First off, this is definitely my new favorite speak easy (if you can call it that). I went in last Friday evening with my boyfriend for dinner at CPK and then finished it up with a couple of rounds at Handys Liquor Bar below. First off, I loved the juxtaposition of CPKs cozy, farmhouse vibe against the supple, leathery downstairs of Handys! The fireplace, the dark wood, the lighting - it was all moody and rich and fantastic. The drink menu and cocktails were brilliant, the bartenders knowledgeable and fun; overall, it was an amazing evening all around. I will definitely be returning and bringing my friends! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up here!

Great ambiance to have an intimate date or small gathering---fireplace to gather around, piano in the corner for live music, jukebox in the back and leather chairs all around. Very old school which I love. Just be sure to head there early if you want to grab prime seating because this place does get packed. It is a bit pricey but standard for Manhattan cocktail prices. Will definitely go back.

Im from out of state and happened to find this place while visiting the city. Its been a few weeks and I still cant stop thinking about it. The ambience was incredible. The drinks were outrageously delicious. The staff was incredibly charismatic, friendly, and accommodating (shout out to Kourtney!) I highly recommend to all. Cant wait to return!

I had a great time in this downstairs lounge after eating at chalkpoint kitchen. The staff here is great. We sat at the bar and were given several free drinks. My favorite drink was the old old hickory , which has bourbon, maple syrup, and walnut oil in it.

Great cocktails in a fun, subterranean space. They have a great playlist, table games and a small snack menu. If you get there early enough, its not hard to get a table but it does get pretty crowded as the night progresses.
