From my first to my most recent visit, the staff, atmosphere, service, and most importantly, the product have been STELLAR!! The quality and freshness of every pizza and each topping has a consistency of excellence; the salads are exquisite, and the daily happy hour "Beer Pint and Slice", or "Glass of Wine and Slice" is a good value. I like the prices, considering that Im confident in what Im eating, and the satisfaction of every bite and sip! The music is always one of my favorite things about being there, and generally, the volume is set at a good level for keeping conversations personal, without having to shout, even when it gets very busy. The music is sometimes alternative, progressive, and folk/blues mix, plus more, which is adventurous and up-beat, or otherwise, playful to contemplative... often leading me to new interests in musical variety. The "crew", whom I wont mention by name, for privacy/respect, are especially awesome bunch of individually awesome people, whose commitment to "top-notch" food product and service is just remarkable, and the hospitality/friendliness of everyone is a very important reason why I have made this my one and only Pizza stop.... Thanks for making it so, you guys REALLY ROCK!!! Heavy Volume output, with grace under pressure... Ill miss the former Manager, and the current Manager is a great asset, clearly. Thanks Pizzicato, for making it all happen. Ill vote you number one, anytime!! ~Jimmy

Everyone that works here at the PSU location seems so stressed out! I feel bad for them! It also makes it unpleasant to stay there to eat, I recommend take-out. They make amazing salads and pizza. Im sure everything is great. And they take great care with everything. I ask for no onions in my salad, and they never forget these kinds of details. Still, I dont come here very often since they seem stressed and arent friendly. I was waiting for my salad one day and the guy next to me was waiting for a slice of pizza. Hed misread the signs (which are kind of confusing), and asked for a type of bread instead of pizza apparently. When he expressed confusion, they explained it to him, but made him feel bad about it and had him pay the extra for the pizza. He looked embarrassed. I understand having him pay the difference, since it cost more, but it could have been handled in a less awkward way. So, if youre looking for great food, this is the place. If youre looking for a place to hang out with your great food, Id go elsewhere (Hot Lips is better for this, as far as pizza places around PSU).

I am wondering perhaps if my experience was simply an anomaly, but the pizza I had at Pizzicato today was the most disappointing I have ever tasted. Mostly because it didnt really taste of anything, unless you count "greasy" as a flavor. The cheese, sauce, and crust all lacked any definition in the taste department. The crust was astonishingly thin, too (it was impossible to lift the slice without it drooping downward; it would probably have torn apart if Id tried that for more than a second!). On the plus side, the service was good, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the actual pizza left a great deal to be desired. And quite frankly, with the wealth of pizza options here in Portland, thats downright astonishing. Im hoping that my experience was genuinely an outlier.

These days, I seem to take for granted the fact that my work provides a meal to me daily. When this wasnt the case, Pizzicato was a frequent haunt of mine. If youre on a time crunch and looking for some delicious nosh, stop in. Theyve always got a pizza of the month, I am fairly certain they offer gluten-free options as well as salads and appetizers (i.e. bruschetta), tea and beer. Bonus: if youre a regular, get one of their punch cards so you can "save up" for a free slice or salad down the road. My favorite (non-food-related) bit: the bar seating right against the window. Watch the mini-hustle of Portlands streets go by as you enjoy your slice.

Just came here because it was so close to the bus stop and wanted to grab some good while I waited to meet a friend downtown. Asked the redhead for directions and she was really bitchy about it and didnt even actually give me directions. She could have just said she didnt know! Jesus Christ! My first time not tipping even for a dinky job like putting a slice of pizza in a toaster. The pizza was reallll good despite the fact that she probably spit in it. Wont come here again & not because of the food.

Solid place if you are in the are, but not really worth trekking out to. Standard pizzicato fare. I do love their caesar salads--just tons of lettuce, cheese, super garlicky dressing, and wonderfully large, toasted "crutons." Tasty pizzas. Hits the spot for me when Im looking for a salad fix. Lines can be gone during lunch here, so try to go off peak hours, otherwise staff are helpful and this is a solid place to get a meal in the area.

Man, I didnt know pizza could be this bad. Im sorry guys, the cheapest frozen pizza tastes better to me. My office caters this dog food in every week. Maybe when its catered in such quantity the quality goes down? But ffs, its pizza. Why does it taste like chewy tree bark with burnt plastic on it?

The pizza is tasty (nice thin crust) and the Portobello panini is incredibly delicious. Just be careful to avoid the crowd of St Marys students that flood in at noon during the week when school is in session. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite pizza joints in town, rivaled only by Hot Lips and Sizzle Pie. Great place to grab a slice and a pint for lunch. Gets pretty busy on weekdays due to the proximity to PSU, but its rarely too packed to have a long wait.

Very good pizza for a pretty good price. Breadsticks are very good too. When ordering, there is a pole right in the middle of the line which for the life of me, I can never get over. Its annoying! Friendly staff for the most part.

This was a pretty cool restaurant. For some reason i had never been until recently, I thought it was fast food. I had the Margherita pizza. It was tasty. My dinner mate had a salad and it looked delish. Ill b stopping by again :)

Right near PSU and right off the streetcar line. If you just want pizza by the slice theyve got it! The best deal is their happy hour pizza and a beer. Cant beat it. There is also really reliable free WiFi too!

Decent flat pizza for a fair price. Of note is that a majority of their pizza is gluten free. Theyre fairly quick too, so if youre looking to grab something and go to class at PSU, its feasible.

Pizza is OK, service at the counter is slow af. Live is several deep and the one cashier is filling waters that could have been done by the customer while another guy drums on some dough.

Pizza is delicious. Sometimes wish they offered fewer toppings on their specials so you could taste all the ingredients. Salads are big portions. Roasted turkey sandwich is my favorite.

Half off pitchers of beer on Wednesday! Great (or bad) way to study for exams, work on group projects, or wait for your next class. Tasty slices and selection of bottled teas as well.
