food is good, ambiance also, but service..........went today for my anniversary. was seated almost in the corner of the street , asked for a beer and the waiter took more than one hour to bring it, more with the food, a simple sandwich...then when I get my beer finally I decide to pick dessert, as soon as I go my beer disappears from my table.....many apologies but my beer is not replaced, have to go with a very bad taste in my mouth....the pommel frittes and the aioli are less than average. I was trying to use my french when I was ordering and the waiter was only repeating my order in english.....aioli for my frittes....aioli sauce for your fries????yes man. soupe a lonion.....onion soup??? yes man. Not coming back at all

Le Rêve hosts an exquisite Saint Valentines Day dinner service. It is a three course or four course meal with optional wine pairings. This past year the options were featuring dishes from different cities in France. I went with all three courses from Provence but you can mix it up as well. I enjoyed each course but most enjoyed the bouillabaisse. Our waiter was attentive and helpful in describing items we were unfamiliar with. Well do it again. The regular dinner services are not done in this format. They reserve the prix fixe style for holidays. Otherwise dinner is the regular way: ordering an entree, and maybe something else to go with.

Really good French cuisine. Friday after 2pm there is now crowd. A really good waiter made our visit enjoyable. Nice version of onion soup. Had a Portabella sandwich that was very tasty. The only downside is the goofy restaurant district with the super narrow one way streets that the locals consistently drove on the wrong way. I would park up the hill a block or so and walk down. Nice bakery, a little pricy but very tasty treats.

Ambience is excellent! Service is good, but could be a bit more attentive & speedy. (The waitress catered to the larger groups, & we were put in a corner & not waited on very well.) The food is good, but too pricey for the portions. Still, this is one of the places to go to: their reputation is well-known! My son loved his dish. I would like to try more crepes, & splurge on the pastries someday.

We ate here last night and really enjoyed it. Our waitress, Irene, was very knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions we asked her. I had the Steak Au Poivre which was delicious along with the rest of our food. This place is pricey so be prepared to spend a little money on your dinner, for the four of us it was just shy of $200 for dinner, drinks, and an app.

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Ive had causal lunch-ins here, brithday dinners, and date nights. I also find it lovely to buy myself dinner and cozy up in the courner with a book. The atmosphere is always cozy and pleasant. The food has always been good and flavorful. Defensively on my list of top 5 places to eat in Milwaukee

Went here with a friend to try the pastries. Very fast service when ordering the pastry and staff was friendly. The pastry was INCREDIBLE - we got the chocolate raspberry dome. Probably one of the best desserts Ive eaten in the mid west. One pastry was delightful to split with another person, making it about $3 per person for the experience!

Always reliable, the steak au poivre cannot be topped by any restaurant in town. The frites are worth the trip all by themselves. Thats not to mention the amazing pattiserie. This is the best restaurant in Tosa and Id put the menu and service up against any in Milwaukee. From breakfast to lunch to dinner I enjoy everything about La Weve!

Fantastic little cafe and bakery. The food is rich and varied. The portions are right just but a little pricier than Id like. The bakery is where this place shines. The macaroons are delicious (though sometimes I think they sit out too long). And the bewildering number of choices means youll have to keep going back.

A friend and I had decided on looking for a new favorite restaurant. I got recommended here from some other friends. What a delicious menu! Its the hardest place to find yet the most tasty evening weve had in a long time. I am most definitely coming back here .... getting lost is a chance Ill take. Lol

Brie starter was amazing, we tried two salads, the duck crepe, and the tenderloin sandwich and all were extremely well prepared. The wine list by the glass was tricky to pair really well with each course, but we were still satisfied. We recommend sitting on the lower level where it is much quieter.

The bread is incredible. The filet sandwich is sublime. The pomme frites are divine. Careful - they mistakenly thought a dessert was gluten free when it wasnt. Fortunately we double checked but it could have been dangerous otherwise. That notwithstanding the food was impeccable.

Dont cancel your flight. Food was good but not outstanding. French onion soup was more American than French & just warm Mussels were cooked perfectly but arrived no longer hot. Where is the bread? The bread is extra & some of it shipped in from NYC. Lunch. no alcohol.

My wife loves this place. I could take it or leave it for the price. Service has never been exceptional, and even poor at times. I do like the atmosphere - warm and cozy. Weve updated or visits to mainly a desert, night-cap, or a cappuccino at the end of the night.

I love our cozy neighborhood Parisian bistro. The Filet De Boeuf has the most amazing flavor combinations with Cambozola cheese, caramelized onion and black pepper aioli and a freshly baked baguette... perfection! Nice wine selection and the desserts are divine!

Incredible food for a fancy date, a posh night out with friends, or keep it a little more casual by stopping in to pick up a succulent dessert to go. La Reve serves top notch food, but the cost does match the quality. The desserts are more affordable.

First visit far exceeded expectations! I was dying to go here since we returned from a trip to Paris, and I was not disappointed. We sat outside on one of the last nice days of summer and enjoyed good wine and delicious food, cant wait to go back.

Great desserts, drinks, and coffee. Came just for those 3 and had fantastic champagne cocktails (French 75 and Kir Royale). Opera cake and caramel cake were both amazing. We got some macarons to take home...cant wait to try them.

Great food. I did wait longer than average for my salmon dish, but was told by my server the chef did not feel that it was prepared correctly and they were making me a new dish. When it came... it was worth the wait.

We drove all the way from Chicago to try this place out and we were not disappointed. Very attentive service, delicious eats including the very mouth watering pastry case downstairs. Would return in a heartbeat. =)

High quality all around at reasonalbe prices. Really authentic French food. Baguettes rival those in Paris, really. Great for a savory sandwich at lunch, a quick drink, or dinner for that special occasion.
