hit and miss. So far I have missed more than I hit. Oh , we ordered two cold dishes, 夫妻肺片 and 涼拌土豆絲, which are both sweet. Again, that was an education to me. Cant say they are bad like the noodles, but NOT authentic. They just had my last visit.

The food is generally good here, especially if you are looking for lots of heat. They have many hot pepper dishes and a variety of cold plates. Service was an issue last time I went and sometimes the dishes are over salted but always full of flavor. Be warned they use a lot of oil. Ive tried over two dozen items from the menu and havent come across one I havent liked yet.

Very decent place to eat both lunch and dinner, a lot of choices, different degree of spice, non spicy and vegetarian food are available too. Been there so many times with friends and business partners, it never lets me down. You need to try one of a kind skewers in hot pot, it is delicious and this is the only place you could get in bay area.

I like this place a lot. If you are a big fan of Chinese bbq and hot pot, you cant miss this place! It opens until ~2am -- great for late night food-hunting!

Alright Chinese food. The waitress sounded angry when she talks, but shes actually friendly. Must be the Cantonese accent.
