I guess anyone can call themselves a Gastro-Pub these days. Gastro-Pubs are popping up all over the country and some are better than others. The key ingredients in a gastro-pub are a wide selection of beers, a menu that expresses variety & creativity, mature atmosphere/ambience, and a knowledgeable staff. The beverages at a Gastro-Pub should complement the menu. While Noblehops does have an extensive collection of brews, those brews don’t pair well with much on the menu. The brew selection far outshines there dining options. A $12 beer doesn’t go well with $10 Hummus from a can. The noblehops menu is limited and very uncreative. I order several small plates for our group, and all of them look like they could have been prepared by the wait staff and not a chef. A lot of the food tasted canned. I think they NobleHops should be downgraded from “Gastro-Pub” to “fancy bar with a kitchen”. The NobleHops staff isn’t very well versed in what their location has to offer either. They can’t tell you much about the menu and they don’t seem to be very interested in paying attention to the customers. I guess we were there near closing time, but they didn’t want to be bothered with filling orders or bringing back drinks. The outdoor space was really nice and the indoor ambiance was “Pier One” or “Ikea” sexy, but I will give them credit for trying. Overall C-. If you are going to NobleHops eat before you go to avoid the overpriced food and sit at the bar to get the best service.

Excellent neighborhood Pub with an amazing assortment of home brewed beer on tap. Eat inside or on their gorgeous patio complete with water coolers which spray a water mist into the air. This makes the heat of the Arizona sun bearable. As long as there is not a great deal of humidity. If that is the case eat in doors. But on a gorgeous AZ evening there is usually a large crowd drinking many of the Amazing assortment of beer on tap & eating food from their comprehensive menu. The Restaurant has a wonderful menu. Many different types of Delicatessen, full meals and even an assortment of comfort food. Also it is conveniently located just around the corner from my home. Great Service, reasonable pricing. Just a excellent place to call my hangout. Has remarkable views of the Santa Catalina Mountains in Oro Valley. It is a come as you are dressed place. Better to dress comfortably. But it is in a very posh area so people tend to be fashion conscious. I bring friends & even my 81 year old mom enjoys the atmosphere & cuisine at Noble Hops. Just remember that it fills up very quickly due to its excellent food & great locale. So calling ahead is never a bad idea. "I prefer just to pop in and join the crowd. I can ride my bike there in the cooler seasons. But if your going to be drinking ale. Be a responsible Designated driver . Check it out, you will enjoy it very much.

Great selection of beers. If you cant find one on tap ,they have it in a bottle. True enough it seems no one carries a porter on draft anymore ,but hey you gotta stock what sells. On that note, I wonder why Noble Hops canned the Ahi Tuna Burger/Sandwich. Seems people either love or dont care for this place, and i must admit, not as busy as it used to be during off peak hours. Thinking the new menu really has a lot to do with all the down time. Not really anything on it for anyone unless you are out and about splurging with your buddies. A lot of high priced fancy food but nothing for your regular patron whom might like a bit to eat, but not feeling pretentious.Decent service.Staff trys hard.As any establishment ,help rotates thru but i belive management puts in an effort to prepare staff towards customer service.

A group of us went to Noble Hops last Thursday. We were greeted as we walked in and seated right away. I was a little concerned as I thought it would be trafficy near the door, but we had no disturbances. The wait staff was great - I changed y order with another server after it had been turned in and once the food was served, the original server thought I had received the incorrect order; I was pleased that she was observant and wanted to make sure everything was right. We shared several appetizers and ordered a number of different entrees and salads. Everyone had a different beer and we were all impressed with the beer choices. The food was nicely served, fresh and delicious.

Service was so slow, I feel like they did not care about us being there because we are on the younger side? In our mid 20s. Sat there for 15 minutes before being offered drinks. Server didnt introduce herself or really have much of anything to say. Zero enthusiasm. Calamari came out which was good but when we asked for silverware and plates, we were once again forgotten about. Ate the app with our hands (not the calamari you are used to) then asked for our check. Our waitress didnt even ask if we were going to order dinner which we had planned on. Not going back. Service was so poor.

Really mixed experience. The apps were good, especially the fries. But the entrees were problematic. Two members of our party had to send back the curries because they tasted like watery nothing. My grilled cheese was good until I found a square of wax paper in it! Father in law got bangers and mash that were bland, had no gravy, and uncooked cauliflower. Also, his olive martini came with a lime wedge rather than olives. They took a few items off the bill, but should have comped a lot more for the systemic screw ups. None of us will be back, which is sad because the view is great.

We went there on a Friday night. It was crowded but the server came right away. My partner ordered a beer and I asked if the server could fine out if they used canola oil in their cooking. She returned shortly to say that the chef said they used canola oil in everything. So my advice is... Go for the beer, stay away from the food. Canola oil makes me sick. Some restaurants which use it will try to prepare foods without it. Not here apparently. It is in my opinion, just cheap crap. Canola oil is GMO and if you dont believe me see what Dr Weil says about it.

Just to say first off i believe the whole experience was esquisite! The beer collection was broad and was well priced for even exotic selections. Our server exuded excellence, unfortunately I dont remember her name but she was a petite pregnant women, as was uncommonly friendly and absolutely wonderful. The food was the absolute best part of this venture from the delicious artichoke appetizer to the succulent and moist duck. I enjoyed this establishment to the fullest and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Noble Hops never fails to underwhelm. We hadnt visited in quite a while because our past experiences were poor. We figured wed give them another try, and have once again sworn off of this place. Each time we go, it is inevitable what whatever beer one of us orders off of the menu will actually not be available. My husbands choice of beer was not available any more; my beer was flat. The food is overpriced. $11 for Greek Frites (aka, french fries)?! No thanks. $14 for a veggie burger? Yikes. We wont be back.
