Im a huge fan of "Sunday Funday" in Valle Lunas cantina. Its happy hour all day and they have good specials. The $4.50 Margarita is my favorite drink and I love the bandito burros with their fantastic guac. The reason why I gave them a 4 is because I went tonight and was a bit irritated that they told us their meat filling for their chimichangas or whatever they put the fillings in are pre-made and the cooks would not make it to order. My boyfriend hates onions to the point of not eating whatever it is if the tiniest bit of onion is found. We asked if they could make a chicken chimi without onions and not only did the waitress say no, she didnt even ask. I dont know if thats laziness on her part or if shes asked so many times already that she already knows the answer. Then she explained that the chicken was pre-made, but if we order the pollo, thats not pre-made. That was rather confusing but I think we figured out its a chicken breast that they grill and shred for the dish instead of the mix of white and dark meat they usually use. I will definitely keep coming back to the cantina for their Sunday specials. Theyre the best around. However, if you have someone with you with food allergies, I dont know how accommodating they are for you and I think a restaurant should be able to make your food to order.

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM NO STARS, I WOULD HAVE DONE THAT! DO NOT COME HERE!!! We had a bad experience in the Bell Rd location, I came home and sent an e-mail complaint in and was IGNORED! I sent in a second complaint and was sent back a LONG letter attacking my complaint in the first place. I have news for these OWNERS- With customer service like this you will close soon. One thing BILL said to me was no one else complained about that nights service. I can tell you with complete confidence, no one else may have complained but I guarantee there were other people that will just not come back. THE LETTER THAT CAME BACK WAS RUDE, AGGRESSIVE, SELF INDULGENT AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Terrible that they have such an inflated self ego that they do not care and even worse yet feel inclined to attack anyone who did not like their experience at this establishment. Have been coming to this place since the 80s, has been a family favorite for a very very long time. The last couple years the prices have increased 2 or 3 times, the menus have changed and the quality has rapidly dropped! Used to just come for the margaritas, but seems like every time we drink them we all complain of belly aches!! Is so disappointing, used to absolutely love the salsas specifically the hotter one, and now the hot one is way too hot and the normal salsa is horrible tastes diluted with water. The mechaca meat used to be a favorite now is unpalatably hot, and I like spicy but this is just insane. Tried this restaurant several times in the last couple months and it does not matter what we order... its either burning hot or just flavorless. So disapointed!!

We have been going there since it opened. The food is good.. was there a week ago for lunch..it couldnt be better. It was delicious!! I noticed food can change according to new cooks. A few times..I had to send it back. I ordered a Taco Salad that was so wet and tasteless. Someone didnt take notice. I know I will never order that again.. I had beef fajitas and There was so few pieces of beef which had been cut into tiny pieces. So dissapointing. and I love this place. I hope the managers take notice of the food. The combinations plates are normally good. I am hoping it continues to be as good as my lunch last week. That is why I gave it a high rate.

Ive been going here for years, the food is always delicious! However they get 3 stars today because of the terrible service we had. Everything came out wrong, and had to send 2 out of 3 entrees back and they still werent right. Server didnt really care. Took forever for him to get our order. Ive never had such bad service at that place in the 10 years Ive been going there. My advice, dont sit in the bar. Im a waitress, so I let so many things slide cause I understand what goes on in the back of the house. But this was simply a terrible waiter. Manager never stopped by the table, even tho 1 entree had to be removed from the bill. Foods still delicious though!

Love Valle Luna. Been going there for years. Good service, good food. Love the two options of salsa/hot sauce. Chips are homemade. Great to snack on while you wait. The Pollo Fundido is amazing. The Mrs. and I always split it and we both leave full. Deep fried deliciousness. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Very pro Arizona sports. Always enjoy my time at Valley Luna. Only complaint is that prices have seem to gone up a bit. To be expected in our economy.

Eh, not the best. My boyfriend and I came here after photographing some lightening storms and were really looking forward to some quality Mexican food. Sadly, we were both disappointed, it was rather expensive for the amount of food and when we received it most was over cooked. I didnt even bother taking left overs, which is something I do very often. Maybe it was just an off night for them, but I cant say that I would go here again.

We arrived 20 mins before closing and the server was extremely rude and rushed us to place our order. If they did not want to take a table that late the hostess should not have seated us. We felt rushed the entire time. No one was very friendly. There were 3 other tables yet every knife in the restaurant was dirty. We spent $60 and I lost my appetite to eat by time our food arrived. It was our first and last time to eat here.

Asked for a booster seat for the baby, didnt get it. Had to find it ourselves. Asked for sides of beans, rice, grilled veg and tortillas with no cheese on anything. Beans came with cheese anyways. Server tried to tell us we could just have it... Explained we were vegan and again we dont want cheese. Server was very polite and even changed the channel for us but was overall innattentive. (Cantina area)

When I want fried ice cream, dont give it to me un-fried covered in nasty soggy cornflakes. That was seriously gross. When I called about the mistake, they told me "thats how weve always done to-gos." They shouldve told me that they wouldnt FRY my fried ice cream before I wasted my time and money. If you want authentic Mexican food, there are a LOT other options in AZ. Dont go here.

Havent ate Valle Luna since stop doing coupon decided to eat there tonight. Had a My daughters drink poured all over us and her phone by person who delivered food. Food was burnt, horrible service, never got drink after poured on us. Manager never came over didnt eat my food because it was charcoal. Asked for manager but didnt seem to care. Worse experience. Will never go back.
