DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. Service and food are horrible. I found a small hair in my quiche. When I tried to tell the lady behind the counter about it she asked if she could take the quiche to the light where she could see better. When she walked away from the counter she picked the hair out and threw it on the floor and said she couldnt see it. When I asked her why she did that she kept saying that she was inspecting it. Instead of just returning the quiche, she wanted to argue with me in front of her customers. It was an unnecessary spectacle. Even if they didnt believe me, why not just return it and leave it at that? That should tell you a lot about their customer service. The food was not good and the customer service was even worse. Give any other place a try. Somewhere that will appreciate your patronage.

NOTE: some of these reviews are regarding the sister restaurant in Carmel, NOT the small, non-full service bakery at this location. Please bear this in mind when reading the reviews. Im surprised this French bakery has not been reviewed more often as it is so seemingly authentic and such a rare find! Every time we come to the Central Coast, we stop here, and it does not disappoint. The variety and quality of baked goods is impressive. Keep in mind, you should come fairly early or you might not get what you want. Seating is limited but stick around and a spot will surely open up. Enjoy!

Arrived at this establishment at 11am today waited in line for 15 minutes with locals confused by the disorder, there was no clear organization of the line or ordering process. This establishment seemed understaffed today. Customers were pushy and anxious to place their orders. Two employees at registers would both turn their backs to make drinks. Stood at the front of the line at a register for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. Left before placing an order. Pastries looked good, but customer experience needs improvements to say the least.

This is the best French bakery we have been to in the US. It doesnt specialize in Macarons, they have a few, but everything else is really good. Fresh made bread as well. Great for breakfast as they have some pre-made egg sandwiches and a few other items. Came back here 3 times.

Giving them a 3 (as opposed to 4) because they were out of a lot of their stuff. Their signage was also way off - items were labeled incorrectly all over the place. Overall good food. The owner is French & was a baker in France for many years. Hence the food is very authentic.

After all the positive reviews I expected to get a decent croissant. Sadly we were very disappointed. The croissants were dry, and seemed almost day old. Not the buttery flakey pastry I was hoping for. Service was ok. I would not come back here if you want a yummy croissant

This bakery was delicious! We tried about five different items, and our favorites were the chocolate macaroons and the croissants- but everything was delicious! What makes this bakery even better is the friendly and outgoing staff! This is a must-stop through the area!

Their bread and pastries are really well executed. Coffee was not, creams were empty, and there away a new girl on the register all alone with a long line. Couple of tweaks to my experience and they would be rock solid.

If you are looking for an authentic French experience while visiting Carmel, CA, then you are in for a treat... or two. Be sure to check out the chocolate croissants one of those and a double espresso and Im in Paris.

About 10 tables, some for 4, others for 2. Food is great, speed and efficiency dependant on server. We had three dishes, which were presented quickly. I wouldnt being a group larger than four.

As frazzled as the service was, due to the influx of hungry patrons, it was well worth the wait. The quiche selections were wide ranging and all that we tried were yummy and authentic.

A rare find. Owned and operated by two families of French bakers and patissiers. Very authentic. Just like taking a trip to France. Delicious patties and very friendly atmosphere.
