While this place was never great, it at least used to be edible. Not any more. The dumplings were doughy lumps. The orange beef was breading around a very little something which was some sort of meat, but basically not much of anything I would bother to call beef. The Singapore Mei Fun was nasty. Awful curry powder flavor dumped over the noodles and some meats mixed in that I did not eat. I went back the next day to get my money back, carrying the offending uneaten food, and was told only the owner was able to deal with this and he wasnt there. Completely ridiculous -- the guy who was there at the time was the guy whod been there the day before and was clearly in charge. I never got any satisfaction from them with regard to the refund, so, mostly, I just want people to know to avoid the place.

I have eaten at Great China several times and every time I have been consistently impressed by their generous and flavorful entrees. One dish is easily enough for two people, I have found. Their menu also offers a wide variety of different types of food so that no matter what type of Chinese food you enjoy, you will find it here. The only downside to this restaurant is that is sort of creepy due to the fact there are rarely any other patrons present when I eat there, and to top it off, they rarely have any music playing, so its an interesting dining experience... Perhaps a place best suited for take-out? None the less, one of the better Chinese restaurants in Madison - much less Americanized than other establishments!

Terrible customer service, food is okay but not great. I ordered chow mein which is a fried noodle dish and their food description says "with white rice and fried noodles." Instead, I got a chicken and cabbage dish in some sort of sauce which tasted gross. I called to ask about the mistake and they said they sent the right dish and there are no noodles in chow mein. Umm... google chow mein and see what comes up. Even then, their own description says fried noodles, but they wouldnt admit they messed up! Refused to give me a refund for the dish or acknowledge this was their mistake. Their website still says fried noodles and I have pictures. The other food was okay. Terrible experience, do not order from here.

Used to be one of my favorite local take out places but has gotten so bad Im surprised they are still in business. Avoid at all costs. The sesame chicken tasted poisonous the last time I went there and although I put up with the quality going downhill, that was just too much. Ive dealt with some unbelieably rude people and had my delivery order practically thrown at me. Ive seen them lose patience with customers and no matter how polite and quick you are to order, you risk getting growled at over the phone and not treated all that well in person.

Who ever I called hung up on me twice, was extremely rude. When I asked if he wanted my credit he laughed and said "yeah if you want to pay" I asked if we got the free crab rangoons that the coupon said were due to us if the order was more than $15 and he hung up on me. I called back for clarification and explained I wasnt sure because he hung up on me, he then hung up on me again. What the hell is wrong with this company? there are so many chinese restaurants in Madison, they are not the only one. Never ordering from here again.

used to love this place, now they dont know the different between soup and chow mein, and when you tell them? oh, you just messed up and ordered the wrong thing (even though they read the order previously in the convo to me, and said CHOW MEIN) they kept saying the chow main was with the chicken (which had rice) or that this other pint container ( with the soup ) was the chow mein.

Really bad. I opened my vegetarian/veggie noodles and it stunk like fish. (i hate wasting food but I had to give the container of noodles to the chickens) Our egg rolls were pink inside?? My husband General Tsos was a 2/5, breading was soggy and the order was wrong. I just wasted $30. Madison has no idea how to prepare real Chinese food. Im going back to Thai for good.

Sweet nd sour sauce is watery and the flavor is weak. Orange chicken tastes like betwesen general thoas chicken and orange chicken. The egg rolls were not cooked all the way and, not cooked enough on the insides, and it was all cabage in the middle. Not good at all. So disappointed. First time ordering Chinese food at our new place, and im very disappointed.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. We ordered and when the delivery guy showed up, he demanded a higher tip! All I had on me was a $20 and the order was $18. He started screaming about how it wasnt enough and that gas is too expensive and if I didnt have any more money, I shouldnt have ordered so much. RIDICULOUS. Never ordering from here again. Food was sub-par.

Normally service & food is good. dont know what happened today? dude that takes order was very rude. I always get the same food. always costs $7.00 today was charged $15.00 and didnt get fried rice or egg roll. what a rip off. when I called to get the right order he said I would have to pay again. That know one told him what food I wanted.

Last year, I used to order food from them every single week. I recommended this place to every one because the food was good and cheap. Now, they are just rude and cheap. I dont know what they are thinking but they seriously need to know how to do buisness with people. Im never ordering again from them.

This place fits the triangle of things you want from restaurants: cheap, fast, and good. You can be eating as quickly as 5-10 minutes after you arrive, and the food is pretty good for americanized chinese affair. Theres enough seating for groups of 4-5, and takeout is just as good an option as eating in.

Mmmm ordering delivery from Great China again! Love everything esp. Pork Lo Mein, Fried Potstickers and they will even do things not on the menu for me like fried rice with tofu and broccoli. My wife is picky about no grease, so when she asks them to use very little oil - they actually listen!

Ive been going here for years the food is always good. The atmosphere is okay never have to wait long. They have a fish tank that has 2 cute little turtles in it with some other fish if you like looking at that sorta thing while you wait.

Place an order for a small beef spicy rice .wasnt spicy at all .call Ed to get it replaced employee ignored my issues and only offered me $0.25 off will never visited again
