I was really disappointment with my experience here. Despite its claims, this place was about as authentic as the previously frozen microwaved burritos you get the 7-11. The chimichangas and taquitos were dry and flavourless. The chips and salsa were barely alright and the "guacamole" came in a small plastic cup. On top of all of this, the service was poor and the atmosphere was befouled by the drunken regulars yammering over football. I definitely recommend if you are looking to gain a better appreciation for somewhere like taco bell.

Review based on To-Go Order: Mehhhh, nothing authentic about it, but hey toddlers approve. If you want something 1-2 stars above Taco Bell, well this place will do. The inside was festive and seemed like a bar. The review is harsh, but its mostly reserved for the actual food quality, portion, authenticy and price, . All customers inside were happy and genuinely loved the place (locals/softball favorite hang out). Surprisingly the chips, salsa, and guacamole were fresh and tasty.

First, asked the waitress if the horchata was real, she said yes and brought me a cup of carnation milk. Second, the strawberry enchiladas are a pancake rolled with strawberry yogurt; Didnt eat 2 bites and had to ask to have it removed from bill since the waitress didnt automatically do so. We settled to go halves, since she wouldnt remove the entire cost. Sucks they landed such a good name for the restaurant that doesnt deserve to be a part of any familia. . Ill never go back.

Ive tried this place 3 different times but just havent been impressed. Its close to home so I really wanted to like it, which is why i gave it 3 chances. I ordered 3 different dinners as well. The bar atmosphere is nice, but i just dont like their food very much. Ive been eating mexican food across the nation for about 2 decades now so im pretty picky, as Ive had the good stuff. Taco Bell is close so I will probably just go there.

Same issue as other reviewer. Shredded beef Chimi With quac and sour cream with a tiny and I do mean tiny side of rice and beans was 18 dollars. This place is crazy priced for sides that should be included. This order was to go and I have been to their location at 67th ave and had a better experience dine in. This new 19 ave location also has a issue with food quality for 18 dolllars the chimi should have been great not taco bell level.

Service sucks! I want to like it as its close my house. The last time I was here when sitting at the bar and being ignored, I had to interrupt the bartender and a server who were chatting. The time before that, my wife and I sat at a high top and were ignored. After 15 minutes we left without acknowledgement. Not busy either time. Employees like BSing with each other instead of looking after their customers.

Always saw this place as I drove by....Always busy figured wed try it. Umm its a bar that serves crappy Mexican food. My burro had 2 different types of chicken Fresh and what appeared to be reheated over cooked chunks that were hard to chew. Served on foam plates with extra crappy plastic wear. If it was cheaper price wise I can understand....But the price is on par with top shelf. I wont be back.

If you order the pollo fundido you need to ask for the sauce to be hot. I bit into it and it was cold...ugh. I asked the server and they told me thats how it was suppose to be and it was on me to ask for it to be hot. What???? Gave 3 stars because I like the drinks and salsa. They could have offered to heat my meal up. I ended up eating it for lunch...hot, great flavor.

Their food is ok. They have lots of cool options like grilled hatch Valley Chilis that you can get and take home and tortillas as well. Their food is just okay nothing special. They have a bar area which seems to be pretty popular most of the times and has karaoke on some nights. Their food is definitely pricey for the servings that you get

Great neighborhood Mexican food. Normally i I would not real a restaurant like this 4 stars, but they have a few dishes that kick the crap out of some really high end Mexican food restaurants. One for example is the green chilli burrito made enchilada style. Try out, and you will know what Im talking about. Cool place!

Stopped in on a whim. Wanted mexican food to go. Caught off guard a little cuz it looks like a giant sports bar. BUT THE FOOD IS FREAKN AWESOME. Steak tacos and they made shrimp burritos for me, not on menu. But they should be, fantastic. Ill be back

Great neighborhood Mexican spot. Can hang out with an adult outing or family outing. Has live music, trivia, pool table, pacman and golf game. Great laid back atmosphere, basic salsa bar, great drink specials and THRIFTYS ICE CREAM!

Ate at the 19th & Happy Valley location. Spent $16 for a shredded beef Chimi and chips to go. The Chimi was small, lacked much taste, and way overpriced for its size. Salsa is good, but thats not enough for me to come back.

Im not going back. Its the closest Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood. Been a few times. Food is bland, not fresh, and the beer is warm. More like a singles meat bar.

Average generic Mexican food and bar food. Noisy. Went once, then waited 3 months and went again. Food luke warm and bland both times. Service slow. Seemed short handed

Good Mexican food. Casual local spot with a good happy hour. Good spot for a bite for families. Nice beer selection and ample TVs for watching sports.

There was only 1 waitress and a bartender, that helped when she could but the service was slow. Nothing I wet there made we want to come back again
