Horrible experience...sincere advice for the people not to go there if you have kids.......the waitress there was literally raising her voice over kids. Right from the begining she was not happy seeing kids when we entered and she started talking rudely .Even if you ask her something she was very rude .....they were not keeping the food if the item is finished . There was some miscalculation in the bill and when my friend was discussing regarding it she started raising her voice again .....we tried to talk to her but she was very rude and adamant and she continued talking , talking and talking ...... it was a terrible experience and my kid literally cried because of her bad behaviour with him..........Food was below average and number of items were quite less and to be very frank the containers were empty and they were not filling them if anything is finished . Dont know what they were charging for.....

I think Hui has great food, I actually prefer them to other Chinese restaurant in the area. I always order take out, they have never once mixed up my order and they are always polite and happy to see there costumers. Plus living in Wauwatosa its almost a given that everyone knows where or at least has heard of Huis.Other Chinese place where I have ordered take out have messed up my order so madly that I would never go back, like no rice, food being cold, item not in the bag when I get back to my house. I would rather buy more money for good food and service then pay less and not have what I ordered or cold food. So make the choice. Pay more for great food good and service or pay less and get what you payed for. Huis is my favorite place to order take out. Give it a try see for yourself.

I was recommended to try this place, got to gos twice ok, the price is expensive compared to other Chinese Food. Was considering the buffet, looked at it both times at our pick up but the selections look very poor and cheap. For the most part the dishes were never filled and the restaurant was full of people at the buffet. There is a big difference between good Chines Food and bad Chinese Food and most people cant tell the difference. I know I wouldnt pay that much for a buffet like theirs. I dont recommend this place. It is too expensive and the food/portion is average. check out other Chinese Restaurants.

The buffet was tiny and the food in it was terrible. The food in the buffet was cold and the staff didnt refill once the tray was emptied. Even the rice was overlooked or had been sitting out so long that it was crunchy. The egg rolls were in a pan just sitting on the buffet counter not even being warned. Service wasnt great and there is no atmosphere at all. My boyfriend and I came in and felt very awkward the entire time. While 10$ is a good price for a Chinese buffet it is way too much for this one. We will never go back and worse we will never get our money back.

An awesome little historic place that is easy to overlook, but very cozy inside. Theyve been in business for over 30 years, and some Tosa natives apparently return from hours away just to visit here. Be aware, the buffet is only on weekends! Other nights they offer a full menu of Cantonese entrees, including vegetarian options and small portions. Our server Rose was a delight, and even shared some of her personal recipes with us! Well definitely be back to this place, for both the delicious food (be prepared to take home extras) and the kind attentive service.

I love Chinese food and am always willing to try it anywhere. But for three decades now, I have consistently been drawn back to Huis 80-90% of the time. I have NEVER been anything but fully satisfied. Great staff, great food....always hot, always generous amounts, and always waited on by a smiling and happy employees who will do anything to please a customer. Makes me wonder about some of the crabby people who have posted negative comments. Not sure what they expect? But if you expect a wonderful meal, try Huis!

Just ate here today after watching the buzzfeed steak video and it was amazing. I got the spicy pork chops and my friend got the steak. The steak was huge and had so much flavor. I normally dont like pork chops but the pics looked so good so I tried them and Im glad I did. They were nice and crispy with jalapeños. Im definitely ordering them again next time. This is going to be a new spot for us thanks to the delicious food and awesome staff :

Huis is the best Cantonese / Chinese buffet I have EVER had! My whole family loves it! This family-owned place is a jewel that most folks dont even know about!! The owners are super friendly and the food is out of this world. For example - I typically do not care for pork-fried rice, but I just cannot get enough of theirs and I always go back for seconds of their awesome Lo Mein!! Oh, and dont forget -- you simply MUST have one of the donuts!

Huis food is very good and you get a lot of it. The food is pretty traditional Cantonese-American, so if thats what youre hungry for, youll be happy here. Huis is not a trendy restaurant, so the decor is old school, but owner, Rose, remembers repeat customers and treats them like old friends whenever they come in. Besides dine-in, they also offer take-out and delivery.

BEST CHINESE FOOD IVE EVER HAD. Their beef fried rice is my favorite and beef chow mein. The fried rice has like honey or something in it thats sweet and its sooo good. A perfect balance of sweet and savory. Ill never go to another Chinese place again. My family has been going there for over 10 years. For the people complaining try take out instead of buffet.

Horrible customer service Asked to exchange an item we didnt like for something my wife and I could enjoy and they refused. Nothing they could do because they got the order right. We just spend $33 with you and you cant exchange an item or do anything for us? Frustrating...

Roast duck porridge is really good. The porridge was well made, it had the correct flavor and consistency (i.e., they did not simply add rice to boiling water, that is rice soup, not porridge). The Chinese tamale was good and filling. Service was fast.

Always my favorite Chinese restaurant. Ive never had the buffet, but the individual dishes are prepared well and tasty. There is always a lil left to take home...the hot and sour soup is the best in Milwaukee

I would agree that its a bit pricey, but they give you so much food that it lasts for days. Their dumplings are awesome and their orange chicken had a hint of bbq flavor which was fantastic.
