We saw Taxman on Channel 13 news and decided to give it a try after it seemed like a good place. Nice environment, rustic with old exposed wood and the place seemed clean All 3 of us ordered the "classique" burger 2 medium well and 1 well with cheese only. After bringing out the food the waiter realized the well done burger had no cheese and took it away to have them "melt some cheese on it real quick". In the meantime, we proceeded to start eating. Almost 10 minutes later he shows up with what appears to be another burger that had been recooked this time with cheese. At this point, we were almost done eating and had wished he never took the burger back at all. Especially had we known he was going to have another burger re-cooked and we would have to wait 10 minutes. My girlfriend was disappointed to find out after waiting the burger was not cooked well done but more like medium. The large basket of fries that were actually more like a small order were crunchy and tasty but cold. The farmhouse ale was okay if it wasnt for the infestation of gnats that kept flying around my mouth every time I was trying to take a sip. The waiter apologized for the experience with our burger and said he would talk to managment and discount our check. Of course after getting our check he forgot to do that.. After that experience you would think he would not forget to give us a discount.. right??? 50 something bucks for 3 burgers, 1 beer, 2 cokes, and a large (small) order of fries, and NO discount..... I wont be back.....Sorry... but of course Im not the one that supposed to be apologizing.

Edit: 11/6/16 Tried this place again. Waited 40 minutes for food and it was cold. This place isnt busy enough to have cold slow food. I and the 2 new people i brought have wrote this place off. I really want to love this quaint brewery. It has the antique industrial look inside. And a small patio area. It is located in the tiny town of bargersville near the grain elevator. The food is innovative though not bad never really hit the mark. Maybe just too eager for the aoilis then my liking. Plus when you do go back they have changed something on the meal you had before. The service is slow but has gotten better. Sat at the bar once and while the waitresses were nice the kitchen staff was griping and complaining about everything to whoever past. Seriously complained about where the napkins where and should be. That negativity wore off as the waitresses would be friendly till they got harrassed by the kitchen. The beer selection is good with a few guest taps. Their beers run the gamut of a light. Lager to a imperial stout. The theme is the slight dirty water flavor in all. Not enough to make the beer undrinkable but enough that none were my favorite or wanted to fill a growler with. I still have hope as they grow they fix these problems.

This place is GREAT! Its my watering hole on the weekends. Great menu, great beer, and great service! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about their beers! Plus they carry outside taps and not just their own. They support the local brewing community, its pretty awesome. I have to give props to one staff member in particular. His name is Jack. He always takes the time out to come say hi even if hes not our waiter or bartender for the time we are there. The guy really knows his beers and is always in good spirits while at work. This place is great. I will returning for a long time. I recommend this place to anyone. Great atmosphere and beer! 5 stars indeed.

Heard good things and found good things. Not disappointed in our 45 minute drive to get here. Theyve put a lot of time and money into this place and it was much more than I imagined it being. Place was really busy, but we were seated in a reasonable time considering. They had several beers on including a few guest lines. The two beers I had I thought were solid and I believe the others in my party were happy with their choices as well. The food was also very good however we did have to wait close to an hour to be served our entrées. Overall the food was decent, but for the price point I think it could use a little improvement. We will certainly be back though.

Terrible menu for a bar. Didnt try the beer because we brought out child with us for what we were hoping would be a short trip. It took approx. 40+ minutes for our food to come out, after ordering. The service was terrible. The music was to loud and customers were having to scream at each other just to hear the person next to them. We ate quickly, didnt speak during our meal(because you couldnt even hear) and left! We live down the street and would love to have someplace close to home to eat, but THIS IS NOT IT! I would never recommend Taxman.

I really dont like this place. I live down the street and when they have "events" they shut down the road leading to my house. There is an alley I can go down. But after a long day at work, I just want to go home and relax, not make a detour around to get home and then instead of relaxing, have to chase people out of the Tenant parking lot (Which there are signs) and then hear loud obnoxious music while Im trying to relax. Grant it, I have not been there to try the food or anything, but this is enough to keep me from visiting the place.

I know theyre a brewery, but I love their food. Its all locally sourced and its just incredible. The burgers dont need ketchup, just the delicious classic aoli and your set. The fries are just as amazing with a side of the aoli as a dipping sauce. I havent had a sauce I havent liked. I even like the the spicy ones even though I cant tolerate spicy foods. Absolutely delicious. And even though I dont drink, my boyfriend is also in love with the beer! So no matter what, you cant go wrong at this amazing establishment!

Worst expensive meal Ive ever had. I just left & Im still hungry. The portions are tiny. The selection is very limited. The kitchen refuses to make any substations or accommodations. No bread or salad with dinner. Just an all around terrible meal. I will never go back (unless they get an entirely new menu!). Which is unfortunate because I enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice outdoor patio. The building is decorated very industrial, rustic, & spooky – neat!

Nice place out in the middle of nowhere. Beer selection is varied, but wine selection is limited. Lack a sweet wine selection unless you want a fruit wine. Staff is engaging and very friendly. Appetizers are priced right, but entrees are overpriced. Pork belly is very yummy, but maybe a 4-5 oz portion and a small amount of noodles for $16. The green curry in the dish gives it a nice kick. Steph is awesome at what she does.

Worst food ever. I cant recall a time I didnt finish my food even if it wasnt the greatest food Ive had but I can say I did not finish the blue cheese burger. The cheese and steak fries had steak so rare it was basically raw. The pulled chicken sandwhich my wife had couldnt hold a candle to the worst fair pulled pork chicken sandwich. Very disappointed. Only thing this place has going is the atmosphere and beer.
