I have never eaten at a restaurant with cockroach issues. In this particular store, Village Inn at 1155 S. Dobson Mesa, AZ, there are so many cockroaches that the serving staff, the cook staff, and the manager dont even seem phased by it. I can not believe this restaurant is still open there are cockroaches in the kitchen and the dining room. They are underneath the booths and crawling on the walls. They have cockroach sheets under their juice machine with live cockroaches stuck to them right where all the drinks are prepared. This is a horrible place to eat and I would not recommend it to anyone except health services so they can be shut down. How can you knowingly run a restaurant that is so dirty and disgusting there are cockroaches living in the walls? The fact that this place is still open makes me wretch. Thinking about how long this place must have been running with their cockroaches I shudder to think about the sanitation of the food. There are big roaches crawling all over the pies where the pies are cut and sliced for the guest. Big enough cockroaches that they can fly. They also have teeny tiny baby cockroaches living on the food line where the food is plated and prepared to be sent into the dining room. How can they have passed a health inspection with live cockroaches roaming around!? I would wager that their pest control is completely disgusted with the restaurant and would not eat there. This restaurant should be shut down today.

Food selection is just OK. Not a spot for you if you prefer meats other than swine; they do have beef and chicken but its very limited. I get it ... pork is cheap to buy and sells quickly. I had a just OK server. She made sure to mention that we were her last table and couldnt wait to be done; this was after she sighed a few times when taking our order. And then, she left us hanging at the end and never brought the check before she bailed on us. But it was a inexpensive meal, so if you want to go to place with low prices that serves breakfast all day, and youre tired of Dennys and Ihop, then Village Inn it is.

ROACHES!!! Full of roaches on walls and in our booth. Ordered a shake and the milk tasted sour. Overheard the kitchen staff ask why the lemons were in with the hard boiled eggs. The manager was extremely unprofessional and informed us how she already comped four dinners due to the roaches and what is she supposed to do. I never asked for free anything and was trying to inform her instead of just leaving and not saying anything. She then double charged me and i had to have that corrected. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT ROACHES & FOOD POISONING!!!

Terrible customer service. Will never go here again. my visit was on 3/8/15. Talk about poor food quality and bad management. Felt bad for the waiter he did his best but the cook and the manager were the worst cannot believe Village inn allows this to happen. Please update your management. ASAP. BURNT PANCAKES STILL GOT CHARGED .WRONG ORDER STILL GOT BILLED. LONG WAIT ABOUT AN HOUR. TERRIBLE MANAGER. RUDE AND CARELESS.

Ive never had a bad experience at any village inn, until I came here!!! Clearly the problem is the poor management of the restaurant + the dirty restrooms!!!! Also specified how I wanted my order, they didnt bring it as I had asked, they made me a new order and again they didnt bring it as I asked, I felt embarrassed to tell them again so I just ate the non-flavored food!!! BY THE WAY AFTER 1 HOUR OF WAITING!!!!!!!!!!

Normally good service and quality food for the price so I am not sure what happened. Went on 4/5/17. Took over 12 minutes for waitress to get to my table after hostess sat me, she hurriedly took my order, food came out quickly, never checked on me once, dropped off check before I could order my free pie, pie came out cold. I was there for over an hour when I didnt really need to be. Kinda disappointed.

The menu has a lot of variety, but is heavily slanted towards breakfast. The servers are quick and responsive and keep the dining room very clean. Prices seem a little high, but the food quality is great. This location seems to be more of a coffee and breakfast place for the senior crowd. The televisions are an unwelcome distraction, but its a good place to get something to eat.

This was literally the best food Ive had since I moved here recently! We have a village inn back home that is disgusting! This was so nice and the portion was a great value! I had the potato pancakes with carne on top. We were so happy with our server as well. He made sure to check on us and never leave our drinks empty. There were a lot of people, I was impressed!

Great service, fast and friendly. Clean restaurant. Great servers. Food is always good and the pies are incredible. My last visit I ordered a cheesecake to go and the cashier went above and beyond to make the New York style cheesecake for my sons birthday extra special. I wish I had remembered her name. I cannot thank her enough.

This Village Inn has been here forever and the service hasnt change. Youre greeted by a Warm and friendly staff. Today our server was Michael. Michael is awesome. Great personality and caring. He greets all of his tables and makes sure were all taken care. Thank you Michael for your great service!! Happy Sunday ☺

I dont normally do this but... I asked for a glass of water which turned out to be some nasty tap water. Then I was apologized to and offered something else. The coffee is tap too. The meal was large but unimpressive. The service was poor. Wouldnt go back for a free family meal and I have 6 kids.

Order french dip sandwich with french fries picked it up she said it just come out of the kitchen I was home withing 4 mintues the bread was so hard and thick I couldnt even buy into it everything was cold the french fries were so soggy and cold they were on edible will not go back here

The location is good. I have never had a bad breakfast there. The service could be better and the place could stand to be renovated like other Village Inn locations in the Valley. It feels old and dingy...outdated. Hosting staff is nice. Servers arent bad, by any means...just curt.

The silverware that I got was dirty and the waitress seemed to have a bit of attitude when my boyfriend pointed it out. I didnt like that there were plenty of booths but they decided to put us next to the loud kitchen. I liked the food though it was pretty good.

Good food, service with delivering food is good but they do get busy at times & I think they should add more than two waiters or waitress working the tables whether busy or not because then it tends to take too long to wait to pay your bill to leave.
