Extremely disappoint with the portions we received today. Our family has been coming here for years and with our chicken and ribs lunch special we have always received 1 leg/thigh and 1 rib piece which consisted of either 4 pork ribs or 2 beef ribs. Well today we ordered 15 lunch specials. I specifically asked her if it would feed 15 people and if the rib portions were 2 beef or 4 pork ribs since we were doing 1/2 Beef and 1/2 Pork. When I got home we had 8 beef rib pieces and 21 pork rib pieces. I called and spoke to them about their portions and their response was oh well today we were only doing 1 beef bones and 3-4 pork bones. You would think after spending $133.00 they could be consistent in their portions!

If you lived in Azusa you definitely know this place. This place is a land mark and very unique, this is the only Chick N Ribs you cant find one on the next corner..This is one of the only BBQ places in Azusa. Its so sad to know that this great place has to close and be replaced by a food chain Popeyes chicken. Another breaded unhealthy greasy chicken place. This place may not have a 1$ menu or deals unlike other places BUT... you are what you eat.. this place still keeps a great price and better taste also a better choice for your health.

This place is as good today as it was 15+ years ago when I first visited. Granted the lunch prices have gone up (slightly) over the years, but it’s still extremely affordable for the meal you receive. The prices for dinner are significantly higher so usually I stop by for lunch only. Sizes of the chicken and ribs can vary a bit, however it’s more than enough since you get two sides (coleslaw and rice & gravy) and a roll. I love the rice and gravy, so good! Most people will be more than stuffed for lunch.

It lived up to the other reviews and exceeded in some ways. The quantity of food was overwhelming and the quality was pretty damn good. The chicken fell off the bone and the ribs were sloppy good. Its too bad the owner of the building is not going to renew their lease. He wants to move a chain restaurant in here. There goes the neighborhood. I would encourage everybody who likes the Country Barbecue to come in and sign a petition to renew their business lease.

Goodbye Chicken and Ribs! Sad news when I heard they will be closing tomorrow. Landlord is wanting to replace it with a Popeyes Chicken....really! Sad to see it go, even though the lunch special went up in price over the years, it was still a hell of a deal. They had a decent sauce and really the only place I could go for a beef rib for lunch. This pace will be missed.

Great place. Happen to end up here cause apparently many restaurants were closed during 4th of July. This is like a fast food bbq place. Fairly good deals and the food was good. Problem was they didnt have any salad as a side order just corn for an extra 60 cent. Your options were coleslaw, rice, mashed potatoes, fries. thought a simple salad would be a great addition.

Ribs were tough as rubber, chicken seemed to be poached then reheated on the grill. Ended up throwing away the food and going somewhere else. Went during my lunch hour, there were three women behind the counter, one sitting in a chair playing on her phone, another walking back and fourth talking on her phone, and the third took my order. Seemed like a was of labor.

My brother and I came in to grab the lunch special and we couldnt be more pleased. For $7.95 we got a roll, a big scoop of delicious coleslaw (I typically dont like coleslaw), an equally large scoop of brown rice with gravy, two massive beef ribs, and a chicken quarter. Cant beat value like that! My only gripe was that the decor was dated. I will be going back!

Great place for some homestyle BBQ. Too bad theyre closing on September 30, 2017. The $4.75 Chicken lunch plate special is the best meal you can get for the money. It comes with your choice of chicken piece (breast, etc...), a roll, slaw, and rice covered in gravy. The portions are good sized. I Iike to stop here when traffic is bad on the 210.

I love this place. Its a clean restaurant great food and if u take your time and read the menu then its not as expensive as it appears to be, and the french fries are out of this world. if you like fries or if you love them order a large its actually a large unlike most places.. I go to chicken and ribs at least 2 times a week.

I have been eating at this place for years since I live like two blocks away from this place. This place is childhood for me and ever single time I get that $ 5 lunch special it reminds me of childhood memories. The only thing bad I would say about this place is the seating arrangements, its kind of old and looks worn down.

Really going to miss you guys. and I hope someone was smart enough to invest in your recipe and carry on, at a different location.

Great chicken and sides. The only thing that prevents this place from having a 5th star is sometimes when the bossy rude Asian gentleman is in quality and prices fluctuate. If hes there you may get a costco breaded chicken patty on your bbq chicken sandwich and not given the meal discount.

For BBQ take out chicken you cannot beat the taste. Do not get me wrong, they are not perfect, I have gone there a "couple" of times and got some dry chicken. Normally they are excellent and I have gone here hundreds of times. I think you will like it too. Remember, Peace starts with you.

They are closing in a month. Get there now before they are gone! Their lease ended and some developer is not allowing a renewal as they are redeveloping that entire lot. Hence the reason nothing has been done with Alculpoco next door.

Delicious comfort food. I had chicken with rice (smothered with gravy), and mashed potatoes with also a delicious gravy. I ate EVERYTHING in no time. I took that to go and was very happy with the meal, will go back for sure.

2nd time here brought moms this time. Came here first time by chance loved it. Food is fresh and taste is amazing . Not sure if 100% authentic meaning fire-blazing bbq, but meat is charred and looks great.

Everything good to this place only thing is will be closing on September for the reasons leasing was bumped by big corporate . For me I do have support that this should be still on service till the end .
