Ive been writing reviews for some time for several on line businesses, the last article was "In Search Of The Perfect Cheese Enchilada". Sadly, I was down to two restaurants and one Frozen Entrée. Yeah, you read that right, a frozen entrée beat out several restaurants in Vacaville and Fairfield, Ca.. One restaurant on Monte Vista in Vacaville was so bad, it was a corn tortilla with Jalisco melted in it from the microwave and served luke warm. My first review in Dixon would be Mexican Food in general. The first place was very difficult to park in, and I found a sign on the door, "Sorry-Cash Only". Things started bad for Dixon. My second choice was Alhelis, who totally redeemed the quest! I decided to try a reviewer on Googles choice, a Chile Verde Burrito. I threw in a half order of Nachos with the works and a Banana-Strawberry Smoothie. I started on the half order (small) Nachos, and man are they good! Wow! Ive eaten in San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles, San Fran. and Napa, and these were the best nachos ever, with pulled pork, shredded cheese, jalapeno, sauces of different heat and variety. I was filled before I got to my burrito. The burrito reminded me of the Green Burritos "Big Ed" they used to sell in Huntington Beach ca., a monster, filled with incredible flavor and goodness. I saved my burrito for that evening and nuked it for 2 1/2 minutes, and it was incredible! Im sure I just touched the tip of the ice berg, so Im going back as a regular now. I used my credit card as normally -usual, and sat inside with A/C and the History Channel. You cant afford to pass this place up!

We came to check out this place on the way back from a Reggae festival in Angels Camp because it wasnt a chain fast-food joint and it was next to a gas station (how convenient, I know). What a revelation!!!! Super cool folks working there and the food was delicious beyond what I could have imagined based--erroneously, clearly--on my impressions of its location. The pastrami burger was super on hit, and they use real-deal homemade tortillas in their yummy Mexican food (we had three tacos; the carnitas and chile verde were quite exceptional). Nice, hand-written menu with varied options, including coffee/espresso drinks, Hawaiian shave ice, and salads. Nutritious and delicious :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT

I never fail to enjoy the food here (the Hot Pastrami Sandwich and Carnitas Burrito being my favorite entrées; the fries are amazing too!) but what will keep me coming back time and time again is the customer service. The crew at Alhelis are incredibly kind, joyful, and caring. As a local, and thus a regular, this is one of my favorite places to eat in the area and I love it when the staff at a restaurant see you on a regular basis and put in the time to know your name and care enough to ask about whats going on in life. The food caught my attention, but the staff have my admiration. I would highly recommend this place to any hungry traveler or fello food enthusiast.

Pros: Nice little burger and burrito restaurant. Alhelis offers a small but tasty menu of fresh tasty pastrami sandwiches to chicken fajita burritos and ample size portions. Restaurant is clean and neatly decorated art decco 1950s style motif. Offers a drive-thru as well. Cons: Because it is a small establishment, staffing is limited thus increase "food-order to food-receipt" wait times. Overall 4/5 stars

This place is a gem in the world of burgers. Dont be dissuaded by the outside appearance. The burgers are fairly inexpensive and out of this world in quality. I had the pastrami burger and fries and I couldnt be happier. If you are in Dixon, do yourself a solid.

They make their own tortillas fresh daily, and they are incredible. Best breakfast burrito Ive ever eaten for sure. I have been loking for a good one for a while and Ive found it here.
