I stopped in here last night for the first time. The tables in the restaurant were full and there were several people sitting outside (and it was cold out). While my friend stood in line, I took a peek over in the bar and there was lots of seating. After about a 10-minute wait in line, we decided to order a "Portland" pizza: we often order stuff like that ironically just to see what we will get. We got a pitcher of Pabst (since it was going to be a Portland night) and took a seat in the depths of the Atlantis Lounge. I was surprised by the place: nice and dark with lots of wood panelling. It was pretty quiet except for a guy two tables over who talked incessantly to a young woman who was too attractive for him. At one point he told her "not to say absolutely ever again around him." Well, this is getting long winded . . . so, when the pizza came out it was fantastic. I may have just been overly hungry but it was better than anything Ive had at Apizza Scholls or Kens (my go to pizza place). The crust was ok, but everything else was delicious: house-made pesto sauce, whole milk mozzarella, roasted red pepper, spinach, red onion, and lots of sheep feta. I was glad I ordered the largest size: Im going to be having a slice or two for lunch the next couple days!

I hate anything gluten free or vegan. Ill never understand why, unless you had a specific food allergy, why youd ever eat anything gluten free. That said, if you have the allergy, gluten can make you really sick, which is why it is kinda awesome that Mississippi pizza goes out of their way to try and make something those sort of folks can eat, and enjoy. For the rest of us, a surprisingly good, and thankfully full of gluten, pizza. And yes, thankfully, they also have meat! Seriously, this is a great neighborhood pizza joint, outside seating, inside family friendly seating, and a really awesome bar tucked in the back. Often live music, which can make the place loud and crowded, but well enjoyed by the patrons. Decent beers to go with the pies, as well. As for the bar in back, its a cool spot if not super busy, but if busy, service due to its small size can be slower than watching dirt. SLOW. so be forewarned. Parking on Mississippi can at most times, be non existent, but for the bike friendly, youll be happy.

This place is a bit more hype than actual product for me. I usually peg this as a meeting spot during the summers Mississippi Street Fare. I think they have good pizza, but nothing too impressive. Portions are large. The pizzas are pre-made and you pick your slice, and they re-heat. I know this is generally the way things go, but I kinda dislike what is obviously reheated pizza (and paying good money for it). I have enjoyed their vegetarian pizza. They have a good amount of area and the attached room has AC (great for hot summers!) and is equipped for bands to play.

Came here for the GF pizza. The pizza was great and the atmosphere was nice. They had live music and multiple seating areas. I have Celiac Disease and they were tossing pizza with flour in the main room where you order. My eyes started itching and I was sneezing before we even sat down. Once I moved to the back room in the bar I felt better. They make their GF pizza in a separate area and I didnt get sick but it was difficult to be in the main area when I walked in. It would be nice if they could have the register away from the non GF pizza prep.

Seriously good food. The pizza is awesome, can be purchased either by the slice or a whole pizza available in several different sizes. Mississippi also has great gluten free pizza crust for people with gluten sensitivity, and it is better than traditional pizza crust from many other pizza joints. The salad is also dynamite, and one of my wifes favorite salads anywhere. The building has outdoor seating for nice weather and the inside a neat and comfortable atmosphere. Check out the events they host too.

Music venue: generally full house for most weekend shows but its just the right size for traveling bands coming through. There is a back area bar on those nights so you can get good cocktails and service throughout. Doesnt share space with the pizza dining area which is nice to keep disruptions down. Small stage area so for bands with lots of instruments and for changeups, there is an awkwards shuffling of gear from the closet but other than that, love it here. Seen many a great performance

Pizzia really good. Pizzia a 5, staff a 1. The guy behind the counter is rude and has the personality of walking dead. Ordered a couple of slices and a drink. Charges full price when theres a lunch special for it. When I see the special on the board, bring it to his attention, he just stared at us and then finally says thats not what you asked for. I ask him whats the special, he responds any 2 slices and a drink. Good pizzia brain dead staff. Make sure they charge you correctly

Went to Mississippi Pizza to meet up with some friends. I got a veggie pizza slice which looked absolutely delicious. However, I felt that it lacked a little flavor. That being said, it wasnt bad. The crust was the perfect balance of soft and crispy. And I enjoyed the ambience. My friends and I sat in the back lounge area which had its own bar. Ill probably come in again - its a favorite spot for my friend group - but I just wont order the veggie pizza.

This is one of our favorite places to grab pizza. We even pick up pizza crust to-go so we can make our own pizza at home. Mississippi pizza is a real chill spot, the food doesnt take long, the prices are reasonable and the bar in the back is cool too with great cocktails. I love that they have Anchor steam on tap, for some reason Anchor isnt super easy to find on draft around the city. The vegan pizza is delightful as well and I am not even vegan.

This place has a good selection of pizza that they serve all the way up until closing, but thats not the real reason to go. Theres so many amazing events at the Atlantis Lounge from the Baby Ketten Karaoke night to Quiz night. Sometimes Ill be walking home exhausted from a long day and hear some rousing music from down the street and I know that Ill feel better going, ordering a slice and a beer and listening to some amazing new band playing.

I have a couple of gluten free pizza places I love here in Iowa, but this place blew them out of the water. I had the fremont and it had the tastiest crust the best ingredients and I had a cider with it. This was an amazing experience for me and if I move to Portland, which now I really want to, I will be a regular at this place. Oh yeah they offer their gluten free dough to go in case you want to make your own at home.

Wicked good pizza, beer, and shows and events almost every night. They are often on the portland mercury editors choice list for concerts and are host to the monthly epic Hungry Hungry Hip Hop. Beautifully lit outdoor seating lounge. Illustrious atmosphere in the restaurant and venue. Grab a brew with your flaky hand tossed pizza pie or head back to the secluded bar room for a smokey low lit experience.
