Not only is the food the best Ive found, but the prices are very reasonable, even for unemployed college students. Every dish weve tried has been excellent, and Im a very picky eater! Weve introduced many friends and family to this little place and they have all loved it and continue to return. The menu has a great variety, the portions are very generous, and the staff is very good about custom orders. I would say the customer service at Little Szechuan is the best Ive ever had. The cook always gets the orders perfect, the wait staff are attentive, personable, are very quick and polite, the surroundings are always clean and comfortable, and the owner is the sweetest woman Ive ever met! She waits on people personally, she remembers you after only one visit, she takes the time to get to know you and ask after your family or how your day is going. She has given me hugs, compliments, free cookies, and the best wait service Ive ever had at a restaurant. My husband has a rice allergy and the owner personally remembers it. How often do you find that kind of service in a city the size of Phoenix? My husband and I will remain faithful to this restaurant as long as we live in the area. If you like Chinese food or want a great place to try Asian food for the first time, this is the yummiest, friendliest and cutest place Ive ever found!

Just got done eating here for lunch today. I read the reviews and they were mostly good, so I thought I would try it. 3 stars is FAIR. I got the Chow Mein Lunc Special. The water btw, is nast city tap water. Gross. The first thing that came out was the small bowl of hot and sour soup. Now, Im no chef, but am a pretty good cook and I have microwaved this soup before, and thats exactly what it tasted like and looked like. The consistency of the broth was very heavy. Did not like it. Next came out the eggroll. It was excellent! Really crunchy and hot. Very fresh. Next came out the main dish, the Chicken Chow Mein. WAY, WAY too oily. It destroyed the dish. The rice was cold and hard, some chicken pieces were undercooked, but all I could taste was oil. Bleh. Now Im giving it three stars because the service was amazing. Really nice people. For how much food was put in front of me, the price (seven dollars and change w/tax) wasnt too bad. Respectfully, I wont be going here again.

The service here makes you feel at home. They are extremely warm and inviting and remember most of their customers. They make you feel special and happy to have you a customer. That alone makes me come back -- not enough places these days truly put customer relationships first. I usually get their house special chicken, which is a fried chicken with amazing seasonings. Everything here is pretty tasty - you cant go wrong. Their vegetarian egg rolls are delicious. Everything is extremely affordable, especially if you order a lunch or dinner special. Little Szechuan is a family-owned small business and it is a great part of the Tempe community. Youll enjoy your experience!

Okay when I first came in there was no cars in the parking lot and I was kind of worried. Once inside we enter the restaurant I discovered that I was the only people there. But when the food came oh my god was it great. This isnt your usual Chinese restaurant it has a mixture of thai and szechhuan and Mongolian. The food was unbelievable the the sunrise chicken was so spicy. The orange chicken was great. Not like in most restaurants which really super sweet all I basically got was chicken. If youre looking for plain Chinese food go to Panda if youre looking for really good interesting Chinese / Thai food this is the place for you. Happy face

Great service, family-run/owned. Always FRESH ingredients. I mean really: youd think they had a garden and farm out back. Great menu options. THE BEST steamed dumplings. The folks that own/run this place want to serve only quality food the way you want it (everythings pretty customizable to-order). The dining environment is super casual, family-friendly, and filled with all kinds of stereotypical asian decor items. --But I think it adds to the charm. Youll feel like family by the time you leave, and your belly will be full of quality food. Youll likely have a ton of leftovers too! Very clean. Very fresh. Very friendly.

Little Szechuan is a nice little restaurant that does a busy lunch. If you enter the restaurant after 1pm its fairly empty and the food rocks. Good sized portions and plenty of flavor. The owner is also easy to work with when ordering off the menu. I saw the review that said the food was fairly bland. Most restaurants have to cater to so many different tastes these days that bland seems to be fairly common whever I go to eat but at Little Szechuan the sauces they use and the ones they are willing to add make up for it.

Simply garbage food! Ordered the spicy beef whatever lunch special and it was in a tangy red sauce. Ever seen Chinese spicy beef in a tangy red sauce? It gets better -- I ordered fried rice-- instead I got steamed rice. so then the waiter brings out what is supposedly fried rice. It was basically steamed brown rice . Unbelievable. The whole time the waiter is running around -- cant get his attention for anything. Blows my mind how there are so many 4/5 star reviews. people must not no good or decent food taste like

The restaurant actively advertises a gluten free menu, yes has no dedicated menu forcing you to ask the server. The server had nearly no knowledge of what menu items could be accommodated, and would leave to retrieve info and still not provide any clarification. Traveled 45 minutes just to try this place based on the reviews on Google and other sites but was severely disappointed. Left without placing an order, and the server made no attempt to retain our business. Would not recommend.

I used door dash app and purchased 40 bucks worth of food based on all the high acclaimed reviews I just new this would be a great choice! I got honey chicken, lemon chicken, orange chicken and chicken w/broccoli. The honey chicken has a terrible after taste like maybe the chicken was old and they cooked it any way. Honestly just very cheaply and poorly tasting food with a great presentation. My first time is a last time.

Very disappointing experience. First time trying the restaurant. I almost walked out because it took several minutes to be acknowledged. It took 30 minutes to prepare a to go order of soup and lo mein. The price was steep for the very small portions received. The soup cup was 3/4 full. The food had a bland taste. I asked for soy sauce before leaving and none was included in the bag. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Ive been coming here since I was born. I know the owner very well and she is such a caring person. Her husband and son both work there with her. When Im craving Chinese food I HAVE to go here, no other place satisfies my craving. I always get the Chicken Chow Mein and HAVE to have Dumplings (potstickers) with it:) I live at least 10 miles away but still do the drive because the food is that good.
