I really love Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Ask anybody and Im sure they will tell you that I back this place up. Solid burgers with as many toppings as you can think of for free and mountain of french fries. Free peanuts while you wait, no frozen meats, and fresh fries. Whats up with the prices? I go to the Carson location one Bacon Cheeseburger $5.49, Huntington on Beach $6.49 and here in Costa Mesa $6.89 for the exact burger. I can save $1.40 for the same thing at a different location, not cool. I also got the large fries so that I could save some for later...nope. I paid $2.00 more for a large and it was about the same as a regular order at the other places. And their large is $1.00 more than the Carson place. I love Five Guys, but if you are in the area here go across the street and grab a In-N-Out.

I put some soda in my water cup and was scolded (yes I should not have) and was embarrassed by the manager Cesar , loudly he came back to our table and loudly yelled at me . I walked out without the food I paid for . It was a disgusting experience . Not sure, but it may have been because we are gay . We were picked on over and over by the person that said his name was Cesar . I even asked him why he was doing that , he was highly aggressive . Everyone in the place had looks of shock on their faces . I will never return to ANY Five Guys ever again.And this will be told over and over again as to warn others. By the way a large fry is over $5. Do the math . Read less

3.49 rating. Delicious, no doubt. But, instead of 3 or 4 times a month I can only come 1 due to the price. Maybe I can have some of the delicious fries alone, then a small burger the next time, etc. But the little fries were around $3.50. I dont go out to eat much so maybe its just me. To think that little fries cost more than a burger at other places. ... And the minimum wage hike has not gone into effect in California yet. It must be the rent for this place. A really delicious meal, just not as often as Id like due to its price. Double burger (no cheese), little fries, reg drink... $15. It encourages the diet or experimenting in my own kitchen.

What a disappointment this was!! I had been told that this burger chain was amazing, so NOT true!!! The environment is not inviting, the place is super cold, the music is way too loud, the service is mediocre and my God was the place DIRTY! I think I have seen public restrooms cleaner than this place. Will I go back to that restaurant? Hmmm chances are very slim. Oh and when I called their 866 phone number, someone answered, asked for my first and last name and then told me I had the wrong number and hung up on me! A bad experience all together.

My favorite burger chain! East Coast to west coast, fabulous! I really appreciated the staff at mcpherson sq. location in dc, but the employees here on harbor in costa mesa have always been friendly. My server today was Jane. As for the food, five guys burgers arent reduced to nothingness, so they are tender and juicy. I biked in the cold rain just for a five guys burger because no other would do!

$8 for a cheeseburger!!!!! In-N-Out double double is like $4 and tastes better. Ok so with that side, burger is really good and so are the fries. Really the cost is what kills this place as it was $17 for 2 burgers and a fry. Also the lack of a kids meal also is why I dont bring my kids as they only eat their burgers plain.

I love how customizable their burgers are. You start with the basics and can add a whole slew of veggies and other toppings. The price is a bit high but the burgers are big and delicious. Be careful with the Cajun fries as they can be a little heavy.

Hated it!! Burger wasnt good at all. I thought it was over-priced. The only thing I liked was the strawberry shake. I went here because Ive hearde that it was good but after experiencing Five Guys im definately not coming again. Its all a hype. SMH

One of my go to burger spots! The burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the toppings cant be beat. And now they have shakes!!! The people that work there are great. I do get the fries occasionally and theyre okay. I come for the burgers!

These guys make good burgers. The fries are a bit different than what you get other places (a bit more moist than the dry-crispy texture of the quintessential McDs fries) but theyre good, and they give you more fries than you can eat.

We usually go every once in a month & food is very delicious. Yesterdays visit wasnt as good as usual. Burgers were sloppy made, and customer service wasnt that friendly. I guess dont go and hour before store closes.

One of the best burger joints around. You can customize your burger with whatever choice of ingredients. I love that they fill up the cup with fries but also throw some more in your bag.
