The food itself is ok, not bad, but not good either. They have an area where you can fill a bowl with all your favorite stir fry ingredients and they will grill it for you. Last time we were here, the bussers did not take any of our plates away. Multiple times throughout the meal, I had to collect all the plates on the table for the four of us, and took them to an overflowing bus tub that was left on a cart in the middle of the restaurant. They are also supposed to bring drinks since this is the only thing you do not serve yourself, but after multiple times of trying to get someones attention, I finally went behind the counter where they get drinks, filled up cups for my table, grabbed a tray, and proceeded to serve my family since it was obvious that no one who worked there was going to do it. While eating, we realized we were sitting under an air conditioning vent that was leaking water directly onto our table. When we looked up to see where the water was coming from, we saw that the vent was covered in what appeared to be black mold. I just hope that anyone who eats here has a good immune system.

Just dont let your expectations get out of control, and youll have a fast, filling, decent meal here. Many of the dishes are mislabeled and the service is a bit iffy. While nobody was rude or slow to help if asked, nobody once stopped by my table to ask if I needed a refill or anything else either. The food is fairly typical Americanized Chinese, much of it battered and fried (General Tsao, Sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, etc) , but its hot and frequently refilled. The sushi was the typical rolls, most containing Krab, but were freshly made and tasty enough. For $9.99, just dont expect fine dining, and youll be happy with your experience.

The food here is delicious. The hot and sour soup could be a tiny bit more sour, but i was pleasantly surprised at how good it was overall. Sushi tastes good. Lots of choices for food, good selection. Im here on a sunday afternoon at 330ish. Its a madhouse. LOTS AND LOTS OF families with kids screaming and running around. The floor is a reflection of that. If you are looking for a clean quiet serene place-this is NOT it on a sunday. It may be completely different during the week. Service is non existant. The price is agreeable. Easy to get to. Noise and chaos is a dining factor for me, so i may not be back.

The food is really good. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant is bad. I know its hard keeping up with all the tables with only 2 waitresses, but they literally walk by your table knowing that it has plates stacked on top of each other. My family loves eating here and we come back just because of the food, but the service really sucks. The floor has food everywhere and they walk by tables empty handed. I might be wrong, they might have something else theyre doing. Eventually, they refill your drink and clear up the dishes. You either have to ask or they do it 5 minutes after you leave.

Let me say this review is more on the service. Was my first time patronizing the El Cajon location, will never do it again. La Mesa has the whole package service and good food. I dont know what the deal was but no one cleared our dirty dishes. We had to go up to the front to ask for the check. WENT back to the table to wait for the waitress. After about 10 min. of waiting decided to just go to the cashier after 30 min. Of just BSing around to pay. Notnto mention the hr and a half of dining. Bad thing about that no fortune cookie. LoL

Amazing prices for a very full buffet. Salad, appetizers, entrees galore, soups, crablegs, sushi, Mongolian grill, desserts, and soft serve ice cream..... wow a great selection. Overall the food was very flavorful, fresh, and savory. The service was Okay, but their dining area cleanliness wasnt nice. We may have tried them during a big dinner rush which might explain the mess but I think they could have done better to keep up. Ill definitely be coming back because my stomach is full and very satisfied ;)

This place is disgusting!! I went in and came right back out. I give it no stars if I had to. They use fettuccine noodle instead of the chow main noodle like a other places.the tables arent clean, bathrooms nasty, food horrible, customer service horrible also. I really hope food inspection comes by and changes their health letter. The only place in el cajon for good Chinese is China garden in the shopping center of the 99 cent store by greenfield street across from chase bank....

Hardly anyone speaks english, had no idea what cocktail sauce was.... how else do you eat fried shrimp? The baby octopus were gross, but all in all the food was good, alot of it had no spices at all. 14 dollars a plate, you should only go there if you are very hungry. I only had 2 plates, and the plates are tiny. I did not get my moneys worth. But everyone else ate like they were starving. I saw one short dude put away 6 plates heaping full. Id go back but just if i was starving.

Not bad. We normally go to the one in La Mesa being closer to us and all, but this past Sunday, there was a line to get in all the way outside the restaurant, so we decided to try the one in El Cajon. The food is the same, but more of it and not as crowded. If it were not because of the distance, we would probably make the El Cajon restaurant our default go-to for Chinese food, but it is good to know we have alternatives.

The food is alright. The service is just terrible. I ordered my drink and it took 10 minutes after I started eating for them to bring it. More often than not, the staff is literally sitting around doing nothing. They dont pay attention when you need a refill, sometimes they walk up take your empty plate but wont refill your empty cup unless you audibly tell them. The only good thing is that its cheap and convenient

Nasty! Weird service. There was a fly flopping around to its death in the tray of cream cheese wontons. They looked at me strange and never offered new food when I told service desk. Never going back again,to worried about how neglected they could be in preparing and serving customers. 3 people 3 drinks 47 odd dollars. However I wasnt charged for the fly:) eat and over pay at your own risk. Wouldnt recommend
