I visited on February 9th around 3pm. The food was delectable, fresh tasting, and GREAT!! But the hostess was horrible, I didnt think we would be able to get in to even be seated. She told me that there would be a 40-60 minute wait as if that would be a deterrent. And then she stood there looking at me harshly as if that was the end of the conversation. I had no problem waiting, the food is great there! Her job is to take down the incoming customers information, and have them shown to a waiter once their table is ready. It is not her job to assume that she knows how long a person is willing to wait for a meal. She had that attitude apparently all day because I was told by another customer that lots of other people were turned away by her nasty attitude and demeanor. She was extremely rude!! Her attitude was very disrespectful and callous!! They need to fire her right away. She should not be in the service industry AT ALL!!! Very very poor customer service!! Conners has great food but the service has to do better. Also, The restaurants space is limiting. So, there is no real waiting area. While we waited, we were just basically in the middle of the walkway- basically in everyone elses way. They could make better use of the space by outlining an obvious waiting area inside. The bar was there but it was full, so where else is there to wait unless youre outside in the freezing cold or rain or inside in the middle of the walkway. But waiting is not really a problem, for great food, you will wait no problem- ALL GOOD REVIEWS. But for very bad customer service from hostess - ALL BAD REVIEWS. Conners Steak and Seafood- Huntsville, you can do better and you can start by firing that hostess. She was very rude and irritating to your customers. Shes definitely in the wrong line of work, please set her free; let her go, so she can find a job that better suits her personality.

Overall, a decent experience. Slightly cheaper than Ruths Chris, our favorite steak house, but not as good either. Read on for the scoop... This was our first visit to Connors. We went to celebrate our anniversary. We made a reservation through the opentable app and we were seated within a few minutes of arrival. Our waiter Jason greeted us immediately with a "Happy Anniversary." He was thorough and made good recommendations when he found out it was our first visit. Our drinks and salad arrived promptly, along with bread. The salad and bread was fine. Our mixed drinks were acceptable. Our steaks came a few minutes after we finished our salads. My medium filet was cooked as ordered and tasted good. It was tender and moist. My wifes however was not right. She ordered medium well and definitely received a medium. They promptly took it back. A new steak arrived about 10 minutes later, along with a new potato as well Unfortunately, it was cooked medium and was too red for her. It went back one more time. Another 10 minutes and it was back. This time it was correct, but unfortunately, it was slightly overcooked. They offered us a free desert to compensate for the troubles. The cheesecake was fantastic. Service was good. The atmosphere was good. Food was average. I will probably give them another chance.

Came on a Thursday night at 6pm and were seated quickly. An awful lot of staff around, and our server was friendly and prompt. Server knew all of the entrees and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Chicken tortilla soup was good, lobster bisque soup was delicious. Prime rib texture was extremely good but flavor wasnt amazing. Boursin filet was delicious. Cheese grits is an interesting side with a subtle flavor that was very good. Baked potato was decent but below expectation for such a high-end restaurant (I would have expected a seasoned crust or something else special). Very nice decoration and atmosphere - if you want to impress your girlfriend or your clients, take them here, but be aware that they may choose a $51 entree. You can eat cheaply if youre careful (prime rib was $18, which is very similar to Texas Roadhouse, for example). This brings me to my final point - if you are accustomed to Texas Roadhouse, it is hard to justify some of the much higher prices at places like this unless you get something really exotic.

Disclaimer -- Im not a chain kind of guy. I understand a lot of people like to eat what a lot of people like to eat, and a lot of people like to have a comfortable atmosphere, and theres a lot of trust in the name of a successful restaurant, that youll get a decent meal. But I dont buy it. All a chain is is a restaurant that is a good business. To be a successful chain, you dont have to have good food, only food that average people like. PEOPLE: STAND UP. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN LIKE. So heres Connors. Its not bad. I went here because a lot of friends wanted to go here. And I wanted to be with my friends. We had a good time, doing a dirty Santa thing, joshing about statistics, that sort of thing. And the food was good. And the service was good. They split our checks without whining. If you have to do a chain, do Surin of Thailand. Way better. There are now two of them in town. But I really recommend trying non-chain Phoenix Bistro just off downtown Huntsville. Food is far, far better for not much more money. rg

I went to dinner with a group from work on Tuesday night - November 3rd. I was with my boss and colleagues from Nienburg Germany and South Africa. I had the surf and turf - a 6 oz fillet with a half skewer of grilled shrimp on a bed of rice with the house salad and mashed potatoes. I want to say it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had!! The fillet was so magnificent I dont think I could get a better one in a dream! It was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and cut through with one draw of the knife! I wish I would have taken the time to thank the chef personally! Hopefully he or she sees this review! The shrimp were also excellent as was the salad and mashed potatoes. Let me also say the young lady that waited on us was very personable and full of knowledge about the menu and helped us decide on what to get. Connors is a special place to eat! Thanks for the awesome experience!

Absolutely one of the best examples of customer service Ive ever experienced. Not only is the food excellent, but the people and service is superb! I ordered a "chicken parmesan" dish. The description was a little vague in what it was, and I wasnt familiar with what it was. Ive never had it, so I had NO CLUE what to expect. After receiving it at my table, I picked through it, and didnt eat much chicken (my stomach cant handle much fried food). I requested a to-go box, and Lisa, the waitress came back to our table half way on her way to the kitchen, and asked "if there was something wrong with my meal." Im not one to complain, so I was just going to get something else at home or get my husband to eat it for left-overs. The manager came to our table and got a GRILLED chicken parmesan to-go for us, and I enjoyed it the next day, with a very happy, and not upset tummy! =) Will definitely be back!
