Similar menu and pricing to Pappys. The similarities end there. Two incredibly watery sauces. Both seemed to taste like red peppers. I had the turkey. My dad had the ribs. The ribs were large with a lot of fall off the bone meat. Turkey had some spice to it but was very good. We both noted a lack of any smoke flavor at all though. Turkey just tasted spicy...not smoked. Sides were different. The baked beans were a bean medley so it was a little shocking at first. The flavor was pretty good though. Slaw was vinegary and my dad said it was good but not great. Ordered fries as a side for one of us and was really surprised to get charged extra for them. I cant imagine why that is. They only have a handful of sides that dont come with an upcharge. Homemade chips were the best part and I would definitely get that side again if we come back. For the extra money, the fries werent anything to get excited about. Bottom line, if youre in the area and could go for a good turkey sandwich or some ribs, make the stop. But if youre going here to avoid the drive and a line at pappys you will be disappointed. For 30$ for the two of us with one drink, Ill head across the river next time.

Spectacular! Barbeque done right! Pulled pork - perfect. Barbeque beans - excellent. Cole slaw - wonderful. Only 2 sauces but they were both fantastic and did not overwhelm the meat. Small place, very clean, nice atmosphere, great service, friendly people. This one zooms right to the top of my barbeque list. And they know enough to serve Coca-Cola products - which everyone should know by now goes much better with really good food like this. Also available; ribs, chicken, turkey, beef, beer, and wine (pork steaks too, if youre so inclined). I wish I lived closer so I could go back more often - but I will be going back as often as I can when Im in this area. Its the best choice by far.

We are BBQ lovers, and were in town and found Hicks BBQ. The BBQ sandwich with slaw was DELISH!!! Great tasting pulled pork and the sauces were good as well, and had a side of potato salad which was great, and the white cheddar bacon mac and cheese was out of the world good!!!! This was a very nice experience!!!! Highly recommended!!!

The best BBQ in Belleville! Large helpings and great sides! The only downside is the dining room is small and the smoke smell is very strong. Do not wear a jacket in or clothes that you dont want to have to wash when you get home. Even with this, I highly recommend Hicks if youre in the mood for BBQ.

The food quality for the price was poor there is an up charge for French fries and dont ask for warm sauce that is an issue . There was one waitress that was combative and rude because we states the food was not hot and there was no one else in the restraunt. You can fix a better meal st home

Thought this place was very tasty! Excellent portions and delicious sides! Downside is that the onion rings tasted a little too oily, the dining room is very small, and there is a lack of sauce variety. I love the atmosphere of this joint and will most definitely be back for more!

Staff was cheerful, amiable, personable and proud of their product. Provided samples of their brisket and ribs which were perfectly smoked with excellent flavor and tenderness. Atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The portion size was filling! I will visit again soon.

Family owned small quaint and FANTASTIC OMG!Best BBQ ever. Had the smoked turkey wth bacon Mac-n-cheese and green beans heaven on a plate!! Highly recommend going here. Serve coke products and tea no coffee. And ladies are very friendly!!

Everything was awesome! Ribs fall off the bones, slaw and beans were different than any other bbq place and still amazing. The owner came out and asked us how everything was and thanked us for coming. Will definitely be back :)

Food is terrific! Have never had a bad experience. The bbq nachos are a huge hit with our family. My daughters recurring request for her birthday dinner. Starting to get a bit pricey, most of the sides have an upcharge.

Sooooooooo good! And I dont even like BBQ. Pulled pork and chicken are wonderful. Great BBQ sauce. Sweet potato fries are to die for. Wish there was one in STL, but worth the drive. Also wish they had better buns.

Excellent Beef Brisket. Large portion was more than expected. Green beans are very good as is the sweet and sour slaw. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it and will definitely be back.

Love this place. Been there tons of times. Its my go to place every Sunday when Im on the bike during spring and summer. Never had anything bad and service was always good. The ribs are great!!!

We had slider platter and a couple kids meals. All very good. Sides (sweet corn bites, applesauce, fries and BBQ beans) were great and plentiful. Service was quick and helpful. A must try!
