nice enough restaurant but no one seemed to really know what was going on, they couldnt tell me whether their minestrone soup was chicken stock or veggie stock, maybe soups are purely chef- created but seems like there should be communication with the staff when the chef doesnt use a recipe as to what is in the soup (the soup was made the day before and that chef was off today). I had a couple dietary alterations (no tomato, no wheat) so I ordered this delicious hemp seed dish that I thought we agreed was going to come on a bed of salad since I couldnt eat the wheat pita, it came out with the pita and was full of tomatoes. I ordered fries for a side and I got tots. None of it was a major deal, but it all sort of added up - there were a few quick passing "Im sorry" by a couple employees (with the pita shell and tomato sitting off to the side) and I didnt complain but there was nothing compensated or offered (like the salad we originally discussed) and technically without the bread I didnt get much food. I was with friends who I was more interested in conversing with than dealing with food issues but it felt very disorganized, with no attention to detail. What I did eat was tasty but likely wont go back just due to the lack of attention to service. Place has potential if the front and back of the house communicate better

We tried to eat here, but didnt get to. We walked in and waited at the door for a minute. The place was busy, so understandable that a host may be seating someone else. Finally a few minutes later a lady walked up and asked how many. We told her two people. She said that the wait would be about 15 minutes, so we waited. About 25 minutes later she came back to us and told us that it would be about 5 more minutes before she could seat us. She also told us that once we are sat that we will have to wait at least 30 minutes to put an order for food in, because they arent taking food orders at the time. I am not sure what was going on that night, but I dont intend on visiting. We left immediately after she told us about the food wait. Even after initially waiting 25 minutes for a seat. I will say that the place looked like a very interactive place for the locals. That is about the only positive part of my experience.

The only reason it gets more than one star is that our server our most recent visit was awesome. She was the best weve ever had while going here, we hadnt seen her before, although it had been a few months since our last visit. Weve given this place a lot of chances over the last couple years. Like most McMenamins its slightly overpriced and the food is comfortable like you would expect. But it takes no shorter than 30 min and sometimes nearly 90min for the food to come out. Usually about an hour. The management here doesnt seem to care as this has been a consistent issue. Usually the service isnt all that great albeit there were a few exceptions. The most frustrating restaurant in Oregon City, I think the McMenamins brand is what keeps it afloat. If the food wasnt constantly a lifetime wait we probably would come back.

Came in and was helped by Shelbie, she was a bit snippy but we ordered our food at 215pm didnt get it until 255, not one time did she ask to refill water i had to ask her to (which came out warm with no ice), or tell us what the hold up was, then she brought out part of our order and said the rest would be a few minutes. Eventually we were all fed, never got more of our warm water again i wasnt asking twice. She disappeared for a while then came back reeking of cigarettes. Food was ok but not what i expect from a Mcmenamins. Considering i had to beg my husband to go, i dont think we will be back.

Stopped in for a bite with the family, wasnt disappointed! We sat ourselves upon entering and a server greated us immediately. My daughter had the potato leek soup, my son had the T.N.T box. Both said theyd have the dishes again. The hubby decided on a Seasonal IPA and the burger with a fried egg. I opted for the Aztec salad with Chicken and we shared. The burger was delicious, as always! We were both truly impressed with the salad; it was spot on! Before we left our daughter made sure to discreetly pick up some swag for Fathers day, staff was gracious and helpful.

Ive been visiting all the different locations to collect stamps, and while waiting on my lunch order that was to go a staff member said I couldnt have the stamp until I went 3 feet away and admired a mural on the wall. All guests need to look at the artwork and cant just have a stamp and leave. She said she saw that I was having a drink but they want more engagement from patrons. Im sorry I already saw the artwork why do I need to stand in front of it to get the stamp? Also I was waiting for my meal so I wasnt just in and out for a stamp if she had cared to ask.

Waited 2 hours for our food when told it would be 40 minutes. Service was not very attentive, food was lukewarm. I will not be back to this location, absolutely inconsistent with the companys brand image. Update: The manager comped us all our drinks and was very kind regarding our experience. I would have turned this to 4 stars if the server would have offered to do anything or get the manager after we expressed our displeasure. Thank you to the manager for making things right for us. Youve earned a second shot for sure.

McMenamins is a great deal, if you are strategic. Hit either Happy Hour (3-6 or 10-close). Service is slow during these times, but cheap prices make it worth the wait. $3 Hammerhead Garden Burger, $2 Brewers salad, $3.50 pint of McMenamins beer (or $2 PBR). Awesome price for dinner and a drink! The fries are always a little "floppy." Go for the Cajun (or regular) tater tots instead. This particular location ranks low among OTHER McMenamins as far as atmosphere and food selection are concerned.

The gyro was amazing! The beer smooth! The atmosphere is a bit chilly but relaxed. It takes place in a converted church. The staff was nice and helpful. The gyro was probably the best food Ive had this week of visiting. My only suggestion is if you get cold easily like me, to bring a sweatshirt. The terminator and black rabbit porter were the beers we had while there. The terminator mustard was good. Id suggest the tater tots over the fries.

One waiter and every table full. Two female staff stood in the bar area and talked the entire time, never once helping this poor guy. After an hour I asked about our food, it had been done at least half an hour has it was barely warm. I would have fired the two statues and given the waiter a raise. Been there 3 times, all three times the wait was terrible. Never again.
