Solid poke & decent Japanese food, in an open-seating style setting so students can eat and study at the same time. Sharing a space with a more American/European style deli, Banzai serves poke bowls, sushi, bento boxes/rice dishes, and ramen. The poke is the highlight here: I had an ahi tuna bowl and it was a good sized portion. Although simple in ingredients, the fish was pretty fresh and the rice was well cooked and a good complement. The regular bowl isnt very large but is satisfying enough. The other dishes Ive tried were average. I tried a curry chicken bowl, which had nice presentation of white rice and japanese curry with chicken, carrots, and potatoes. There wasnt very much flavor at all and it just seemed like all the ingredients were boiled and tossed in a bowl. The handrolls are about half the size of a rice bowl and not worth the price. The black garlic ramen was simple but also lacking flavor in the broth and meat - the food could overall use a lot more seasoning. This is a good place to get poke/a quick meal while studying, just dont expect stellar Japanese flavors.

Expensive for amount and quality of food and no service. Place order at register, get own water, utensils napkins, and clear your own if want to talk awhile not over dirty plates. Loud environment. One stall bathroom with no paper towels. Ordered Poke Bowl and fish that did not taste fresh.

1. Asked for food for here. 2. The waiter brings the food as to go. 3. The food was placed from the box to plastic bowl. 4. After we asked to change the bowl to a normal one, waiter said they are out of bowls. 5. The rice was raw.

Bitter food. I had the Bento Box with Salmon Teriyaki and the vegetable gyoza. The teriyaki sauce was super bitter. The sauce for the gyoza also tasted weird. The only thing that was good was the cabbage salad. I will not return.

All around bad experience. The overpriced ramen was cold and tasted awful. The chef gave serious attitude to the server in front of me which she felt the need to apologize to me for. Definitely not worth it, ruined my ramen craving.
