Kids, much? I had a sucky evening with my husband at the Lucky Lab in Hillsdale. Weve been to the NW location which is far superior, and tried this out b/c its in our neighborhood. The first annoyance was that there were kids running around playing tag and duck duck goose at the commmunity tables- ugh. Second, we waited at the counter for 10 minutes just to order. Then we sat down, and the slices took another 15 minutes to get delivered to us. What? The pizzas were already ready when we ordered!! The pizza itself was fine, but you can get a slice of pizza anywhere, and we were looking for a chill hangout where we could relax and drink, not a trendy chuck-e-cheese.

First time here this evening and there seems to be a spread of reviews but I stand with those that find this place sub par. The pizza is mediocre and the beer is just ok. Could care less than I can park my dog and bike outside. Since when does ringing me up constitute a tip? Tired of this serve yourself attitude with the expectation of a tip - for Christmas sake, I have to bus my own table (including cleaning up the crumbs from the last bloke), fetch my own silver and condiments, and stand in line to place an order. Ill go the extra mile for my scmizza and boneyard.

Cool place and especially great chill spot to hit up during the summer time. Go inside (an old firehouse), make your order, and stake out your seat on one of the picnic benches out front of Lucky Lab. I dont have a dog, but they are extremely dog friendly, and most owners make sure their pet is well behaved here. The pizzas/salads are made to order (big fan of the Greek!) and get a pitcher of beer. Good food, good location, have had good service here. Its a step up from your regular chain pizza joints and a nice change of pace.

Nothing on Gods earth will make me return to this hell. Children screaming, vomiting, pissing themselves, etc all while inconsiderate parents sip on their wine ignoring the extreme chaos theyve forced unknowing diners to endure. The only thing worse than the shrieking from the kids was the ridiculously loud dissonant music the goth employee was playing. They only serve pizza, unlike the other lucky labs. Little parking. Not that this matters considering the above. Good Lord!

These people can make a great Za. My dad, brothers and I try and make it up here at least twice a month. What do they offer? Gourmet Pizza, Micro Brews, Darts and a large dinning area (outside and in). Prices are around $25 per pizza, but any pizza connoisseur will tell you, you get what you pay for when it comes to Great Pizza. They also offer lunch specials if dont feel like a whole pie. But then again, why not get the whole pie? Pizza is THE best leftover food out there.

When you look around at the artwork, you will see that this Lucky Lab location used to be a Freemasons lodge. The main room is spacious and the outdoor seating is ideal when the weather is nice. They serve pizza and beer, what more could you want?! They keep about 6 beers on tap plus a couple of ciders. It is so quick on and off the freeway that it makes for a perfect spot to meet a friend, have a beer and play some darts.

Lucky lab is a great restaurant to have in the village. The pizza and drinks are both great and the patio is large enough for groups of people on the gorgeous summer days in PDX. They have a very simple menu for the by the slice pizzas, but if you want to get more adventurous get a whole pizza. The crust is thick and very filling. 2 slices was enough to fill me up after an afternoon of digging in the yard.

I ordered over the Phone needing some assistance with what kind to order which they were not very helpful short and rude. I ended up with a chicken, garlic, onion pizza that had so much garlic and onion on it no one could eat it and the other Pizza had spicy sauce which they did not tell me it came with. Beer is warm as well ! Not pleased with overall experience for the expense for sure.

So, I was in a hurry today and ordered two slices of meat pizza - "not heated". After standing around a while one of the two girls loaded two slices of pizza in the oven. I reminded her that I wanted it "not heated". When I got home to stick it in the microwave, I had two pieces of vegetarian pizza, when I had ordered meat. GO SMOKE ANOTHER BOWL GIRLS!

Best beer and cider collection in the area! I can never decide, so I get a paddle sampler every time and never regret it. The pepperoni pizza is so consistently good that we must have have it at least 15 times in the past year. We can always find seating, and its cozy on the inside in the winter, and lovely outside at the picnic tables in the summer.

Outside seating was great, but the pizza was one of the worst pizzas Ive ever had. Very doughy and old. We ordered 2 pepperoni, 1 cheese, and 1 veggie slice. To bad, cause its a great location where we can take our dogs, but well never go back because of the aweful pizza. We could have saved money and gotten a better frozen pizza from the store.

I might be against the grain, but Im just not a fan. Been to Hawthorne, NW, and Multnomah Village locations - the beer is just ok compared to other offerings in town, and the pizza is not very good. Sure, theyre bike, animal, and family friendly with a neighborly vibe, but at the end of the day, the beers just ok, and the food is less than so.

To be honest I cant think of one good reason that this place is in business. The food is not good, and if you think it is then you may want to re-evaluate youre entire life. I can literally get better pizza at Fred Meyer, frozen. Salad was awful too. After several attempts at understanding this Portland Phenomenon, I will take a life long pass.

Love that I can bring my dog here. Hate how expensive it is. The food is mid level, the beer is over priced. It is pizza, come on. Really, I just like that I can bring my dog here. If I could take my dog other places with awesome patios I would probably stop coming here. But alas, I cant so I will keep coming back.

Delicious and thick whole pizzas or by the slice. Nice big salads - and lets not forget their beers! They usually have 8 or more beers on tap. Never had a bad one! Lots of outdoor seating. Parking can be a challenge but you wont have to walk too far if you end up at the lower lot of the community center.

Ive been routinely disappointed by this place. The beer is mediocre. The food is mediocre. The atmosphere is mediocre. The last time I was there we sat outside and had to lift our feet to avoid the rats. Altogether blah. Try Journeys instead for good beer, good food and a nicer, if cozier, atmosphere.

Lucky Lab has quickly become an after work go-to for my husband and I. Its just an easy place to grab a slice of pizza, salad, and a beer - and the quality of all three is consistently good. This location feels like an old schoolhouse, big and open. While I find it cozy, it does tend to be fairly noisy.
