Blue Ribbon Pizzeria has a number of the most unique, delicious pizzas Ive ever tasted. They are bold and unconventional with their toppings, and they work out wonderfully! When you go, dont expect to find pizzas that you recognize. With abstract names like "Signature", "Craftsman", "Truffle Shuffle", and "Stinking Rose", the menu is going pressure you to try something new. You may not even recognize some of the ingredients, but thats OK! Tell your waiter what youre looking for, hop on their recommendation, and give it a shot. You cant really go wrong with their concoctions. Expect their 11.5" pizza to have fresh, flavorful toppings atop a delicious thin crust. Theres a solid mix of tastes. In particular, I recommend their meaty pizza called "Artisan", and their zesty lemon pie called "Signature". Aside from the food, I also like the decor and the environment. The dark wood panels and light green wall contrast with the bright beach town outside. Its as if youve stepped into a pizza cave where they serve secret pizza treats.

Awesome pizza, idiot bus/pizza boy. Pizza was great, waiter was great, d-bag that was bringing out pizzas was a disaster...complaining about how hot the pizzas were to the table behind us, our pizzas come and he tells me how hot the metal plate is and then sets it right in front of my 2 year old. On our way out with two little kids hes behind me grumbling about me being in the way...buy some oven mitts and a better attitude or find another job jack $&@.

Blue Ribbon is helmed by Chef Wade Hageman, who before opening Blue Ribbon in 2010 was the Executive Chef at the much loved and missed Blanca in Solana Beach. I dropped by for lunch and had one of their seasonal pizza, it was great. Blue Ribbons Harvest Moon Pizza - EVO, Butternut and Red Kuri Squash, Mozzarella, Goat Cheese, Fig Balsamic, and Arugula. A sweeter taste profile is countered with the slightbitterness of the Arugula.

OMG! Who would have thunk this place would have delicious pizza and they do! I had to check yelp to make sure they have 4 or more stars. Great it does. Ordered the Epic pizza.I love the crispy crust. Also they have amazing burrata. I should have ordered the butterscotch pudding first, but I didnt because I was full and didnt even get to try it. So that means I need to come back and eat more pizza and this time order the puddin

The pizza made here is so far above regular pizza, it almost isnt fair to try and compare it to other pizzerias nearby. The handmade dough and mozzarella is amazing and my favorite is "My Fathers", but its hard to make a bad choice. Select one of the great local micro brews they offer and youve got an amazing meal. Put this one on your list if you havent already been here.

Amazing pizza totally ruined by a hair in my food and a waitress that told me "our Chef doesnt have any hair so it must have been yours". Luckily the manager shooed her away and apologized but they get zero for hygiene and zero for common sense customer service. Such a shame as my pizza tasted great until I saw the hair and wanted to throw it back up again!

Loved the outdoor seating as it was beautiful weather and they even had heat lamps on. Park in the lumberyard parking center. They have lunch specials but we ordered off the regular menu. Brussels sprouts, beet salad and a pizza to share. We definitely had leftovers! Friendly service, full bar and great food. Need to come back for happy hour.

Blue Ribbon has some of the best pizza I have ever had, but a price that is very fair. This is especially true during happy hour. They also have truly unique recipes, I recommend the staffs favorite (I think thats what its called) style pizza if you are into it. Their drink menu is nice, as are their appetizers!

The sausage that was cooked in the decadent dark beer and spread on the pie was the best tasting artisan pizza that I have ever tasted. Sat at the bar. Friendly staff. Cramped quarters. If you aint there early, you gonna wait for a seat. PBR in a 24 ounce cold can was the perfect addition to the pizza gluttony.

Incredible apps and pizza. Not the biggest fan of their normal selection of beer, but their wine more than makes up for it. Service is usually pretty solid. Expect to wait a bit for a table, if you like eating during the rush period 6-8ish. Worth the wait.

Oh yeah, artisanal pizzas and cold draft beer on an afternoon alongside PCH. It doesnt get much better to the San Diego experience. Can get quite busy and crowded on weekend evenings so be there early to claim a seat.

If eating inside - a little too cramped and noisy, unless you like that sort of thing. Patio seems more appropriate for normal-sized adults. Food was great - salads, pizza, and dessert were all worth coming back for.

Really good pizza and salads, good craft draft list and wines by the glass. Small place so you likely have to wait a bit, but its worth it. They make their own fennel sausage for the pies, yum yum.
