We suggested about 8 restaurant choices to some lifelong friends in from out of town. We agreed to try this instead of a Bartolotta or other big name restaurant. But it was not the special experience we had the first few times in Bay View. They ran out of the scotch my friends wanted. Also, I think it would be a good idea to give the prices when you list the daily specials. This is a common practice, unfortunately. It was pretty empty in there compared to when it was the River Lane. In my view, it would have been smart for the owner to come over to thank and greet us and the other guests. The food wasnt what i would call outstanding, and I doubt we go out of our way to return.

The food was overall fine, nothing spectacular however, this place is not kids-friendlyat all. No highchairs available, no childrens menu or even anything easy enough for children to eat. To top it all, when my one-year old child started crying, not a tantrum, just a hungry child annoyed for waiting too long for food, as we were ready to go outside to relax, within 5 minutes of the incident starting, who I assume was the chef as there was no introduction, indicated customers were complaining. We felt this was premature and overall rude. We were avid customers of the former River Lane Inn, and needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment.

I have one word for Pastiche in Brown Deer... Excellent!! My fiancé and I were utterly impressed with the cuisine served here. Everything down from the almonds, pitted olives, croissant, baguette, salad, entrées, and dessert was all on point and full of flavor. The meat was mouth-wateringly tender and juicy. The martini of the day was very creamy and light. The service was very friendly, professional, and informative. Definately a great place to eat for a special occasion, or even if you just want to get away and enjoy a good night with great food!

Gourmet Quality yet Large Portions. Frog Legs were Great. Cassoulet was Amazing! You cant go wrong here. Just go if you are considering. Frank provided excellent knowledge and service. Best French Food Ive ever had. You wont find giant quality entrees for $18 or $19 anywhere else. Go now!

Had an amazing meal with clients tonight! Wine was great, entrees were all gone, coffee and desserts amazing. Our server killed it and our guests asked us why we have been hiding this place!! Thanks to the staff bc it was great!!!

They had oysters Rockefeller the night we were there. They were the best ever! Also, best dessert in Milwaukee is the chocolate Ganache cake. Great wine list too!!
