Went there for lunch one day with my significant other! Really enjoyed the beers there. There were poor reviews about the food, which I think are not very accurate. I tried the Beer Mac, Cheese Curds and Wis-Cali Sandwich. I can see where people might not have liked the beer mac. Its cheesy, but you taste more of the "beer" than the cheese--and the consistency isnt that gooey goodness that Wisconsinites might be used to. Nevertheless, I think the taste was very unique! The cheese curds werent what I was expecting at all! They were very light and crispy, and not heavy-battered like a lot of other pubs around town. Personally, I enjoy both types, and so I found the cheese curds to be not-so-overbearing but light and a great appetizer. (Dont wanna get too stuffed before the actual meal!) Finally, I think the burger was absolutely delicious. I had the fries, which were crispy and not over-salted. I also had some of my partners yam chips which were absolutely delicious and I highly recommend! (Very thin and crispy, not heavy or "chewy" like some yam chips can be --YECH!) The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive to our table :) Thanks Next Door Brewing Company, youre great!

Brunch take-out, 11 am on a Sunday: Chicken and waffles. Waffle was eh. Fried chicken was 4 bites of what looked like re-breaded and re-fried chicken breasts. These were pieces, bits, small, 1/2 inch wide, 3 inches long, 4 of these bites, thats it, dry oily garbage. The watered down syrup and...what is this, gravy?! did not help. Monte Cristo: French toast was all egg. Fried, powdered sugar egg. Asked for fries in place of cut up potatoes, got a box of burnt fires. Should I have checked the quality of the food in my take out boxes before I left? Is that something consumers need to do now? Why didnt I take it back? I was already pissed, driving back and missing the start of the game wasnt going to help my mood. I have been here several times before, and this is the final nail in the coffin. Yam chips, terrible. Poutine, cold and bland. Beer...I prefer...not theirs. Service? I dont, I mean, you okay with serving me this stuff?

Implausibly bad beer and food thats a perfect match. I cannot fathom the praise this place gets. An uninspired, generic space that seems better suited to somewhere like Middleton. Deeply bad, and often contaminated tasting (flavors like banana, band-aids, etc) beer. I can only assume it is the denizens of SASY who so want a walkable brew pub that theyre willing to continue patronizing this place, but Im here to tell you the emperor wears no clothes and he brews terrible beer to boot. Roll over to One Barrel Brewing further up Atwood for a beer and a Frabonis hot-G pizza instead.

Great beer, and great food too! i see a lot of poor reviews on here of their food, but i dont know what the problem was. burger was great, yam chips were awesome. i think i saw a comment about the mac and cheese having no flavor, which, the mac and cheese was certainly lighter in flavor than other mac and cheeses ive had (like the junk you buy in a box), and i could see it being too low in flavor for those who are used to other stuff or thinking theyll get heavy mac and cheese, like how youll typically find heavier food at pubs, but that was just a different lighter style.

Been here a couple times before and have never had a complaint. The service was some of the worst Ive encountered. The server made no attempt to verify that everything was okay and was rarely seen. The bacon was burnt to a crisp, the veggie omelet had hardly any veggies in it, and the bread tasted like it had been cooked with propane. Im not sure what happened here but I miss the old Next Door.

Good beer, bad food. Loved the drinks, staff, and atmosphere but the food was despicable. Ordered a couple overpriced, and small portioned appetizers. My largest complaint was the meat was seemingly unseasoned which is just a sin. Short Rib Croquettes were the stand out disappointment. Meet a friend here for a drink, go somewhere else for dinner.

Great beer. Food tries but fails. Salad dressing tasted like womens perfume which is an absolute first for me. Chicken Ranch jalapeño fried avocado sandwich could have been so much more...portion size was smallest I have seen in a long time. Left hungry for another dinner. Couldnt justify coming back nor purchasing a growler.

Poor service and the food was seemingly ordered off some non existent kids menu. Chips and bacon were badly burned. A group member ordered an "omelette" which was a single egg and a 3 dime sized pieces of tomatoe. I dont ask for much and I never leave reviews. Im leaving a review. Burger was okay.

Laid back back chill vibe. Menu changes occasionaly and is filled with locally sourced, fresh products. Ive never had a beer I didnt like there. The beer selection changes quite frequently so there is always something different to try as well as their mainstays.

Came on a Monday, both the service and food were a little slow, but the food was tasty and the bartender was friendly when we saw her. Some of their beers are better than others, but Ive been before, and Ill be back again. Great for a neighborhood brewery.

This place is improving quick. The staff is motivated, the food options are good, and of course the beer is good. Id like to go back to get a better idea of what they serve and what to try next. Expect to see more options and more product in the future.

The beer is good and worth going for, but fill your belly first. The food is terrible. Ive eaten here twice, ordered different things, and had a terrible experience. The cheese curds lacked flavor. Overall the dishes were uninspired.

Went here for a late lunch, nice atmosphere. Im not too picky on my beers - but the Stupidinious one was good with the squash salad. Some customer parking around the building so you dont have to worry about street parking.

Soggy sweet potato fries, unevenly cooked wings, and a charcuterie plate that looks like the Woodmans meat counter randomly tossed it together. The beer is improving here, but with so many good choices on Atwood, skip it.

I loved all of their beers. Also, the bloody Mary flight offers a nice variety of spice combinations. I havent eaten here yet, but the menu looks wonderful & kitchen always smells good. Planning a brunch visit soon.

Love me some Next Door. So much so that I joined the mug club this year. Great beers and awesome elevated bar food menu. Love the yam crisps, brisket, wings, curds, and more. Give it a try if you havent yet!

A lot of hoppy beers, I opted for the Sevex! It was a surprisingly drinkable beer. Mmmmmnnnnn, hand battered beer batter cheese curds. Arrrrlllllloooww (make this sound in your best Homer Simpson voice.
