There was a BUG in my meal on 05-09-16 at the Scottsdale Ono location just off 90th St. The cashier refunded my money but that is little consolation for someone that just discovered A bug in their meal. This should never have happened!!!! I can promise Ive never served anyone a meal at my home with bugs in it. The food service industry is the one place where sanitation should be taken seriously and held in very high regard. I will never eat at this restaurant again nor should you.

The good: place is very clean with pleasant and fast service. The bad: ordered khalua pork, tasted and looked more like stringy beef, they may have gotten my order wrong? ? Not sure but lots of nerves and grisel in the pork/beef meal made it unpleasant to eat. Rice and side dishes were good.

Weve tried nearly all the Hawaiian plate lunch places in the valley and this is one of the better (although thats admittedly not saying much). Its simple plate lunch and prices are pretty good. Whenever we go in, all the customers look "Local", which tells you something about its authenticity!

Its ok. Thats about all I can say. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are good. But the food just tastes bland to me, and it feels like a fast food joint that doesnt care too much about the cooking. Its not a destination spot to me for that reason.

We had the BBQ mix plate and the chicken mix plate with gyoza on the side. Everything was super delicious and tasted fresh. Quick and friendly service made the pick up order speedy and efficient.

The ingredients are extremely low quality but otherwise this place is great. I recommend the Chicken Katsu - its fried so youre less likely to notice how fatty and gristly the chicken is cut.
