Today was my first visit to this bakery. I discovered it as I was walking back to my car from lunch at a place a few doors down. Everything looked really good and I wanted to try it all! I did try the Napoleons and the Macaroons. Both were really good. The Napoleons werent too sweet and the pastry cream was a nice texture. My coworker said the Macaroons were the best he ever had. I also, decided to try a White Mocha. It was amazing, better than Starbucks. It also wasnt too sweet so I wasnt overwhelmed by the sugary taste like at Starbucks, I actually tasted the good coffee. I did see Torani syrups on the counter and that is what prompted me to try the coffee. Theyre one of the best tasting syrups out there. I saw they had bread on the wall, $5 for a small regular sized loaf and $10 for the large loaf which is huge. I plan on buying one next time to bring home, along with a few other treats. I recommend trying the coffee and a few treats if you are ever driving by.

My husband and I live down the street and have always said that this corner shop must be turned into a bakery and cafe someday. We were thrilled when we saw the old shop get boarded up and a beautiful store front replace it. Finding out it would be a bakery excited us and we couldnt wait to visit! Our first trip there was the Saturday after opening. The vibe inside is welcoming and lovely. We liked that we werent the only ones with a toddler there, all the other patrons were warm and friendly. We happily picked out a chocolate croissant, salted caramel croissant, and a raspberry macaron. They were all absolutely delicious! And the cherry on top to all of this is that they serve our FAVORITE coffee, Lavazza! This place is worth the visit and going to be our new favorite place to grab coffee and a pastry! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Soooooo..... if you happen to be in Des plains any where near 14 and Mannheim come check this place out great coffee and even better pastries.... Super friendly staff and very reasonable prices. So next time your in the mood for a latte or macchiato or just a good old fashioned cup "o" joe this is the place. Got a sweet tooth dont worry they got you covered. In the mood for some breakfast pizza ( thats right I just said BREAKFAST PIZZA ) they got you again. Looking for fresh bread, want to go home and make a triple decker on the freshest sourdough you have ever had then this is the place

Very warm and friendly, great location and decor, a little expensive but understandable given downtown Des Plaines having trouble keeping businesses open. Their croissants and pastries are great, but the cookies and cakes are a little dry. Regardless, were always happy to stop in and grab something tasty!

They change the cookies and pastries every week. My husband and I tried their breakfast pizza, which is delicious! Also, they have a variety of pastries. What I love is that they are not execively sweet, you can really taste the flavor if the fruits. Very professional and very clean!

Happened to walk by on its opening day. The sweets are truly AMAZING. So much skill and care goes into everything they make. Its worth trying again and again. Glad Des Plaines now has a locally owned place like this downtown.

We love this local bakery - the freshly baked breads are fantastic and last all week if you have them pre-cut it and store it in a plastic bag. The scones are also delicious.
