The pizza we thought we ordered was completely smooshed into the right side of the box. As we tried to flatten and unfold it, we realized it wasnt the pizza we ordered after all. I called the store, explained the situation, and was told they would try to catch the driver and get the right pizza to us. He finally came back with the right one, and when we opened the box this pizza was completely smooshed into the right side of the box. I think they need to start carrying the pizzas in an upright, flat position, but Im no expert. You would think for a $30 pizza you would get something that doesnt look like a mangled Calzone. This is the last bad experience I am going to have with this Hot Lips. The completely incompetent staff dont give a damn about providing a quality product and good service.

The pizza is great but I dont recommend the delivery. My delivery took an 1 and 20 minutes. The driver had problems entering my building and by the time she got to my apartment she took her bad time out on me. And, then when I opened the box it was apparent that the pizza had been dropped in a puddle. The box was totally soaked and half the toppings had slid off into the corner. I took pictures. I’m not exaggerating. Half of the pizza didn’t even have cheese on it because it had slid off the other side of the box. Oh, and the crust was wet… soaking wet. I’m pretty sure the driver was having a bad day, dropped the pizza in the rain, and just didn’t care. I’ve never had a delivery go so wrong. But, the side of the pizza that wasn’t wet and still had toppings was delicious.

Ive tried all the Hot Lips pizza locations and this is the one that makes the best pizza, best ranch sauce, best garlic bread sticks. The ranch sauce at this place has a extra tangy garlic taste to it, so soooo good i love it!! versus the other location. Even if I have to travel far to go to this place, I am always satisfied with the friendly service and best food!! The best part is that the pizza crust is thin (NewYork style) and I feel good after eating versus the a typical pizza place with fat doughy pizza that makes you feel fatter than life. This place rocks!!

Great pizza! Deliveries! Music is all over the place and good. Kinda pricey but the ingredients are quality and diverse. Most of the time the service is great and you just grab the drink or salad you need. Hotlips uses a lot of local produce and bottles their own naturally sweetened sodas. If that doesnt make you feel good then the Awesome local beer selection will. Plus the beer and wine to go now... sometimes the beer is cheaper than it would be at a grocery store.

Savory slices! I love going to this place for a quick grab to eat and to try out their choices of slices that they have available. It is always nice that they rotate their specials on a daily basis (just wish it wasnt as consistent, but thats my opinion). Nonetheless, their pies are awesome, their customer service is spectacular, and the atmosphere is really cozy and opening. If youre a 107ist member, you may be able to save a few bucks on a slice too.

The service was quick and courteous, and the pizza exceeded expectations. Hot Lips seems to have an iconic seasoning they put on quite a few of their pizzas. Their daily specials never disappoint, and pepperoni is always a safe bet for meat eaters. There are also a number of vegetarian and vegan options. Great for those looking for a quick bite without the fast food feel. The outdoor seating in the back provides a quieter eating environment.

They make a variety of pizzas so that those who only eat certain food like vegans have more than just one plain vegetable pizza to choose from. They also carry a variety of NW drinks from microbrews to huckleberry soda. The slices are big, and the price low, so its definitely a great deal. If you show up 30 minutes or so before closing you can get special deals as they try to get rid of their food before it goes bad.

This is an excellent pizza place. I wouldnt say this is my favorite pizza, but considering its location and price, it does a very good job. The only complaint I have is that the slices are sort of thin, but overall? Very very good food. Recommend this to all of your PSU student peeps and more than likely they will have already enjoyed food there. Its a Portland State landmark.

Hotlips pioneered gourmet pizza in Portland way back in the 80s. Its pretty good place to grab a slice on the way someplace.Topping are always fresh and dough too. Gets a little pricey when ordering whole pizzas but your paying for high quality and freshness. Try the Hotlips own real fruit sodas, they are far superior than any commercial brand.

I always worry taking my parents random spots when they visit-I dont want them to hate the service, the selection, and end up with pleas for Olive Garden. Hot Lips was the biggest hit Ive seen-my parents loved the food, the employees were fantastic, and my mom was thrilled at how many affordable bottles of wine there were

Hot Lips pizza varies a lot. Im personally not much of a fan but i do like the pesto breadsticks. The best part about this place is the beer. Great selection and good prices. They also have a back patio which is pretty awesome! Prices are good and service is good. Not the best pizza but it is still a nice place.

The wifi was broke...but other than that the $5.50 meatball sub deal was pretty bomb! However the pizza was rather lack luster and seemed it had been sitting there for a couple of hours before it was heated up and served to us? Pizza seemed like it may have been decent however, would it have been fresh...

This was a very convenient place to stop for a slice of pizza and a glass of root beer. The pizza was good, thin-crust, and reasonably priced. I was able to eat it outside at a picnic table. It was convenient to Portland State University. I was traveling and had spent the day walking around Portland.

Big, appetizing, tasty slices. Very conveniently located for PSU students, who get a nice discount in the afternoon. I love that everything, the plate lining, your napkins, your straw, are compostable. It feels good not having to put anything at all in the trash at the end of your meal.

Bought some breadsticks near closing time and after I paid saw a worker throw it in the garbage then another say somebody bought one and them having quiet conversation about just warming it and acting like nothing happened ... right in front of me ! Disgusting ,cant trust , never again

Hot lips is excellent if youre just looking to get a slice or two. Plus, I LOVE their sodas. BUT, I ordered 2 whole pies once and almost died when I went to pay. It was SO expensive. I really dont think theyre worth the price for a whole pie. Stick to slices.

Four stars for fresh and awesome ingredients, good service, $2 beers, and fun building geometry. Ive never been huge on west-coast style pizza but for a place that always has two different vegan choices and kickass giant breadsticks, you can pick worse lunch.
