All I can say is that the reviews connected with this restaurant have to have been written by friends of the owner. If I could have given this place no stars, I certainly would have. Never had I had a more terrible dining out experience than at Valle Luna. I just arrived in Arizona from NY and took my family to dinner there. Six of us sat down to dine and we went to order. Last year I had the best chili relleno dinner here, so I asked for it again. Sorry maam, you have to have a taco instead of the two chilis! Why said I, I dont like tacos, cant you just charge me for a second chili. No substitutions! Just take off the taco and put on a chili, dont you want your customers happy? My granddaughter heard him mumble, for a price and for a price it was! Instead of charging me for one chili, they charged me for double chilis, beans and rice...18 bucks for two soggy cheese chilis! Where last year they were crisp and hot and delicious, this year they were two drowned out soggy cold messes lying mixed in with the beans and rice, drowned in tasteless watery sauce. I asked for the manager and Carlos, the manager came to tell me...tough! We have rules. We dont change things! I said dont you care about customer satisfaction? He said, we have rules! I said I guess you dont care about your customers and he shrugged. That says it all! Tasteless soggy food, nasty manager, greasy plates at the table, uncaring waiter..including the one who elbowed me as I left the restaurant. All this for 118 + dollars. Enter at your own risk! Im sure there has to be better Mexican restaurants in the Chandler area, or at least ones that actually care about their customers.

The food is very average at best...I read a review on here that said "bar food," I totally agree. They do give you fair size portions for the money but the food isnt very good at all. We went today for the second time since we moved to this area from Dallas. Our waitress on this second visit was the worst ever. Her name was Michelle and she was a very "unhappy camper" and took it out on her customers. She definitely belongs somewhere other than around people. Our food was not only bad but it wasnt even hot and the chips were old. I paid 15 dollars for the steak frijitas and the food wasnt even hot. The iron pan it came in wasnt even hot. The ceramic plate that the rice and beans came on was much hotter than the frying pan with the steak frijitas and onions and peppers. My wife and I will not return to such a crummy excuse for a Mexican Restaurant. Sure to miss the Mexican fare in Dallas.

Really horrible experience here. My mom came to visit from the Midwest so of course I wanted to treat her to some awesome Mexican food. I found this place on Yelp and was impressed by the "Best of" award. After arriving I should have known something was off. The outdated decor and dim lighting were off-putting, but I dont go to restaurants for the interior design. So, I decided to keep my hopes high for the food... That turned out to be a mistake. The waiter acted like he couldnt care less if we were even there although it was dead (it was the middle of the day during the week so I didnt expect it to be packed). We were low on drinks several times and had to try and wave him over but it took numerous attempts. He was prompt with extra salsa, but it was very watery and just mediocre. The food was all like that really.. just OK. I left full but with no desire to ever revisit.

Bad experience Sat evening 6/6 We were party of 4 the waitress brought our food then sat down in booth behind us and remained there chatting with 2 females. Never came back to our table, Had to take our own cups to get refills. Told bar manager. Then when leaving asked to speak to manager. He did not seem concerned. Said he would talk to her. When I told him we over heard her telling the 2 ladies that she had coupon that they could buy one meal get one free. Also she walked right pass our table to bring them another margarita. He said that was her family........that does not justify her ignoring other tables to visit and feel family. He acted as if it were nothing......I gave 1 star only because it wont allow you to give no stars.

As Event Planners, we have satisfied hundreds of mouths by finding the most delicious tacos in the Valley, we have tasted hundreds of tacos and guess what we found.......??? The best Tacos for both taste and presentation is Valle luna catering! Obviously if you want to pay-an-arm and a leg for Mexican food, you can get it at fancier more pretentious places, but Im telling you Valle Luna will satisfy both you and your wallet! Food: Authentic, Seasoned well, just the right amount of taste and heat. Salted properly, Fresh produce. Basically a Fiesta in your mouth! We will continue searching for better Tacos but for now, VL is the where we get our Catering from. - MRE Events: Coming to an Apartment Near You.

Not a friendly hostess. The restaurant felt warm. Ordered a sangria-Rita disappointed!! It looked nothing like the picture on the menu, there was neither salt nor sugar on the rim, it was melted, not frozen, tasted pretty much like sangria with a shot of tequila in it. Pointed all these issues out to the server he stated that if he was to bring another it would look exactly the same or he could bring out another GLASS with salt or sugar on the rim. Was still charged full price for the drink. Food was alright mostly rice and beans on the plate. The table next to us was not pleased with their experience either. Do not think I will be returning to this location as it is the second not so great experience here.

I own Hawaiian Experience Day Spa nearly right next to Valley Luna and I am happy to say that this place has become a regular dinner and happy hour spot for us. After a hard days work we are always pleased by the friendly service and great menu. The chips a salsa are free and are a great start. Sometimes I think I could just eat that! So far everything we have had has been great. My only constructive comment is that they have a happy hour menu at the tables in the restaurant but those prices are only valid in the Cantina so watch that. I dont think they are trying to be misleading but I found it confusing. Great place and it is very popular.

Ive been eating at this restaurant since 2008 (roughly once every two years) and if you enjoy real Mexican food, then this is the place for you. The chimichanga with spinach queso was the best chimichanga Ive ever had (I dont even like spinach). Some of these reviews stating they received terrible service, most treated their servers poorly which resulted in poor service. My food came out very quickly, within 10-15 minutes and the margaritas are a must have. My family and I always praise Valle Luna whenever we come to visit Arizona and is always a place we have to to.
