This place is on the way into Vail village right before crossing the wooden bridge its to your right looking up mountain towards gondola 1. Descending down stone stairs you walk a hall and youll find large wooden doors that lead to a pseudo pub lounge and billards hall. Foods great and you can certainly get your fill or try something fancy its all good here from pub grub to drink. This place peaks at prime time hours so show up a little early or late to skip the rush. Pro tip: dont nagg the bar keeps for drinks they dislike rude customers and will attend to your needs ASAP. Secondly great lounge area for drinks and apps but they close up promptly at 1030. Third if you play a song they dislike on the jute-box its liable to be skipped. Ha

There was an extremely long line to get in. I have a medical condition called Vaso vagal Syncopy, which causes me to faint if I stand idol for periods of time. I explained to the person at the door. He refused to let me in and wait for my party so that I wouldnt faint waiting. I requested the manager. He refused to get him. The people standing in the line even began shouting at me. I will never go to this place even if there was no line if this the treatment someone gets with a DISABILITY!

I like the pub feel of The George and the Happy Hour specials are some of the best in the valley. They serve mostly pub-grub but do have some entrees like Crab Legs and steaks. The bar here is well stocked and the drinks are excellent. While it is not on their menu, you can get a Moscow Mule if you like but their Martinis are excellent. Service can be a little slow at times but that is the norm for most places in ski season.

Been going to the George for over 5 years now and have highly recommended this place to more than 200 people. Not again, the service was the worst Ive ever seen and the food came out over cooked for our complete party. I sent my steak back and it took 30 minutes to receive another one, so I sat there and waited while the other people in our party sucked it up and ate their burned or over cooked food. Wont be returning!!!

Came here with two friends place was recommended by local friends and others enjoyed our meal but certain employee exhibited an extremely intolerant political view. He should stick to serving drinks and taking care of customers instead of perpetuating his political agenda. I noticed that those who want tolerance are the most intolerant.

Great food and atmosphere! Prices were decent considering youre in Vail. Quite a few options in the $10 - $15 range. Tons of dope pictures on the walls to look at like the original rolling stone with the rolling stones. Also had a sweet music playlist we liked the first 6 songs but the 7th sucked but the food made up for it.

The George. The classic ski town bar. Where the locals flock and the younger ski crowd come to drink and party. Dont underestimate this underground bar though, they have a dining room with booth seating and couches. Everything from bar food to surf and turf special, its a must stop for all those going out in Vail.

5 stars for the ultra relaxing super laid back atmosphere. the full leather recliners and a few rounds are a great way to chill after a day on the mtn. Probably the best priced place in Vail Village for Apres Ski. Bill Swerkski might say Da Bears, but I am saying Tha George! cause I am super fan of this place.

Been living here since 2001. Service has gone way downhill. Due to our servers rudeness and lack of serving skills l had to leave with no food and no drink after 30 minutes of waiting. Sad to say after 15 years Im done going to the George. Thank god theres a million other choices here.

This is the best bar in Vail. An amazing off the hill bar because the happy hour deal rocks and there are comfortable seating areas all over. Great hang out bar because it has a good bar game selection. Also has good bar area and lounge so a great place to get your night started.

We come here every summer. They have the best specials. Happy hour from 6-10 with king crab legs, surf & turf, or filet mignon for $23 and drinks for $4.75. Excellent food and the best prices we have found in Vail.
