So I go here despite the bad reviews I had read because my woman and I wanted to go someplace dog friendly. We sat outside where the server promptly filled the dog water bowl and took our drink orders. He continued to check on us, despite the inside dining area being pretty packed for a Saturday. I definitely give the service an A+++. The food came out surprisingly fast, under 15 minutes. I ordered the Blue velvet burger with salad and she had the Oaks Bottom burger with vegetarian chili. First off, let me say; Im not the biggest fan of salad however this was excellent. Thinly sliced red onions, dandelion leaves, fresh greens, It was good. The burger was ultimately the best burger Ive ever had, hands down. Perfectly sauted mushrooms, fresh bleu cheese, and a patty that was cooked to perfection with a delicious pretzel type bun. The patty had to have been an inch to an inch and a half thick, and weighed in at least 1/3 to 1/2 pound. The Oaks Bottom burger was good as well, and the vegetarian chili had the deliciousness and texture of authentic southwestern chili con carne. All and all, a most excellent dining experience. I had no qualms about tipping over 25%

This used to be one of my favorite haunts: good pub food and great selection of beers. Fortunately neither of those have changed. To my dismay, the service has become non-existent. This visit was the second in a row where my familys quick lunch took more than an hour. The server was disinterested and slow, took forever for drinks. We didnt see him once between when our food was delivered and when he brought the check (long after we were done and itching to go). No soda refill, totally forgot to bring our kids drink. The food itself took close to 25 minutes to come to our table after we ordered. I assume they went out and caught the fish themselves, because the place was pretty empty. I am sad to report this will likely be our last time visiting Oaks Bottom.

The location of Oaks Bottom Public House make it a great place to grab a meal/pint while exploring Sellwood. They have a diverse tap list, and a reasonable Happy Hour menu. Havent taken the chance to enjoy a full meal, but they have an interesting looking menu. They also have some lunch specials that look like theyd be good. Ill have to come back and explore. On the day I went things were a little hectic for the staff. Ive alway heard great things about Oaks Bottom, and think someone was just having an off day. Looking forward to going back and checking it all out again.

I guess this pub is our local; Im not much of a drinker, but I like the food. We went Wednesday night a couple weeks ago and were subjected to a group that belts out old traditional drinking songs, complete with beer mugs slammed on the tabletops in time to the music. In a performance setting it might be enjoyable, but when youre sitting in a small room trying to talk to your girlfriend or even just hear yourself think, its intolerable, and Im afraid theyre going to lose a few Wednesday night customers over this. I know they lost our Wednesday night trade.

I live in Sellwood and like this place only b/c it is reallly the only pub in Sellwood w/o any smoking. The wait staff is so crappy and rude though. I am young and very easy going but every time I go in there for grub and a beer they are so stupid. They wont wait on you if you do sit at the wrong table or happen to smile at them the wrong way. Too bad this place cant get over themselves b/c it really isnt that great they just have beer that is drinkable.

Love Oaks Bottom! But … what happened to the Hot Damn Burger? The Green Chile Burger is nice, but not a suitable substitute for the Hot Damn, especially when paired with the Dagda Red! Could you also get some Portland Ketchup to pair with some of the best fries in town? Excellent staff at the Bottom! Great food! And some of the best seasonal brews (and standard) around! Cant go wrong with the 8 Malty Nights on nitro!

One word: TOTCHOS! I always bring my younger family members here for a beer (great happy hour; afternoon and after 10pm) and totchos. This is by far the BEST bar food in town. It is easy to get sick of Lompac beers (with the exception of Proletariat Red) but luckily the guest taps are pretty good too. The service is hit or miss; we all have our bad days.

Nice beer and appetizers. I like this place in the summertime because of the BBQ. The Lompoc beer selection can be tiring after a while, but sometimes the guest taps are outstanding. The nachos made with tater tots are fun and filling. Good chili when its available. The service can be spotty and sometimes they are inattentive.

Thank you Lompoc for being in Sellwood! Its nice to have great beer that is easily filled in a growler! Oaks Bottom is great beer, good food, good people! The burgers always get thumbs up from my friends and I am in love with the veggie sandwich (with hummus and Swiss). The tatchos (tater tot nachos) are a guilty treat.

Eastside feastside. Oaks Bottom has great food, enough said. Everything is fresh and the waiters/waitresses are friendly. The inside seems a little crammed but the patio out back adds quite a bit more space to the joint. It has turned into one of my favorite meetings places for work and pleasure.

We lovingly call this place "Our Local" Its where we go when I dont want to cook. The food is always good. The atmosphere warm and friendly. Service is equally so. Burgers are excellent as are the salads and tots and beers. Were here nearly once a week with our 4 & 5 year olds. Its just a great place.

Weve eaten here many times and the food is always great. If you eat here on Fridays they have the best clam chowder. I also like their Oaks Bottom salad, though I wish they would make it with the goat cheese once again. That was the best! Highly recommend this place.

Food is solid. Location is convenient. It has a funky yet homey atmosphere, but man the waitstaff are borderline mean. Sorry to inconvenience you...youre sign does say "open", indicating youre at least semi OK with us coming in to way..

Been going here for a decade, I love it! Great beer and food, but I wish they had real fries - steak fries, not those flimsy soggy strands of potatoes. PDX is adverse to steak fries in local joints, you can only find them in chains.

Bad service. It was like I was inconveniencing the server. Hipster bad attitude, service & nothing above average bar food. Dont recommend. With there being so many great places to eat in this town.... .dont come here!!!!!!!

This is a great spot for really great and reasonably priced beer. The happy hour menu will allow you to eat and drink your fill without spending much at all. The staff is very attentive and kind.

Great Lompoc branch. Delicious burgers, great beer (list is one the short side) and the totchos are a must-try. They also recently expanded and are twice the size. Much roomier!
