I came here for breakfast on a Monday morning with a friend. If youre ever going to go to Sunny Side, the time to go is on a weekday. Weekends are always extremely crowded, and if you have to wait, I dont know if its worth it. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict and my friend had the Alameda. My eggs benedict had perfectly poached eggs and just the right amount of hollandaise. The home fries that came with my breakfast were also delicious. Crispy, herby, and melty potatoes. But the real winner of the breakfast was my friends Alameda. The Alameda has mushrooms and (was it bacon?) stuffed in to pieces of french toast with sunny side eggs on top with some hollandaise. It was decadent and delicious. A nice balance of salty and sweet. So if breakfast was so delicious and the ambience was nice (we sat downstairs in a booth, but the upstairs also looked quite nice), why only give Sunny Side 4 stars? It was a little pricey (for a college student), but the real reason is it just isnt my favorite breakfast that I had. Its definitely worth another go though, so you will definitely find me there at some other time.

So worth the extra few dollars youll spend here vs elsewhere. Service was exceptional. We were constantly checked on and catered to. Food was great. The house coffee, Peruvian Organic, was incredible. My wife couldnt keep her hands off me after she drank that coffee. I have been trying to buy some online but cannot find it... Will be back and will be sure to get exact brand of coffee. Meow meow.

The food is good here...The service is heterogeneous. Theres one server who is the sweetest and one is pretty surly. Whats funny is that I saw a lot of smiles come out when there were customers of lets say a certain more privileged ethnicity. Its very convenient but if youre looking for breakfast I suggest the bagel cafe (sweetest owners ever) or Nefeli on Euclid.

Food was great!! Eggs benedict was super good and so were the pigs-in-a-blanket. Service was a little slow since there were only two waitresses. Its got cute, cozy seating which makes it a great place for breakfast or brunch! Just keep in mind that it might take a while for someone to notice you.

Come for the delicious, imaginative cocktails, stay for the chicken tikka masala pizza. Seriously, its just what the doctor ordered after a night out. The outdoor seating they added last year made it a lot easier ti get a table, too.

Absolutely delicious, the interior is beautiful for such a small place. Very nice place to enjoy breakfast and people-watch people on the street. Very friendly employees and cozy place, they also speak Spanish

Omg try the Benedicts. They have one with garlic tomatoes and mushrooms that is to die for. The coffee is pretty awful and the service is highly variable but those eggs make it all worth it.

This is definitely my favorite place for brunch in downtown Berkeley. The people are really friendly, the place is comfortable, and the omelettes are fantastic.
