Food and service was excellent. Went at lunch during restaurant week and ate off the price fixe menu which was a great value - appetizer, entree and dessert for $29USD. Server was very accommodating as the menu is in French with English descriptions but often times included complex cooking terms. This is definitely not some where to go for a quick bite or is it somewhere to go if you are looking for something inexpensive. The decor is absolutely beautiful with the marble and the high end fixtures. If you are looking for a high-end meal then this would be a great option. Gluten free options but not gluten free. Bathrooms are gender neutral.

Damn, Michael White, you know how to treat a gal. I had an excellent dinner. The food was stunningly beautiful, rich, complex and flavorful. The Camembert potato tart with caramelized onions, black truffles, and lardons = gorgeous! The pasta with crab and brussel sprouts in curry cream sauce sounded like an odd combination of flavors, but it was really good. Totally worked. I had perfectly seared scallops with sunchokes, sorrel in a brown butter consomme. For dessert I had the lemon torte with raspberries, a classic combo. This is a great place for special occasion or a neighborhood joint if youve got plenty of cash.

Tried to call and make a reservation and spoke with Annie. When I tried to explain the special occasion she kept interrupting me with an attitude. I asked to speak with a manager and automatically said he wasnt available like it was rehearsed. When she asked to leave a message I started explaining and then she started laughing at me when I was trying to say the message, kept interrupting me and talking over me and then would laugh and it was VERY RUDE. I wanted to dine here for a business dinner but I wont be anymore with getting a glimpse at how rude the staff is apparently.

We chose the new Vaucluse, a close neighborhood destination, to celebrate a very important family birthday. There were all ages at the table...from 14 to 85...and it was a wonderful experience for all. The management staff was especially responsive to our diverse wants and needs...and best of all, the food was absolutely outstanding! Not to mention the exquisite Champagne toast sent by our family in Hong Kong. Everything ran very smoothly. We give it 5 stars, and plan to visit often.

Wow, thank you Vaucluse for a wonderful meal. I dont even know where to start. They seen to really get that dining is about the whole experience- the ambience, decor, waiters, food presentation and taste. And they nailed all of that to a tee! We went during the French Restaurant week and I was very pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes of the dishes in addition to its fresh taste. We didnt feel rushed at all, and yet didnt feel forgotten or overlooked. The perfect balance!

Great setting with service to match. One of the few NY places I have been where service is done properly. The starter of squid stuffed with lobster and rice was very good, the tomato sauce was delicious and full of flavor. No complaints over the monkfish and rice main, however the dish lacked something a solitary leek I found hiding seemed lonely and didnt quite cut it. Dessert certainly finished the meal on a high, the chocolate with the expresso ice cream was divine!

Absolute deliciousness with service to perfection. We were treated like queens. All of the food was well prepared, we opted for the prix fixe. The lobster salad and foie gras were great starters and the suckling pig and wagyu beef were completely flavorful. Vaucluse has become one of New Yorks great restaurants. Its gorgeous and the menu is terrific. But whats happened in the year or so since it opened is that staff has matured and settled into a personality and pace. The room was always comfortable but the opening hysteria has passed........thank goodness. Bravo to Rocky.

Fancy restaurant with very small bar. Pretty expensive but had a great range of cocktails and wine. They have a happy hour at the bar only but you have to ask for the menu. Even if you order a happy hour item you will be charged full price if you dont mention happy hour. Also ate here and the food and service were amazing

I was recently a walk in for a Sunday brunch with a small group. Aside from the food, I have to say the service was great and the staff was super accommodating, which made the experience that much better. I would come back again for the bread alone! It was all delicious!
