This place looks so regal. I was really surprised by the decor and atmosphere. It was really clean and modern, definitely way nicer than any other korean establishment Ive ever visited. I came here with a group of friends for lunch and it was pretty crowded. But we got a seat without waiting since we came around 1:15 pm on Saturday. They sat us down in a booth that really roomy. The restaurant consists of booths and private rooms for larger parties. Their service was great and they were fast with everything. Their banchan was really lacking for me though :( I thought their dishes were okay at best. I didnt really like their kimchi, their chapjae was kind of bland, and their best dish was probably this apple salad thing. It wasnt that great. Their food was good though! I got their dolsot Bibimbap. The portion was good and it tasted delicious! Their red sauce isnt that spicy but it still tasted great. Their combination tofu and seafood tofu soup was pretty good too. Overall I thought their food was good for price, portion, and taste. I will definitely come back to try other stuff (: They give you a yogurt drink with your bill which I thought was super cool!

This place is super hyped with a price point to match. Not sure it lived up. Banchan was ok, not much variety, and just decent. The marinated kalbi was tasty if overly sweet. In general the theme was a bit too sweet. Japchae no exception. veggie bibimap was nice and refreshing. Cold noodle were good. Pork belly was proper. However the seafood pajun was weak, no salt in it, and we had to ask for sauce. The service was weak in general, we ended up helping ourselves to napkins and asking them to leave a water pitcher at the table. I think they were a bit too busy. Decent, but wouldnt go out of my way again, for what it cost..

In A Nutshell: *Its not my moms Korean cooking, but Jang Su Jang has been an exceptional substitute :) *Been coming here for the past couple years and the food and service has been TOP-NOTCH. *The prices are a tad bit high and you cant escape high-prices for Korean food anywhere in the Bay Area. The only respite you have is to venture to Seoul and eat there (which is DIRT CHEAP). Overall, great location (parking can be tad bit challenging), awesome service and tasty food. Ill be back again and again and again.

I really love both Milpitas and Santa Clara in a different way. Better in Milpitas: Usually has a shorter wait time and also convenient with many stores in a growing shopping square. Disadvantage in Milpitas: Sometimes side dishes are not that good as Santa Clara. Better in Santa Clara: Workers a little better than Milpitas and has been running more longer with more side dish. Disadvantage in Santa Clara: Very long wait with the shopping square going to be shutdown soon.

The words "youre welcome" do not exist here. We always try to be polite and say "thank you" to our waiter or waitess. Out of the 4 people that helped us, none ever said youre welcome. We said thank you more than 20 times. At least one person said "uh, huh." The entire staff that helped us walked away while you are still talking to them. If you want dry Korean food with rude service, that costs more than other Korean restaurants, this is the place to go.

One of the better decorated Korean place in south bay. Their first store is on El Camino next to Korean supermarket and it was a success. Always crowded with customer waiting during lunch hours so I guess thats why they uptrend a Milpitas location with bigger space and more seating. This place is really good for group and business lunch since they have many 4 people seats as well as group tables. Service is great and serving time is good.

This is your usual fancy Korean BBQ place. This location is usually not as crowded as the one in Santa Clara and is much easier to get reservations without notice. We usually come here as a group of 8 or more to celebrate birthdays and other occasions. Unlike the other location, this one has ddeokbokki, a korean rice cake dish. We love it and get it every time. Expect to spend at least around $40 per person if you are ordering BBQ.

This was a great place for Korean food ...in the past. I have been going there since many years and this is deteriorating over time. The food is ok but becoming more expensive and the service less and less friendly. They use to give us after the meal a free small tasty yogurt but they decided to stop it. Kinda lame when you see the prices ramping up...

Everything is good but a fact that a priest of a church was coming out of the place with the bible which they twisted. It was right before its official opening. The pastor mustve materially blessed it. Though I dont think the blessing works, what Im sure is that such a restaurant "sells" to nearby community. It must not "serve".

Pretty nice restaurant if u want to share a lunch or a dinner with your friends and family. The small version next door is called express could get you way out with the fast order and bento box. Nice environment and clean place. easy to find and the parking isnt too bad most of the time.

This place has the best galbi jjim and seafood pancake (good amount of seafood)! Most dishes are similar to those of other Korean restaurants, but the price is higher (a few $$ extra) for slightly better quality of food, clean and spacious interior, and decent service.

Its always a pleasure to go to Jang Su Jang. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is that sometimes, at some tables, the fans dont work properly and one of the guests finds himself breathing and eating smoke. Its not common but when it happens is very uncomfortable.

Always a good experience coming here for kbbq. The service and quality of meat is spot on. Do expect to pay a bit more than usual here though. Youre paying for quality here. Do keep in mind the parking lot is quite packed as they share with other restaurants here

Been here a number of times. For Milpitas, its pretty good. Definitely dinner is better for the grill experience at the table in my opinion, quality of the meat at the table is pretty good, atmosphere and service is better than most Korean BBQ places.

I would have given this restaurant 0 star if I could. This restaurant serves beef in 90% of their dishes. The BBQ dishes have all beef and one pork belly. Really bad for those who do jot eat beef. Not much chicken either. Quality of food is also bad.

I usually go to their sister location on El Camino Real, and my family is a big fan of Jang Su Jang. So to our surprise that food at this location actually tasted better. We loved their BBQ, Seafood Pancake and Steamed King dumplings.

Ive been here twice. The food was so so and very expensive. The unmarinated beef was overcooked, and the seafood pancake tasted doughy without flavor at all.. Its not worth the wait. Dont come here to waste your $$.
