First, this is quite likely the best Panera Ive ever visited. While its 5 stars on the Panera scale... its Panera. Until they put Champagne and steak frites on the menu and bring it to my table they cant achieve more than 3 dining out stars. So, there is always a steady camp of coffee/pastry pensioners in the morning, commuters and shoppers streaming through all day, and a solid lunch crowd spilling out on to the wrap-around porch . The neighborhood has found the service and food at Panera Lake Bluff to be friendly and reliable. Weekend bicycle clubs unclip under the patio umbrellas just yards from the nearby Grand Illinois Trail and enjoy a cool drink or step inside for AC. The counter help greets familiar faces like friends and the ladies in the kitchen dish up trays of carefully assembled salads and soups. Their cinnamon scones are better than the other locations--Ive been to at least 40 others in the Midwest--and (I never thought Id include oatmeal in a dining review) their steel cut oatmeal w berries is a cholesterol cutting treat. Its kind of hidden--facing away from the intersection of Waukegan and Rockland Rds toward Heinens--but stop in for the best Panera experience youre likely to find.

First time at this location and I was very impressed by the size of this Panera Bread. Almost like if you went to a bed and breakfast cabin. Very busy up here and upscale thats for sure. Friendly staff, and seems to be a popularity with people around here since its pretty busy. Food is always delicious.Love the autumn squash soup. They get a 5 star rating in my book for being one of the most warming and welcoming Panera Breads Ive ever been to. And...the Richlatino Chicagorican that speaks Spanglish not spanish that came all the way from the Northwest side of Chicago up this way can guarantee it!

Dont go there often, I usually visit the Panera in Gurnee and its going to stay that way! I ordered here twice and they got my order wrong both times. I noticed once I got home and called them. The second time, the lady named Shannon was VERY RUDE, she was like well for our "supposedly mistake" we will give you a free meal next time. I was so angry, Im like it was your mistake! Guess I will be making a call about her.

Every time I come to this Panera and order French onion soup. Except there is no cheese provided. Our Vernon Hills panera always provides a seperate container of cheese with the order. Hope the manager reads and correct the employees to provide the right soup ensemble ;0 As their to go pickup application is awesome!

Im a big fan of Panera, and this is the best location Ive found. The outside patio is surrounded by trees, and its not simply seating on a sidewalk of a parking lot. As Ive found at all Paneras, the staff is friendly, efficient, and customer-focused. I come here every time Im in the area.
