Looking for your fix of Barbecue? Well Bear Down is the place to go! Im a favorite of the Pull Pork sandwich! Its amazing with Cole slaw on top!!! From the family oriented atmosphere to the great food and service they provide. Bear Down is hands down my pick for some great Barbecue in the Chicagoland area. If you havent tried it yet, you are missing out!! Get in there and BEAR DOWN!!!

Excellent food! Owners were the most welcoming people and you could tell they enjoyed this place and its food. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and the chopped beef sandwich, both were excellent. Sauce is sweet but not too sweet and has just the right amount of heat. Thank you, we will be regulars, cant wait to try the brisket on Saturdays!

Best bbq around!!! Everything on the menu tastes amazing. I have had burgers,smoked polish, pulled pork, chopped beef, smoked turkey, and the ribs. They are all great choices, but the ribs are the best in my opinion. The service is also outstanding. Everyone is extremely polite and welcoming. I highly recommend bear down bbq

I expected pulled pork to be tender, and have a smokey flavor but it was the complete opposite. When I walked in to order, there were two kids about 10 or 11 that just stared at me. Finelly after 5 minutes a grown up comes and ask to take my order. The kids know how to ring up and use the credit card machine.

The meet was very tender and full of flavor. Service was excellent and extremely friendly. Very interesting decor with lots of Chicago Bears memorabilia. Excellent dining experience, with ample parking in the lot. We took advantage of the lunch special with a excellent from side, with the à la cart menu.

My son had the pull pork it was good drove all way from the city only to be told No ribs, no brisket very disappointed that i didnt get any ribs or brisket it was only 5pm on Sat. if you are open till 8 cook more, but my son enjoy the pull pork 4 star for taste on pork but no ribs at rib place

I dont eat red meat so I didnt think thered be a lot for me to choose from, but the smoked turkey is sooooo juicy and delicious! The potato salad, coleslaw, and cowboy beans were so good my 5 year old tried them and liked them (she usually hates slaw and potato salad). I will be back!

Amazing BBQ tried the baby back ribs. Meat falls off the bone has a great Smokey flavor. Kids said it is spicy told them they will get use to it. Also tried the rib tips super tender not fatty. Definitely would go back. I recommend you phone first because they run out of food.

First off the price 12.99 for a large tip was very expensive for what you get they do not give you french fries with Your order the sauce was very unenjoyable second the sides were ridiculous the portions and the taste wasnt so good. Would I go back NO. Back to EXSENATORS.

I have always been a fan of smoky barque for pulled pork. Thought I would try this place and OMG. What a phenomenal experience. Huge chunks of pork on my sandwich and very well seasoned and I will go nowhere else but here from now on. Awesome awesome food.

The beef sandwich is nothing short of amazing. Its always hard as someone who doesnt eat pork to find good beef barbecue. Nowhere in the Chicagoland are have I found a more authentic barbecue restaurant. Definitely recommend for lunch or for a party.

Ribs and sauce were really good, and most importantly the service was excellent. I have to come back to try the tips. Dont forget to call ahead of time to order, otherwise they may be out, because everything is made fresh daily.

best place.... if you are a true barbecue lover you will love this place try everything...! I kid you not... this is legit smoked southern style. the dry rub was amazing. make sure to order your sauce on the side.

Rib tips were a bit greasy and fatty. The sauce and Brisket was GREAT! The sausage was great too. Hate I spent so much money to get tips and did not eat them. But I would return for the brisket.
