prices are higher than the walmarts in illinois, its like they know you dont pay a food tax in wisconsin so the prices are higher not to mention their distribution center is down the road.... figure that one out. the selection is very high its nice to see such a wide variety of items that is if you could actually find anything you were looking for. the store layout and aisles are asinine. lets take the normal 1-11 aisles and break them up into 3 different rows all with different hanging labels. its like keep the aisles and list the general items at the end of those aisles so you know whats down the whole damn thing and not have to look at another hanging billboard halfway down. food items are also scattered all over, dont even start me with the meats. it took me 10 minutes to find packaged ground chuck. i was in the store 5 mintues before i started getting fed up with not being able to find what i wanted and almost left. in short i probably will never shop here again unless i really need an item that walmart doesnt sell.

I was extremely excited about the new Kenosha Meijer store because Ive been to others and absolutely loved their stores. I went today for the first time and I hope to never have to come back. I went to buy a golf shift and was appalled at the disorganization of the store. There were clothes everywhere, the floor, the tables, and the dressing room. ROOM, singular. There is one stall for women and one for men. Who on earth designed that?! A line was formed for the ladys stall, so I just used the mens. There wasnt a single associate in the clothing department the entire hour and half I was there. I asked a manager for assistance and he actually had to call several people in the store to know who was working the clothes. After leaving, I went to Walmart and found the exact same golf shirt for half price. Returned to Meijer for a refund and waiting for another hour in line to get my refund. At least I got my refund in under 2 minutes so I can get out of that disaster.

I flew out here from Denver Colorado for my daughters high school graduation, and was looking for someplace to get something to drink. It was late at night, or early in the morning and luckily this place was open 24 hrs. Honestly, words can not describe how impressed I was with this store! Its amazing! Nothing close to this in Colorado. The selection is unbelievable, and the prices are unbeatable. The staff was very helpful, and friendly. Customer service was amazing. I wish we had a store like this back home. Seriously, its a wonderful store, and a truly wonderful experience. I dont usually review anything. In fact I never do. But this is worth mentioning. Thank you.

Ill admit I was overwhelmed at first, expecting a grocery store but finding it was BOTH a general goods store and a grocery store. Prices are reasonable, and customer service is FANTASTIC! The employees go above and beyond to help you find items. Plus, its open 24 hours, so it beats Pic N Save and Target on those accounts. I come here for all of my grocery stopping and late night emergency needs. Checkout lines are reasonably staffed. They could use more cashiers, though. The checkout bag wheel is revolutionary. Their bakery is the epitome of overachievement -- I always stop by to admire the well decorated food! Overall, you will not be disappointed.

The customer service was top notch today. Every team member I encountered acknowledged me either with a smile, greeting or both. At checkout I was getting ready to go through self-checkout and out of No where a wonderful woman, Meaney, asked if she could help me. Unbeknownst to her, I am a handicapped woman and I dont like bothering people. Her timing was impeccable. She processed my groceries, had two of her co-workers bag and made sure everything went smoothly me. My shopping experience was wonderful due to the stellar customer service I received. I will be back!

I have been to the new Kenosha store twice now and probably will never go back. The produce is terrible and there was no chicken in the meat department. When I called customer service to complain they pretty much blew me off. All she said was its a new store so things are going to go wrong. Plus I bought a few hostess times and didnt look at the sell by date.. Guess what... I bought it on the sell by date. Awesome. I will NEVER go back to that store again.

The "Home" part of the store was nice. But once I got to the grocery side it was a mess. The produce department was out of just about everything especially the sale items. The milk on the shelf was out of date that day. There wasnt any associate there to assist me when I wanted items that were empty. Prices arent horrible but not the best prices in town. I will only go back if I Am in dire need of something.

Gloria C was my cashier that day and she took the time before her lunch to explain the Meijer mperks app to me. Meany C another associate was very personable when it came to answering questions regarding hiring opportunities for a family member I was asking about. But overall, the associates working at Meijer, makes you feel welcome and are always around whether you need them or not.

This place puts Walmart to shame. Granted, it is a newer store, but its far cleaner than any Walmart Ive been to. They also stay on top of the lines, so youre never waiting too long to check out. The employees are accessable and always willing to help you find something. They dont just point and walk away, they seek out the item with you, making sure you get what you need.

Great store. Good hours. Pharmacy clerks are very nice and efficient. Seems to carry all major brands and also has lots of local items and some semi-luxury goods; similar selection to Target for non-perishables. Large variety of groceries. Prices vary depending on the item, sometimes can get very good deals, but otherwise prices are appropriate.

It is cheaper than Wal-Mart and also cleaner. It provides a well stocked grocery store on one side and a regular store on the other. The clerks there are helpful and over all polite. My only complaint would be that the bathroom isles are all the way across the store from the grocery section, but even that is only a mild inconvenience.

Awesome produce section. The meat prices are great. Not impressed with the deli. We kept getting potato salad that was fresh mixed with some spoiled. They have a great grocery section. Havent been around the rest of the store yet. Their website sucks though. Can never find anything in it. The search results are always lacking.

Urbex- A Peak Inside

Most people dont know, Meijer was the first company to ever come up with the hypermarket concept even before Walmart. Meijer has the concept much more refined than Walmart does. Their store is modern, upscale even though they have pretty much the same products Walmart does, they do everything a hundred times better.

Have been to Meijer several times since it opened and yes there have been a few hicups, but the store is new. You have to give them a chance to work out the wrinkles. People giving one star reviws you can have Walmart and its empty shelves. Ill go to Meijer find what i need, and it most cases cheaper.
