This place seems to change its name and owner quite often (east buffet to acme buffet to east buffet and now seaside buffet). But I can gladly say that since changing to seaside buffet Ive seen a huge improvement in not only the decor but the food as well. I have a huge family who loves their buffets so Ive been here a decent number of times. They have large seating areas for huge parties like mines (20 people ish and more) and smaller seating areas as well. There is a huge variety of food and even have food that is prepared right before you. Such as the stir fry or Peking duck (by far my favorite item here). They even have all you can eat seafood such as raw oysters and crab legs. There is a large variety of desert sweet items but personally I dont find any of it very good. Seafood good. Deserts bad. The sushi is not bad and there are lots of great hot foods (fried chicken wings, fries, beef etc)

Seating and table service was better than normal at a typical Chinese buffett, however, all the food we tried there had a high content of sugar. You would feel like you are eating at a sweet shop. Even the egg drop soup had lots of sweet taste to it, the noodles, the chiken the beef, and so on. But above all, when a tray on the buffett was quickly emptied by the high volume of guests, no one from the kitchen crew cared to replace it with a full tray leaving people going back and forth checking on the empty trays to see if they were replaced with full ones. We definitely wont be going there again.

Food is good, theres a large variety of it and it a grade above most of the other buffets i have gone to in San Diego, but the staff just seems unfriendly and unwilling to cooperate. But it might just be the language barrier.. i dont know. My sister was served water in a dirty cup, when we brought it to the waitresses attention she looked at the glass said "oh, ok" and walked off, a minute or two later another waiter showed up with fresh glass of water, and that was that. No apology no acknowledgment of a mistake on their part, bad maners

This is our go to buffet when my friends and I are lazy but still want an AYCE. They have decent hot food and sushi, but most come here for the hot/cold snow crab legs and oysters, and the crawfish. I usually grab a couple Sea Whelks and crawfish every time . Service is meh, but youre getting seafood for under $25 . Also, I know they only have Pepsi, but some of the servers tell me they have Coke, super confusing . EDIT 3/20/17 Its been a couple months and the quality been dropping. Would recommend another place now.

Was denied entry because I have a service dog. He is ADI certified, well behave and well groomed. I tried to reason and explain to the front desk waiter that he is a trained service animal and what medical service he provides for me. She then point at the sign "We have the right to refuse service". Your located right in front of Miramar Air Base and in a military town, at least educate your staff on these things.

We have gone to the buffet a few times and always wanted to come back but today it was different some of your meats were very dried and tuff the noodles were not the same and the sausage was way off the sauce was definitely not the same which was a surprise cause before it was GREAT FOOD! Maybe you changed the chef... hopefully this will help, we really liked the food before.

Average Asian Buffet in San Diego. Good variety of food, plenty of seafood, ie crab legs, oysters, sushi/sashimi, etc. They have a cook station for noodles, steaks, and everything else you can think of. Not bad, but not super good. You cant expect too much from here, but you do get the bang for your buck here. Oysters are unlimited!

BBQ cook coughed up something nasty and spit it in the sink behind the grill. Then he turned around and coughed down his shirt. Needless to say, I didn,t eat what he had grilled for me.. When I told the manager, she just talked to him. He was still there grilling. #HealthDepartment are you watching this? DONT EAT HERE!

A wide selection of chinese and japanese food choices. Hot snow crab legs were plentiful. The steamed flounder or fish was very good with a light soy sauce green onion and ginger garnish. The coconut shrimp and kung pow chicken were excellent. Really enjoyed the wonton soup.

Good food and service but the cook at the grill dont seem to be friendly if you dont give tips he rather have the orders piles up before start cooking the orders and having the people waiting. And he always push the jar for tip in front of the customer insenuating for tips.

Looking for a good Chinese buffet while visiting San Diego? This is the place. Good selection and very good food. Had things on the buffet that even the higher up buffet places back home dont have. Will be coming back when visiting San Diego again

Rarely you have any buffet opens earlier than 11am. East buffet was able to complement my need. good selections including crab, dim sum and many kinds of meat. I am a vegetarian so I enjoyed the eggplant, button mushroom and greens a lot.

There is a good variety of food, but the spaces are small and cramped. Some employees looks like they dont even understand English, and refuses to communicate when talked to. Definitely has potential for improvement.
