Family and I went to La Fogata for dinner. Our experience there was nothing short of spectacular. When arriving, we were told it’d be about a 35 minute wait for the patio area, which to me seemed reasonable wait time for a Saturday evening. The wait actually only ended up being 15 minutes, so already a great start. I wished I could remember the name of our waitress. She was amazing. It was so refreshing to experience this. She was genuinely friendly and the service she provided was wonderful. Even as busy as she was, she managed to stay very attentive to our party. She kept our beverages and chips refreshed, handed out the correct drinks to the correct people, checked back on us many times and were very friendly throughout our meal. Our familys favorite dishes here are the Pollo Gordo (to die for), Chimichanga, and tamales, which are made fresh from scratch here. No problem with substitutions as my son likes to hold the Guacamole and double the sour cream. The Voodoo Bucket is a great drink and you get to keep the bucket!

We really enjoyed La Fogatas. It is some of the best Mexican cuisine in the area. My experience has been that most dishes at Mexican restaurants all taste the same/very similar. Our party of four sampled a total of eight dishes (from apps to desert) and all had distinct flavor profiles. We ended up all sharing, because nobodys dish tasted like anyone elses and they were all delicious. On a five star system: Service was a 4 (good but not great) Apps were a 4 (awesome guac, good queso) Entrees a 5 (and wish there were more stars to give) Dessert 4 (very good fried ice cream, flan was just okay) Overall experience, probably a 4.6, so I rounded.

Delicious! Excellent killer margaritas. The House Ritas were perfect. We ordered them frozen and the taste and consistency were perfect. My wife and I both had enchiladas. Kathy had the three cheese. Drake, our waiter, recommended the Barbacoa enchiladas as "the best dish on the menu, hands down." Well, I dont know if theyre the best dish on the menu (this was our first visit), but they were excellent!! I would recommend them to anyone any time. So delicious. We sat on the four seasons patio. Atmosphere was nice. Slightly noisy, but it was busy. Very comfortable. Reasonably priced. Delicious, quality food. We will be back! Soon.

Ive been here once before and it was pretty good, so I came back... but it was pretty disappointing this time. I got some enchiladas, but they were so doughy and under-cooked it seemed. Needless to say, I didnt eat them. We also had the steak fajitas which was excellent by the way. It took forever to get a seat, which is fine, but then we ended up getting a table right by the door which was freezing (they didnt even seat us, just pointed). The service was decent, but the server also messed up our drink orders. Bummer.

This was our second time at LA Foga take and it was once again an incredible culinary experience. From the start the salsa is the perfect heat and consistency. I asked for the hotter salsa and without.a complaint I got a bowl of a perfect habenro salsa with the prefect heat. She got the Diablo shrimp tacos and I got the perfectly broiled pork burrito with the best refried beans in the state. The staff was perfect and even gave us extra chips and salsa without asking. Perfect meal

My experience was absolutely awesome! I dont usually like to take lunch breaks at sit down places due to time constraints but this place had prompt service and amazing food. I had the 3 taco lunch plate and the helpings were nice sized along with some of the best chips and salsa I have ever had. Anytime I need to have a lunch meeting I come to this place. Nothing but good things to sayand delectable things to eat!!!

My bias is that this was the location of my first date with my wife, the first restaurant we went to after being married, and the place we went after finding out we were pregnant. (also the first restaurant or son ever went to) Great food, that is quick, generously portioned, and delicious. They are amazing at changes and substitutions for allergies. And they have impressive margaritas options and beer choices.

Sitting outside at very wobbly table my huge margarita slid off of the table soaking my arm and nearly injuring the person next to me. The staff looked accusingly at me as they cleaned it up I explained that the table was really wobbly and they charged me for the 10.75 drink didnt offer another one and when I ordered another they charged for that. I used to love this place but no more. Very disappointed.

The atmosphere is great at this down near the lake Mexican restaurant. Food does not necessarily scream authentic Mexican, but is tasty nonetheless. The guacamole is fresh made throughout the day so I definitely recommend it. Drink specials are likely the "coup de gras" of this establishment with a good selection of tequila and other fine adult beverages.

Their chips and salsa are SO good to start. Love the enchiladas suiza personally. My husband loves their spicy fries and tacos (maybe not a traditional mexican side but hes Swiss-Irish, so go figure). We love this place! It does get packed in the evening so check out lunch if youve never been. Reasonable priced lunch menu too.

Great service, delicious food, and it is in a good location, we got there right before lunch rush just after they opened. Their spicy salsa samples were really tasty, and had quite a bite. My wife had beef tacos and I had a carne asada burrito and we both enjoyed each dish. Overall I highly recommend La Fogata.

Awesome. The food here is the best mexican food I have had in years. My wife studied in Mexico and said the rice is exactly what her host family made. She was all smiles. Drake was our waiter and he did a phenomenal job. We will be back. (this is an honest review with no ties to the business or staff)

Never been disappointed with the food or service. The wait to get in is the only downside (no reservations unless a party of 7 or more). So my suggestion, get a big group together and go (with a reservation)...I have had many of the items, all were good. Too many to list. Good beer selection too.

This is THE place to go for Mexican food in Kenosha. The ambiance here is perfect for an evening , the guys/girls, or the family, or even a date. There are a lot of places to go in Kenosha for good food, but this is a newcomer who has proven itself to be worth your time. I highly recommend La Fogata.

First of all the service...outstanding. Patty was our server. She was on top of everything, we had our drinks before we ever needed to ask. They were very busy and told us 20 minutes for a table of 6. I dont believe we even waited 5 minutes. The food was delicious, came out nice and fresh.

Just ate here and had a wonderful experience. Food was delicious, our waitress Liz was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations, and the restaurant was clean. Everything I could have asked for in a quiet night out with my wife. Thanks for the wonderful experience. We will be back soon!
