We are from the East Coast and have eaten at a number of pizza places in San Diego... we had given up and decided that when our friend wanted to go out to "PIZZA" we would just go with the thought that it was something other than pizza to make it okay... NO MORE! We (and our friend) went to DMP and we are all hooked. We had authentic New York Style Pizza and they even managed to make a California Style Pizza that satisfied a vegan friend of ours. Blackout-schmackout! 9/8/11 the power was out in all of Souther California but Del Mar Pizza was cooking with gas and continued serving food while they had daylight. We sat on their patio with a view of the ocean and a warm breeze and had a delicious pizza, salad and cold drinks --- the service was the BEST and the sunset was gorgeous. The moon was all the light we had (other than candles) for the rest of the evening --- we had no complaints and no worries.

After being hung up on twice about trying to order over the phone I walk in and it took the guy far too long to look up from his phone to notice I wanted to place an order. (Same situation for the girl in line behind me) I order 2 slices of pizza and all the employees in the back stood around eating pizza for a good 5 minutes. Gross and annoying. Dont forget your at work!! Especially when customers can see you lazing around.

Our teen girls agreed it was the best pizza theyd had. Definitely one of the best for us. Perfect flavorful crust. The Caesar salad was very vinegary... Fine for most of us, but one teen really disliked it. Great service, pizza came out hot and very quickly. Well be back!

Not the best pizza Ive ever had, but its still pretty good. The reason for the 5 stars is because you can get a slice of pizza, a beer, sit on the deck outside with a view of the ocean, and then finish off the meal with an ice-cream cone (I recommend the swirl).

Love this pizza place in Del Mar. Nice people, and great outdoor seating. Pizza is very good with a good selection on wine and beer. I like to take my slice of pizza to the park and overlook the ocean and trains!

Killer stuff...best Ive had on the West Coast bar none. Ive spent ALOT of time in NY and this stuff is like pizza crack...phenominal! Ordered the crust crispy, which it was. Highly, highly recommend.

Price per pizza is quite high but then again one pizza easily feeds two adults. During high times you may have to wait for up to 40 minutes but it is worth to do so (while enjoying a local beer).

Horrible service. They are rude and seem entitled. When we discussed an issue with an online order, manager was dismissive. As a Del Mar resident, I will never order off them again.
