Food here has really gone downhill. I ordered a "country breakfast" with potatoes, sausage and biscuits gravy. My plate had several things wrong with it. Most notably the home fries, which you pay extra for, tasted like they came out of a bag and were also deep fried. My biscuits were stale even under the gravy, and the gravy was out of a can. Utterly disappointed considering they want nearly ten bucks for the dish. To top it off, when I went to pay at the register, they had the front and back doors open, with a breeze rolling through from the kitchen out into the dining room, this awful smelling odor came through of like old food and degreasing agent. This used to be a good spot for breakfast, despite the tiny dining room, it was worth the wait. It seems as though theyve lost their love for the food they produce. Will not come back.

I was really looking forward to eating here. Not looking forward to going back. The tea was as luke-warm as you can get, the omelet (which I may have had too much of an expectation on since that is supposed to be the specialty) was almost paper thin with as little cheese as they could possibly put in it and monstrous chunks of bacon that were hard to chew or just down right fat, hash browns were crisp outside but total mush inside, loved the toast though. The decor is "meh" at best. The service was almost non-existant. I saw the waitress at ordering and food delivery but never after, I even had to ask the bus for the check.

Was greeted quickly, however, they seemed less than interested. Gave me a quick expressionless "have a seat where ever." I received my menu promptly. I ordered the country breakfast (biscuits and gravy with hash browns and no eggs). I do not recommend as it just tasted like salt. I wasnt asked a single time how my food was or if I needed more water. I had pushed my plate to the far corner of the table to indicate I was done. It took several minutes until finally a bus boy clearing another table noticed and asked if he could take it. I then sat for another five minutes with an empty table until someone finally brought my check.

Huge portions that were stuffed to the brim with meat. Low prices. Great quality/selection, and highly-attentive staff. Seems utterly absurd that a Dennys can stay in business in the same town. On the downside, I must add that there was a fairly strong odor of raw onion in the establishment, which caused our eyes to water (And we were furthest from the kitchen, next to the door!). That wasnt great, but the place is small enough that they probably dont have a lot of choice in the matter. If you wanna eat some onions, you might have to smell some onions! Thats fair.

My crab omelette had mostly mushrooms and very little crab for $19.00 . Disappointed as seafood is the reason I traveled here. Donst mind paying the price if i get what is advertised. Husband said his meal was mediocre: eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links. Nothing to shout about. He got a side of biscuits and gravy and it tasted like paste, no flavor he said. I tasted it and had to agree. Didnt order coffee or juice, just waters, and our so-so breakfast cost $32. Could have had the same quality food in a casino. Sorry, but we wont be back.

Great place for breakfast! Good prices as well as friendly waitstaff. We went around 11 am on a Monday. Not too busy but the dining area is tiny so Id avoid at peak dining times. We had Corned beef hash, Texas style French toast and split a side (1/2!)of Cantaloupe. Hubby said the Corned beef hash with hash Browns was great. The Texas style French toast was perfect and the Cantaloupe was actually ripe. They also had boysenberry and one other berry flavored syrup for those who dont like maple. Overall, recommended!

This is the kind of place you can only hope to stumble upon while on a road trip. I am floored that this place only has a 3.7 average star rating. The ONLY thing that one could muster up as a con is that the dining room is very small and I could see the possibility of a wait (I didnt) because it seemed full of locals (good sign) these one star reviews are from the kind of people that wouldnt give a good review if their meal was free and included a new car lol

The Chalet House of Omelettes in Cutten should be the new go to place for good food with exceptional service. The food is as good as the The Chalet on 5th St. and the service is better to none. Other businesss in Humboldt County should take a lesson from this business when in comes to customer service. I know that it was a labor of love to open the Cutten restaurant and Im so happy that our community has welcomed them to the neighborhood.

The place is overcrowded, uncomfortably close sitting with others elbow to elbow, and the carpet has fleas. The cutten location is nice but there seems to always be children out of control there like at a chuck e cheese and both times I was there my meal and experience were ruined by lack of communication from staff to parents with children out of control, its hard to sit and eat comfortably when you cant even hear your own thoughts.

Thank you Thank you Thank you - traveled north to see my husband knowing that we would be alone on Thanksgiving and no family friends or home here - he is on temporary assignment - YOU were open on Thanksgiving pouring coffee serving tea and the best buckwheat pancakes and eggs benedict ever. It was delicious and I just thank you. Hearty hugs - we will be back.............

Portions are huge and tasty and its not expensive. A but overcrowded and it might take a bit to get their attention. Everyone seems to know each other. They might have new servers as two waitresses seemed a bit confused and one of them even curse in front of the customers when she spilled something. Crowd is not that diverse. Overall it was a great breakfast.

Best biscuits and gravy Ive ever had and their sausages are amazing! All their food Ive enjoyed. Its a special treat for us to go there. Also, there is usually a small wait line to get in, but weve never had to wait more than 15 minutes. And they always bring the food faster than you would expect at a restaurant.

While they serve good breakfast dishes they dont offer good service, upon arrival they failed to acknowledge us promptly then they brought drinks and left the menus at our table and didnt come back till 15min later after they served every other table. Also I was bit by fleas while I was there.

I absolutely love this place. We eat here atleast once a month. I would eat it everyday if I lived in eureka. The quality of food is amazing, and the price is perfect. And your food comes out fast. The staff is always so nice. I have never had a bad experience here.

Disappointing. Smooshy fake sausage was the worst. Way to much cheese on omlette (never thought id say that, i love cheese). Cant they splurge and cooking REAL sausage? Little things make all the difference, especially with the lack of restaurants on the n. coast.

One of the nicest and most relaxed breakfast places in Eureka. Amazing omelets and a nice variety of foods to select from. Their lunches are just as good as their breakfasts, but this is by far the best breakfast place in Eureka. I go here a few times a month.
