Ive only been to a few sushi places in the seattle area, but have been to other sushi restaurants all over the US, from San Diego, to Jacksonville, FL to Milford, CT, and this place can hang with the best of them. Understand that there are 3 classes of sushi restaurants. There is the hole in the wall, sit on a stool and pick up premade sushi from a boat on a moat. Then there is the middle of the road quaint cozy happy hour restaurant, and then there is the high end, dimly lit martini sake bar, fountains and suits present. This place is perfectly in the middle. Menu is easy to read and understand, and the owner and his family are very helpful and friendly. Community of Renton, support this family run, quality business!

This is a newer, family run business in the Renton Highlands. They have fresh, hand-picked fish daily. I am always impressed by their sushi rolls and they have wonderful stir-frys for the customer that doesnt like sushi. But if you have never had sushi I highly recommend this be the first place you try it. And if you are a sushi connoisseur you will undoubtedly love this place! **Also for those who cannot tolerate gluten, the chef/owner always has a supply of Tamari on hand and they do Gluten-Free stir-fry as well!! The owner and his daughter/waitress know the Gluten-Free ways! Enjoy!

I had a great experience today dining at Sushi Cafe with the owner Jackie. I came in after the lunch crowd so I got one-on-one attention from Jackie and his polite staff. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was and that the space had good energy. I ordered a premium sashimi platter which featured fresh, delicious yellowtail tuna, tako (squid), Pacific salmon, ahi and a delicious, mild East Coast sole. Very good quality fish, outstanding flavor. What a treat, and only minutes from my house! Instant "regular" here!

This is by far, one of the BEST kept secrets in Renton!! The sushi is always extremely fresh and delicious - and such a vast selection of rolls! There are also a variety of other options for those who are not sushi fans (REALLY?!?). The service is AMAZING!! Your drinks never empty and they are constantly checking on you and your meal. This place is such a treat!! One more bonus - they also have outdoor seating - really nice!!

This used to be our favorite sushi place, but lately the amount of time it takes to get our food has become ridiculous. We just ate here this past Sunday, and it took nearly an hour to get our food once we had ordered it. At no time during this extended period did our server let us know that there was a problem. The food is good, but until they hire either faster or more chefs, its not worth the wait.

This is one of the best place to have sushi in east side. Unlike other popular places their price is cheap. They serve good quality food with decent price. I go to this place often and they never disappoint me. They have a good collection of rolls and sashimi bowl is great especially the octopus. There is not much line. This place is always full but never overcrowded.

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since they opened. I frequent there at least once a week. It is a family owned business and they are all involved in the day to day operation. Their miso soup is made fresh daily and they have quite a selection of cuisine. The food is always fresh and the interior decor exemplifies fine dining. Enjoy!!

The staff are fantastic! You feel like family after a few visits making it very comfortable for nervous diners like myself. The sushi is to die for! My favourites are the chirashi bowl, the seared albacore, and the poached squid salad... But ALL of their specialty rolls are amazing as well! Love this place, were there often!

We live in Renton and happily chose sushi cafe over any of the fancy sushi joints we have tried in the greater Seattle area! The service is wonderful and it is family owned and run business. I am so happy to have a wonderful place for take out as well as a nice place to go on date night!

Excellent food, love the MVP, captain crunch and the volcano. I also love their yakisoba noodles, it tastes just like Chinese style Chowmein from the International district. They usually have one to two chefs making the Sushi so if they are busy, expect to wait a while.

Great for local Renton Highland residence. The food and portions were above average. They even had a decent selection of sushimi. I tried the o-toro. Does not compare to being in Japan and getting fresh tuna in for the day though. Will come back and recommend it.

Best sushi place Ive been to. Great quality fish! I go here all the time and usually order takeout. The staff is really friendly and the quality of the food is consistent. Would recommend this to anyone looking for amazing sushi rolls, nigri, and sashimi.

This place is the only thing I miss about living in Renton. Best sushi Ive ever had. Super high quality and great price. Owned and run by a family, who are amazing. Have the philly or Phoenix roll! If sushi isnt your thing, the chow fun is amazing too!

What a great restaurant. My wife and I have eaten here many times, and its always excellent. Some of the best tasting and most beautiful sushi Ive had anywhere. The staff is great, and can assist with gluten free choices as well. Highly recommended!

Its not the Japanese decor of a Mizus or Bonsais, but food and staff were superb! We ordered to go, which is a very risky thing with most sushi places, and boy were we impressed. Highly recommended!!!!

Very good and fresh sushi. Prompt service and a comfy atmosphere. They have an outdoor patio which is great in the summer time. They dont have a sushi belt however the sushi is made to order.

First time here, and it was very good. We had two appetizers, and three rolls. The sushi was very tasty. Pricing was fair, and service was good. We will go back to Sushi Cafe for sure.
