The food was good everything tasted great I was hesitant a little with the portion size of my chicken strips but they actually filled me up and I am 220 pounds but I also had a hammerhead beer which is pretty filling and a bowl of delicious potato and leek soup. My girlfriend had the Queen Ann I believe which is pesto and mozzarella with tomato and she really thought it was good. I would recommend this place.

I love McMenamins, but this location consistently has grumpy, slow service. Its amazing how much that takes away from a good beer and a good meal. They could also stand to add some more TVs as this area of town doesnt have a lot of sports bars, but people still want to watch while they eat. I used to be a regular, but I just cant handle the bad service anymore.

The food is good (Portland dip = the best) and the beers are good, but the service is definitely mediocre to awful depending on who you get. We consistently get a waitress who makes it no secret that she dislikes working there. It detracts from the experience to get such abrupt service.

Always a great place to grab a bite to eat with my dad(happens to be one close to where he lives). The atmosphere is layed-back and relaxing and as always, the food is delicious. I love going here when I have a craving for an damb good burger and tater tots.

Work across the street. Have been going to this location for years. Service is consistently exceptional. Food always tastes great. Hillsdale is my favorite McMenamins location mostly because of the people that work there though.

So unlike their other locations. This one seems to have been forgotten and left to rot until they close it down. Do yourself a favor and go to Raleigh Hills location , just a mile west. This place needs an update badly!

Ignore the last review. The interior is dated, likely on purpose. Every McMenamins has an eclectic feel and this establishment as well. If your a fan of the chain, stop in, it wont be regretted.

Im disappointed every time I come here. I decided not to come back after my last visit. I kept feeling like the waiter forgot I was there. It’s sad. I really wanted to like McMenamin’s.

This places biggest redeeming factor is that it was the first brew pub in Oregon. Which is awesome and historical. Too bad its crappy beer.
