Im a skeptical and critical person when it comes to food and restaurants as I was in the business for many years. First impression, friendly staff. No pressure. CLEAN GOOD SMELLING RESTROOMS...And right off the freeway. Family owned. Decor was amazing being told it was all made and created by family. Way to go! Food was awesome. Service time was great. Fresh tasting properly prepared food. Thanks to Leti, Bridgett, and Alex great team customer service and hospitality. It got super busy after we arrived...and speed of service continued strong. Take out orders being picked up with minimal wait. The food was so good I ordered a to go chimichanga for my son. We had ordered super burrito too and a kids meal. We had campechango and shredded chicken for meat. My youngest had carnitas. Everything was very good. Thank you. We will drive the distance to come back. From Family in northern Sacramento area.

We stopped here randomly, and were so glad that we did! The smell when we first walked in was pretty savory, so we had high hopes. The decor and furniture is all made by Marco Salcedo, who is also the awesome cook. Its all made from recycled materials and carved and painted by hand. There was quite a mix of people - hipsters, latinos, and working men. The chips were very fresh, and the salsa was soooo good. Two of my kids and I usually cant eat spicy salsa, but this was milder, very flavorful, and made fresh daily. The food portions are good-sized, fresh, and delicious.I had a sope, which can be dicey. Some people overcook them, which makes them hard to cut. The ones that we had were firm, yet still delicate enough to slice with a fork. The owners are super-friendly, lovely people. I almost wish that we lived closer- this would definitely become our go-to mexican restaurant!

The service, the food, and the price. Our server was friendly and efficient. There were four of us we each ordered something different. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good. The chile relleno was large, fresh, and very tasty. Best I have had from any restaurant. Shredded beef enchalada excellent. Chicken tacos, again, fresh and very good. Chile verde, the same, everything was great. So happy we tried this Mexican restaurant. It will be our to go to from now on.

Great service, the Saucedo family are great people too. The mole and michelada is great. Clean and the art work is beautiful the owner makes all tables and wall art, great talent. I gave it a four because the tortillas are not home made(: Had a birthday party for spouse and they were so accommodating, 25 guest for $300.00 including drinks. They refrigerated cake for me and sliced it too. Awesome experience, atmosphere and service.

Fantastic flavors from the Yucatan Peninsula. Ive missed central/southern Mexican food and now its down the street, around the corner whenever I want it. Fresh vegetarian dishes available too. Beautiful Mexican art inside created by the chef (even the tables). Not your ordinary taco joint but priced that way. A friendly family operation. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, take-out. In the Wal-Mart shopping center Dixon.

Love Love LA Cocina! My hubby is so happy to have found this restaurant, this is the only place we can go and not completely catch on fire after out first bite. The table are so very cute! We will be going here as soon as we run through Dixon again! Update: 9-19-17 Had more awesome food from this fabulous restaurant! Fajitas were on point!!! Any reason to here is a good reason Yes!

Great food and authentic ambiance. Family-run business. The chef is a talented artist whose art adorns the walls. The tables themselves are custom art. The chiles rellanos are excellent. Some of the best food between Davis and the East Bay. Seriously, try this place. Much better than Chevys and easy-off, easy-on the freeway. Not to be missed on a Reno/Tahoe run!

This location used to house a fast food joint -- not any more! Expect to wait an appropriate length of time for your friendly, attentive waitress to bring you your made to order superb Mexican food. She will bring drinks or water while you wait and munch on fresh tortilla chips and delicious fire roasted salsa. Relax for a few minutes and enjoy!

Their carnitas are OFF THE HOOK! Been eating here each year muliple times per wkend per event during the Pin-A-Go-Go convention at Dixon fair grounds. Food is VERY GOOD - love the family who runs the restaurant. Great customer service. Food is fresh. Festive decor. Delicious salsa. Been eating here with my family of all ages for over 7 years.

My wife and I have been living in Dixon for 4+ years now. Unfortunately La Cocinas food isnt as good as it once was. The unique flavor that we loved went away. The only redeeming quality was the personal service and conversation, but that isnt what keeps people coming back. We hate that we have to leave Dixon to get quality Mexican food.

This is a totally DELICIOUS place to eat Mexican food in Dixon. Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful. I totally loved my fajita salad with shrimp. Generous amount of tender and delicious shrimps. My sister and I will return the next time we visit our Moms graveside at the Dixon National Cemetery.

Delicious food! Best salsa I have ever had. It is thick and hearty. I checked the reviews and decided to give this place a try. The waitress was nice, the food came fast and it was superb. Not to mention the bill was under $20 for the both of us. Awesome deal. Keep it up guys.

The food, service, everything was the best. The family art is beautiful on the tables, walls, it was beautiful. (I am a high school artist.) I think its 10 stars! And my sister started to eat the beans! ( she never liked beans) but now she does, only at this place.

Love their food, every time I go here its delicious and perfect! Staff is very friendly, great prices, they even have their liquor license so you can enjoy a corona with your tacos. Great chips and salsa that come with every visit!

Ordered two burritos to go.. it took exactly 33 min to see our order.... slow! Really really slow! I hoped for my burritos to be delicious, but they were not at all that great.. I do not recommend this place at all.

We love there food $1 taco from 3pm to 5pm min - Friday so good amazing food and affordable margaritas. Sometimes there one waitress with a poor attidue but most of them are friendly and kind
