I ate here dine-in once and ordered take-out once. Both were horrible experiences. The first time that I went I had already read some horrible reviews and chose to ignore them. I figured Id try it for myself and see. When I got there, it wasnt busy at all, but I had to wait a good 20 minutes before someone actually sat me at a table. The staff seemed to be moving in slow motion and acted as if they hated their jobs. After I got my table, I ordered coffee, which was brought 10 minutes after I ordered it. I decided to go with the steak omelet, which was actually incredibly delicious. Everything in it was delicious including the steak. I was happy with the omelet, but the waitress never came back to my table. I eventually just got my stuff and walked over to the register and waited for another five minutes before I could flag down the waitress to pay for my check. The second time I ate there, I decided to order for pickup. I ordered the same thing that I got the last time the over-priced steak omelet. They said he would be ready in 10 minutes and that they were not busy. When I showed up, they were right, they were not busy, but it took 45 minutes for them to have my order ready. I was so angry. I left it immediately after I paid the incredibly rude cashier. When I got home and opened my bag I realized that they had only put the omelet in and absolutely nothing else. The hash browns the ketchup or utensils, just a box with an ice-cold omelet. I will never ever go back to this restaurant ever again. This place is for people who just dont know any better.

Well, Ive had two experiences with this IHOP. I like to see myself as fair and just, but this place had some of the worst food and service Ive seen. First, the food. My friends and I ordered some waffles, French toast, and something else I dont recall. What we received was undercooked, and we were sick the next day. The server that night was a decent guy, but he was overworked, filling in for a coworker who didnt show up. The guy was severely lacking sleep or even a break. The second time was this morning. My dad decided we should go out for breakfast, and we called IHOP ahead of time. It is Black Friday, and the man on the phone said the place was empty. So we hurried down, and to our surprise, the restraint was packed. He lied. So yeah. Tl;dr horrible service, liars, and uncooked food.

This IHOP use to be good especially in the mornings... I havent been able to make it in the mornings lately, so I along with my family have attended a couple of evening shifts and unfortunately to our surprise our visit altogether was just awful! The service was less then desirable accompanied by an attitude, the kitchen was filthy when we walked by and the bathroom was just nasty. I remember waking into this restaurant receiving service with a smile and great food but my family and I were completely disappointed this last visit so much so... We didnt even partake in our food!!! AM shift might be their only hope to win me back if I give that chance... Good Luck People!

We were seated very quickly server was nice but very limited English food was good hot n cooked but server never came back to table to ask if we wanted refills or anything else just to give us the bill then got upset when I paid with gift cards called manager as he did not know I guess how to ring it up and talk bad about me in spanish which I understood and thru cards in a plastic box by resister he got attitudeish at the end and dunno why as the place was empty just my friend and I and one more person was in there I will go back again but the servers need to learn how to ring up gift cards

The last few times I went for breakfast here, I was extremely disappointed. Food quality has noticeably gone down over the last few years, and especially considering that, the portions were very small for the price. Tables were not well-stocked, and even though it was slow, the booth where I was sat was not cleaned well. If you want a good breakfast in Oakland at a fair price, I suggest skipping IHOP and going to Emerybay Cafe or Buttercup Grill instead. Both are locally-owned with way better service, food quality, prices, atmosphere, and portions.

went there at night close to closing time, the food was not good and bad service, the crepes were hard and burned, crepe was bathed in Nutella so much it was ruined, finished my drink and before the food and the server never offered me a new drink even after food, had to get up to ask the girl for the ketchup. server was too busy in the back chatting with coworkers, I had to get up again to ask her for the bill. bad service bad experience I dont think Im coming here again. I rather go to Hayward IHOP

Good, Friendly Place for Brekkie and More A large group of us (8) came to IHOP for breakfast together on a Sunday morning. Service was friendly and satisfactory. Food was comforting and delicious. Pancakes were fluffy; overeasy eggs were done just right; bacon was crispy; hashbrowns were fluffy and crispy. Ham was a bit on the hard side but acceptable. Coffee tastes a bit watered down. Other than that, we were quite happy. About $90++ (before tips) for 8 pax. Quite reasonable.

I didnt have bad experience here, however, the setting was not appealing. My servers nose was running and she didnt even know that she had a drip, the rest of the staff was very unkempt and the ambiance just felt dirty. The manager was very clean cut and neat, but again the staff was very wrinkled and unpleasant to look at. I could not wait to get out of there, I didnt even eat my whole meal! Im never coming back!

Worst service. Everytime I come here something goes wrong. Ive seen other customers have a bad time as well. Im a good customer here, the morning staff is superb but anytime after 2pm you get the rude, slow, loud staff that will get your order wrong, and if you call them on it, theyre going to be super rude to you.

My server, David Scott was very patience and hard working, the cooks in the kitchen didnt prepare our meals on one ticket the food came out at different times and as a server I know that was the cooks and not the server. I love International House of Pancakes and will return!!!

Only 3 tables with people at them took 25 minutes to get my drink order. Then 28 minutes later I got a portion of my order . 10 minutes later my wife got her food which was cold and the wrong order. Yes the place is clean the server polite but still bad service and wrong food.

Service wasnt bad but the food took a while to come to the table and when I got it, it was cold, the bacon looked uncooked, hash browns were burned and the eggs very runny, and to top it up the pancakes were also cold and uncooked in the middle.

I came here 5/30/14 for breakfast. I had exelent service, dint have a problem. Very well organized it really shows how grate a team they are. Food was grate.server was very friendly. Out of all ihop Ive been to this one really is far the best!
