You park in the parking lot for Salty Señorita to the south of Buca di Beppo and there are no signs on the building that say Buca di Beppo except one in the front that is covered by cars and bushes from the parking lot. They need a bigger sign. In the lobby (you know where people hang out with there kids) there was a large painting of a naked man with a very hairy, gross looking penus carrying a bag that said Buca di Beppo. I thought at first maybe its fine art (which I still don`t want to see in a family restaurant right before I eat) and then I realized that it was NOT because it was a advertisement for the restaurant. NOT appetizing. Plus if I had my niece and nephew there I would be PISSED. The free bread was very cheap bread. The Chicken marsela needed a lot more spices and my wife and I were very disappointed. The pricing wasnt too bad though, considering it was downtown scottsdale. We had been given a gift card and for a total of $60 we got two drinks, garlic bread (since the free bread was terrible), we split the chicken marsela and a desert. But overall, neither of us would go back there. Take down the naked pic Buca. Its not art, and parents shouldnt have to explain to their children what that hairy thing is between the guys legs because they stood IN THE LOBBY. If anything move it back into the dining room, at least then you have a chance of NOT seeing a hairy penus before you go to eat.

We usually have great service at Bucas, but on Thanksgiving this year nearly everything went wrong. They brought the wrong sizes of wine, didnt bring out the usual bread, and while the wait for dinner was reasonable, the mussels we ordered first, as an appetizer, did not arrive until the same time as the main course. There was no vinegar & oil or bread provided until we called the waiter back after the courses had all arrived. My lemonade glass had crud adhered inside the glass, near the bottom. (Lovely surprise to find after drinking down to it.) The 2 pasta dishes we ordered were good, but they had cooled too much by the time we finished the mussels. Our server was very nice and responsive, but didnt seem to have been fully trained in yet. Our reservations were at 2:30 pm and the restaurant was busy then, but not any more so than on a typical evening. This was quite the disappointing dining experience. 26 Nov 2016 update. The Scottsdale manager called today and asked for more details and apologized for the service and was very nice. He also sent a generous gift card for our next visit. So while the Thanksgiving dinner wasnt so great, we are being treated more than fairly and expect our next visit to be as fun as usual.

well, where to begin? my girlfriend and I drove from downtown PHX to enjoy some Bucca. we arrive and are greeted with a hostess with a terrible attitude. A foursome that was there before us asked how much longer it would be to which she replied in the most unprofessional way by saying they needed tables bussed. that group ended up leaving without being seated. they finally seat us but tell us the only table available is the kitchen table. that sounds cool, so we sit down. what they didnt tell you is multiple guests often walk past your table and stare at you as if you are a leper. we then wait 20 minutes before asking one of the many servers standing in the kitchen who our server is. finally get an order in. 30 minutes later, no food. finally speak to a manager and they had put the order in 5 minutes prior to us speaking with him. all we ordered was a small spaghetti and meatball and a small pizza. well the manager comped us some food and a dessert. thats the only thing keeping this from a 1 star. ftr, the food was delicious. the service was just pitiful.

I did an online catering order in advance and when I called the day before to verify if I could use gift cards I had received they said they would make a note that I wanted to pay with gift cards first. They said that I could use the cards then they would adjust the balance charged to my credit card. They had not yet charged my card as of the day before so when we went to pick it up and pay they refused to accept the gift cards. They stated that since the order was over $75 they charge the card right away. I intentionally called to confirm and make sure. There was no reason to not use the gift cards since my card had not been charged yet. They charged it that morning. However they knew in advance that I had gift cards to use and they could have waited to charge the correct amount to the credit card. I am disappointed that no one there wanted to rectify the situation or apologize for giving wrong information. Or do anything for that matter. Food is good but the customer service lacks especially when you are paying a lot for catering order.

Worst customer service I ever experienced before. Ordered take out and once I got home I noticed that they gave me a SMALL instead of a LARGE of Spicy chicken rigatoni so I contacted them and the lady advised me that they gave me LARGE but clearly gave me SMALL, basically calling me a liar so I asked to speak to a manager due to the fact that they should put customers first... I was willing to come back in and show them that I got a small instead of a large and the manager was basically not hearing me out saying he asked his cook and the cook told him he gave me a large....once again clearly telling me I was a liar. I am a big fan of Buca and love how a large feeds all 3 of my kids including me... I know what a LARGE looks like. So thanks for charging me for a LARGE when I got a SMALL. I will never ever go back to the Scottsdale location again. Ive never met people that were so impolite!!! Worst Management ever!!!!

Ive been to the Buca Di Beppo in Pittsburgh, PA, before this one. However, this experience was far from stellar. The place was not busy when the two of us arrived. However, we got put into the smallest room with the largest and loudest party. Just the two of us and the 10 or 15 of one family. Ive got no problem with the large family having a good time, but the hostess could have put us somewhere that wasnt going to be so obnoxiously loud. The food was subpar. My dish was decent, but my fiances cheese manicotti was lacking in flavor and appeal. Overall, we were far from impressed. Being stuck in the small room (when there was plenty of other places to put us) was a very poor choice by the hostess making the entire experience rather unpleasant. Without good food to compensate for the surroundings, Im giving this a Poor rating. Go check out the one in Pittsburgh for a good time instead.

Service and quality used to be great. On my last visit the staff was lackluster at best. I was quickly given my food upon arrival; however, upon discovering the order was incomplete I had to wait an additional 45 minutes while the correct portion of my food was getting cold. The staff seemed unphased by the fact the order was incomplete and on multiple occasions gathered in the lobby to discuss how much they hated waiting on larger groups. I find it extremely unprofessional and off putting to observe such behavior at what is supposed to be a family style restaurant. Most disappointing of all is after I arrived home I discovered that the food I waited an additional 45 minutes to receive was so cold it must have come straight out of a refrigerator.
